Play A Saw

Good morning all, here I am again with another little card.
I had a lot of fun putting this one together.

This one was made for my hubby on our wedding anniversary!

The reason behind this odd card is that we went to a party a while back & someone
actually did play a saw! Yep, the kind you get from hardware stores!
It was incredible!
We were both stunned. I'd never have believed what a wonderful a
tune you could produce from a basic saw!

The watch/clock embossed panel was wiped over with gilding wax.
The clippings are from a cider bottle label! Hubby does love a cider!

The lace & buttons are from my stash.
The little sentiment tags are LOTV
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like my card!

Edited to add:- I was contacted via twitter by a lady who makes the most
beautiful music playing a saw.
If you have a minute, you can watch her here

I’d like to enter this card in the current challenge at
Daring Cardmakers - A Moment In Time

King Of The Jungle

Good morning all!

It's Monday, it's time for the new challenge at Eureka Stamps
& I have a card to share with you!
The theme this week is

I've made a simple card, featuring the magnificent digi 13001 Lion
I changed the colour of the image in word & then printed
on to some ivory cardstock. The sentiment was printed too.
I added a little grounding with a brown pencil & distressed the edges with
serrated scissors.
The card base & the mats are the same rich brown colour,
although they look different in the photo.
The paper is by First Edition, "Boho Chic"
I also added a little bit of lace & some raffia.
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you can play along this week, Anything Goes is always
a great theme to join in with!

What's New Pussycat?

Good Morning all, where did the weekend go?
I can't believe it's Monday already!
It's time for the new challenge over at Eureka Stamps!
The theme this time is
It just doesn't get any easier than that does it?
We're also having a Design Team call, check out the details here.
It's open to all levels of crafters & you don't need any previous DT experience!
So, on to my card!

I've used the super cute image Digi 409 - Checkerboard Cat
to make my Black & White Card.
I had the old Tom Jones song What's New Pussycat going around
in my head the whole time I was making his card!
I shaded the image slightly with a grey promarker to give it a little depth.
I added a tiny little heart button from my stash, over the little heart on the image
The spotty paper is from Papermania.
The lace is from my sash & the faux buttons were done with an embosslit!
The image & sentiment were cut out with Spellbinders dies
I distresses the edges of the paper, image & sentiment panel with a pair of serrated scissors

I kept this card fairly flat for posting but I feel I managed to give
the impression of depth with the matting & layering.
Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope we'll see you in the challenge,
remember you don't have to use a Eureka Stamp to enter, but there is
a little incentive if you do!
Don't forget about the DT call too!

Sweet Tulips

Good morning all!
Hope everyone is well today!
I have another card, made using the La Pashe Floral decoupage sheet
Mustard Pot & Tulips, to share with you today.
This one is A6 size & I've used the little round image that
came on the  sheet for my focal point.

People are always asking about what these bits are forso
I thought I'd show just one thing you could do.
You could also use them on the inside of your card, to decorate your
envelope or even a gift tag to match your card.
So, onto my card,
I used an A6 Kraft base
Added a mat of white card which I had embossed with a Sizzix
Honeycomb embossing folder, inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink
The image was cut out with a spellbinders circle then added to a
Scalloped circle mat of Kraft CS.
I used ribbon, lace, twine & a heart shaped button to embellish.
You can just about see that I've added a little inked scalloped circle
panel to the inside for the message.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my little card!

Baby Crib

Good Morning all!
Todays little card was made using the brand new La Pashe
Watercolour Wishes range which was on Create & Craft TV the other week.

It's not available on the La Pashe website until the end of this week.

I made an A5 tentfold card from an A3 sheet of cardstock then added the
background image directly onto the card front.
I cut out & added the decoupage then used some of the extra bits from the
elements sheet to decoupage the baby vest & toys on the shelf too!
I added a couple of layers of lace & some ribbon at the side.
I reckon this design would be perfect for  boy or a girl!

Thanks for stopping by!

CFAS Pins & Lace

Hi di hi all! Happy Hump Day!
It's all downhill from here towards the weekend! Yay!
It's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons!
The theme this time is
Here's my card!

