The Sheik

Good morning all!
The card I have to share with you today is the last of the samples I made for
the launch of the La Pashe
Wrinklies at the Movies CD Rom the other week!

The movie is The Sheik!
The card is an 8"x8" base.
The paper is from the CD also.
I cut out the decoupage & layered up using pinflair glue
The matted on to some white card stock
I felt I had to give them a little privacy, so I added some sheer fabric
drapes to my simple card design. I embellished with a few gems here & there,
a couple of little ribbon tie backs and that was pretty much that!
The designs are so great, they really just stand alone & you don't need much
in the way of fancy equipment to make great cards!
I took the photo then realised that a little of the frayed fabric edge had escaped as I
stuck it down. I used a heat source to seal the edge & stop it fraying any further.
Thanks for stopping by, I do hope you like my card.
I'd like to enter it in a few little challenges:

My Fair Lady

Good morning all!
It's a beautiful start to Sunday here, the sun is shining & it looks
like it's going to stay that way!
Here's todays little card!

It's another sneek peak at the samples I made using the
Wrinklies At The Movies CD rom
.My card is 8"x8"
I added a matt of plain black paper under the design  paper.
I then added some lace, black satin ribbon & sheer white ribbon.
I die cut a scalloped circle from plain black paper using a spellbinders die
then topped that with a little doily.
The decoupaged image was matted on to the black paper too!
I placed the image at a jaunty angle & added the sentiment above, using varying
depths of foam pads. The final additions were a feather, a triple bow & a little
black heart embellishment. The ribbon, feather & heart were all from
 Lelli-Bot Crafts

Shark Warning

Good morning all!
I hope you're well & have eased gently in to the week!
The card I have to share with you today is oanother of the samples I made for
The Wrinklies At The Movies launch on Create & Craft TV
at the weekend! They sold out in a flash!
No wonder, they are such great fun!

They'll be available on the La Pashe website soonI'm sure.
I used an 8"x 8" base for my card.
This design is an homage to the movie JAWS as you may have gathered!
The design paper was made to go with the image.
Although the decoupage isn't die cut, it's really easy to cut out.
I layered mine up with pinflair glue & added some
Anita's 3d Glaze to the bubbles & the sharks eyes.
The edges were distressed using a pair of scissors & inked with a liquid chalk inkpad.
The paper behind the image was embossed with a bubble folder.
I found a font similar to the movie title image & fussy cut the letters.
The glossy accent letters have been in my stash forever!
I just had to add some twine, an anchor charm, oh, & a doily too

Thanks for popping in to visit, it's always appreciated!

Silver Fox Trot

Good Morning all!
Almost the weekend! Woo Hoo!
Time for a Just Inklined card!

I've made a 70th Birthday card for a lady who loves dancing!

The image I have used is Silver Fox Trot., from Just Inklined.
This image is also available on The Wrinklies CD Rom.
I coloured it up with a mix of flexmarkers & promarkers, cut out with a nestie
& inked the edges with Antique Linen & Spun Sugar distress inks.

The button was made in my graphics programme. It was mounted on a piece of
foam tape for some dimension. I love doing these little buttons!

I have no idea who the paper is by as it's unmarked
& came from a goody box I purchased eons ago!
I added some of my precious favourite lace from my stash, then made three little panels
which I fanned out to echo the line of her dress.  A double satin bow & a couple of
stick pins were also added just to finish it off!

I decorated the inside of the card with some of the DP & a little
panel for a message to be written.
I was just looking at this image & thinking it would also be great for a
Christmas card or perhaps New Year if teamed with seasonal papers!
Thanks for popping in!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Saturday bloggy peeps!
Here's today's little card for you!

This was made using The Wrinklies CD Rom from La Pashe
The DP is from the CD too! Looks just like a stripey sheet doesn't it!
This is a little topper with a lovely couple & their fur babies!
I printed everything on to Print Perfect.
They have just the right weight of paper for every occasion.
I die cut the topper with my favourite circle nestie & used a scalloped circle
as the mat. I love how they fit together & they fit so many styles of project!

Here they are all snuggled up in bed together!
I'm so looking forward to getting some new fur babies to
snuggle up with! lol The flowers are made using the DP
& various sizes of daisy punch, with some shaping & layering.

I chopped up the insert & added the Happy Anniversary to the front
then added the rest inside! The punched edge is done with
a Papermania border punch, Daisy Doily

A few little self adhesive pearls to finish off & voila!
A really quick little card to make!
I reckon this took me about 20 mins including the printing!
(The little flowers did take a bit longer!)
