it went perfectly with the image so had to add it!

Love Cats 1st Anniversary Card

Hi everyone,
Here I am with my card for the QKR Stampede Challenge DT this week!
Some of you may have had a sneak preview as this posted by accident earlier
than it should have! Naughty blogger!

http://qkrstampede.blogspot.com/

Last year we moved house and we were
lucky enough to be invited us to a wedding by our new neighbours.
We had the most amazing time & it was great getting to know everyone.
Of course, we couldn't let the happy couples
1st Wedding Anniversary
go by without sending our wishes, so I made this little card!

The image used is
The sentiment is

I coloured the image with my promarkers, die cut it then added some
Distress Oxide while it was still in the die.
The papers I've used have been in my stash for a long time
but I have been very sparing with them.
Don't you just hate it when the things that you love run out!

To create the fishtails, I used the corner of a square punch.
Hope you like my little card & I hope you can play along with us this week!

Play A Saw

Good morning all, here I am again with another little card.
I had a lot of fun putting this one together.

This one was made for my hubby on our wedding anniversary!

The reason behind this odd card is that we went to a party a while back & someone
actually did play a saw! Yep, the kind you get from hardware stores!
It was incredible!
We were both stunned. I'd never have believed what a wonderful a
tune you could produce from a basic saw!

The watch/clock embossed panel was wiped over with gilding wax.
The clippings are from a cider bottle label! Hubby does love a cider!

The lace & buttons are from my stash.
The little sentiment tags are LOTV
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like my card!

Edited to add:- I was contacted via twitter by a lady who makes the most
beautiful music playing a saw.
If you have a minute, you can watch her here

Lavender & Lace

Hi everyone, happy Friday to you!
Is everyone off for the Bank Holiday weekend?
Here I am with the last of my Lavender Lister samples made from the papercrafting kit.

I love using all the little extra bits off of a sheet to make cards.
For this one used the little butons popped up on foam pads.
The sentiment is from one of the sheets too.
I also used one of the patterned paperw with some ric rac binding, a little lace,
and a few little sticky back gems from my stash!

I absolutely love the colours on this one.
The image would be great for so many different occassions too.
I added a little die-cut sentiment, the buttons are rescued from a cardigan
& the lace is from my stash!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Paper Piecing

Good morning all, it's Monday once again & time for this weeks fun new challenge
over at Eureka Stamps where the theme is
Here's my DT card!

As soon as I saw this theme, I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
I used one of the 4 images from the cube Digi 33301 Sunrise,
which I thought was just perfect.
I simply printed the image on to the yellow card stock & some green & brown paper
then cut out the different sections. Next, I matted & layered the image on to
green & brown card from my scap pile.
The Hello sentiment was cut three times
from the green & brown card then layered for added dimension.
I added some mesh & a couple of co-ordinating buttons & that's it!
I hope you can play along in the challenge this week!

I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:

Happy Ruby Wedding

Good morning all!
The card I have to share with you today is a commision.
I was given free reign to make a Ruby Wedding card
for a friend to give to her husband.
Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary Liz & John!
Here's what I came up with!

I used a white 6"x6" base & added a mat of ruby red card-stock.
The white, embossed card is from Lelli-bot.
I added a layer of ruby card, along the lower third of the card,
the bottom edge was punched using an EK Success border punch & a
mat of  the embossed card on top.
I created the hearts using the ruby red card.
I die cut them, then ran through the big shot to emboss, using Cuttlebug
swirls & swiss dots folders. Next I added some silver thread which was wrapped around.
In the past I have used embossing powder to give these a nice shiny appearance.
This time, as I had added the thread, I decided to try Anitas 3d Clear Gloss.
It took ages to dry (overnight) but I am really happy with the result.
The sentiment was created in my graphics programme.
I added 3 ruby red star buttons to embellish.

On the inside of the card, I added a mat of ruby red card & a
die cut heart in white, to write on.
Thanks for popping in, I do hope you like my card!
I certainly had a lot of fun creating it!

The Cat Is Out Of The Bag

Hi all, I hope you're well!
I have something different to share with you today!
This is my very first post as part of the DT over at

I was delighted to receive an email inviting me to join
the team of lovely & very talented ladies!
I'm super excited to be working with them all & with Eureka Stamps too!

The challenge theme for this week is
You can find the rules here

Now, here's my card.

The proverbial cat I mentioned is actually a
The image is available as both a rubber & digi stamp.
I used the digi image to make my little CAS 1st Birthday card.
I printed the image out several times, on some paper from my snippets pile.
Next, I cut out sections & layered them up for some dimension.
The stripes were coloured with a prisma pencil to add definition.
The sentiment was printed directly on to the Kraft card base,
using a free font called Kirsten ITC.