I used an image from our sponsor who is our very own Jani!
The prize is 3 of her exclusive images!
You just can't buy them!

I used Ball Of Wool
Which I printed out several times, coloured with flexmarkers
I cut one image out, with a nestie then fussy cut sections of the rest,
allowing me to decoupage it up. It looks really effective IRL!
I inked the image while it was still in the die & dotted about with a flexmarker
for a bit of interest in the background.
The buttons are from my button jar. The flower button was  a spare button
from the suit I wore for my neices wedding a few years back!
I threaded a little button twine through them & tied little bows.

I added a dress form die cut which I embossed & inked,
some lace from The Ribbon Girl & a couple of pins from my stash.
The DP is a mystery so if you recognise it let me know!
Thanks for looking & I hope to see you in the
Pins & Lace challenge over at CFAS!

I'd like to enter my card in a couple of challenges:
Whimsy Inspirations - Vintage/ Shabby Chic
Creative Craft Challenges - Anything Goes
Inky Chicks - Use Two Different Die Cuts

Dress Form Birthday

Hi all, here I am with a little card to share with you!
This is for a friends birthday & it just kind of made itself!

I hadn't ever looked at the Scrapbooking Papers before today but
I was more than delighted with what I found!
The die cut dress form is part of a goodie box I got from Craftwork Cards.
I embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swirls folder then inked with
Antique Linen, Pumice Stone & Old Paper distress inks!
I mounted the dress form using foam tape for a bit of dimension.
The flower was cut using  Spellbinders Classic Circle dies.
The lace pearls & buttons were all from my stash!
the sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad Designs

I used the negative of the die cut dress form & inked inside the card.

The envelope got the same treatment!

Another little side view just to let you see the dimension.
Thanks for popping in!

Gardening Boots (Hers)

Good morning blog land!
Is it Thursday already?? I hope you've all been having a good week!
I've got a busy weekend ahead being sociable so I don't see much crafting
going on in this house! lol
So, being Thursday, here is my card for Just Inklined!

I've gone for a shabby chic kinda look with this one!
The image I have used is the fantastic
There is of course, also a his version!
These are just perfect for summer while everything in the garden is rosy!

I coloured the image with my usual mix of Promarkers & Flexmarkers.
I then cut out with a circle nestie & inked with Antique Linen distress ink.

For the layout I used this weeks sketch

I did jig it about a bit  bringing things forward & swapping shapes around .
It is also difficult to see due to the colours on the papers
but I'm pretty sure you can see the sketch in there!
Goodness knows where the papers are from, I seem to remember
they arrived when we were in the midst of doing up the house & got put away
whenever they arrived. the wrappers is plain cellophane which does't help at all!
Please feel free to enlighten me if you know!

I threaded some twine through the lace & tied a little bow.
The buttons are from my stash
The sentiment ticket is from Crafty Pad Designs.
Thanks so much for popping in, I really do appreciate it!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Think Pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Good Morning Bloggers!

Last month I did some  fundraising for
 Breakthrough Breast Cancer

I had my head shaved & ran a couple of card making challenges!
As a result of this, I heard stories from many people about how they
or a  loved one had been touched by Breast Cancer!
I was so touched by some of the stories, I felt I wanted to send a card.
This is one of the cards I made!

The image & the sentiment are part of a set from

Here's a closer look at
I coloured the image with a combination of my
Promarkers & Flexmarkers

The sentiment is one of several included.
I distressed it a bit, cut it out with a Spellbinders Die
& threaded some lace through it.

DP By Mujka Chic at  My Grafico.
I punched some flowers using my Tonic Punches
& layered them up adding a gem to the centre of each.

Here's a photo of the inside!
Thanks to everyone's generosity, the
total for my fundraising so far is an awesome
£2946.90
If you haven't donated yet & you'd like to help me round up
my figures to a nice tidy sum, you can find out how to
do just that on my Just Giving Page.
This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
I urge you to check for any changes at least once a month.
Early detection is the key!