The ribbon is upcycled, (it's those loops you find on clothes
to keep them on the hanger) the buttons are from my stash!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my little card!
I had lots of fun making it up!
I hope you can play along in the challenge!

Sweet Tulips

Good morning all!
Hope everyone is well today!
I have another card, made using the La Pashe Floral decoupage sheet
Mustard Pot & Tulips, to share with you today.
This one is A6 size & I've used the little round image that
came on the  sheet for my focal point.

People are always asking about what these bits are forso
I thought I'd show just one thing you could do.
You could also use them on the inside of your card, to decorate your
envelope or even a gift tag to match your card.
So, onto my card,
I used an A6 Kraft base
Added a mat of white card which I had embossed with a Sizzix
Honeycomb embossing folder, inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink
The image was cut out with a spellbinders circle then added to a
Scalloped circle mat of Kraft CS.
I used ribbon, lace, twine & a heart shaped button to embellish.
You can just about see that I've added a little inked scalloped circle
panel to the inside for the message.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my little card!

I've been playing with my Washi Tape again!
I just love the stuff! Fantastic for doing a card in a flash!

The sentiment was simply printed from my PC then
I added the washi tape & a trio of buttons. The colours are
actually a closer match in real life but the camera just wouldn't
capture that! This card was ready in under 10 mins!
Thanks for popping in!

A Gorjuss Gift

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great Easter weekend if you celebrate it.
It was lovely to be off work for 4 days straight.
We managed to get out for lunch  enjoyed a few walks in the unexpected sunshine
over the last couple of days.
Anyhoo, I got a copy of the Creativity Magazine which had a
Santoro cover gift this time, so I decided to have a bit of a play!
I make loads of cards to sell for charity & as a result, I like to be as
thrifty as I possible when making them!
Here's what I made using the freebie & some stuff mainly from my scraps box!

Decoupage, buttons & paper were from the kit.
The ribon is upcycled from a christmas gift set & the lace was
a scrap from another project,
To be thrifty, I often split the decoupage & use every second layer to
make another image. You'll see a card I made using this in a mo!
The sentiment was cut with a Tattered Lace die.

Again, a scrap of lace, the gift set ribbon & some of the ribbon tags from a top.
The sentiment tag was part of the kit & I added a peel of greeting!

This is the second layers of the decoupage matted & layered then placed on an oval die cut.
The ribon is from another gift set & the lace is from my stash!
After I had stuck it on, it srtuck me that it would have looked lovely as bunting!
Bling from my stash & sentmiment from another Tattered Lace die

A kraft base for this one, a Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch added a
little bit of detail. The sentiment was a Tonic tape runner, which has lots od
different fonts. The little flower is from Do Crafts I think,
it's been kicking about my stash forever!

Last one for now, I used papers from my scrap box,
the sentiment is another font from the tape runner, a Tattered Lace
die cut heart button & some die cut flourishes to embellish
as well as a scrap of lace & some upcycled ribbon!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Thank You

Good moring all, I'm back to share another card with you!
This is a quick little CAS Thank You Card.

I've used linen embossed CS for the A6 base, then added a
panel which I embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder.
I just love all my embossing folders as they are so versatile & they
can be used in oh so many way's!

The challenge at Unstampabelles has an optional twist of what including
something you can see from your window!
When I look out my window, I see little flowers, all confised about what the season is.
I also see some Red & White tape (My twine) which is outside a house on our street
where there was a fire!
Thankfully no one was hurt & the damage was contained to just the one house!

The corners were rounded with a woodware corner punch
The panel was inked with a liquid chalk ink pad then wrapped
with some twine. The  sentiment was die cut using a sizzlet &  I
added a little button just to complete!

A little side view to finish, just showing the plain paper
insert  where a note can be written.
Thanks for stopping by!

Dress Form

Good Morning all!
Here's a  little card I made using elements from a kit I got a while back.

I've used Dottie Card from Anna Maire Designs for the 6x6in base.
I added a dotty sheer ribbon bow & a dotty button which was
the spare button from a blouse I had.
The border with faux stitching was part of the kit too.

I popped up the image & sentiment on some foam shaker tape
to give a bit of dimension et voila!
Super simple, quick & easy but I'm really pleased with it!
Thanks for popping in!

(I'll apologise straight away for the quality of the photos but I just
couldn't get the pics I wanted!)

A fairly simple Christmas card (I need millions of these!)

Our sponsor this time is Lacy Sunshine
Fabulous sponsor in 2014

The DT were kindly given images to play with!
The image I have used is - Santa Pickles

I used a die to cut the shaped end.

I coloured Pickles using Promarkers, trimmed the image then edged with a
Colour Q liquid chalk inkpad then matted on to some Kraft card stock

I used some Washi tape from my stash to add a border, then
finished with some buttons threaded with twine!
