A Birthday Card

Good morning all!
A Very Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate!

Monday would normally have meant a post for Eureka Stamps DT
but as they are taking a break for the summer, I thought
I'd share this card with you today instead!
It was made for my niece's husband.

I used a 6"x6" Kraft base.
The papers are from Papermania & were part of a covergift
which came with the Creativity magazine.
I distressed them with scissors & some liquid chalk ink pads.
The blueish paper was also embossed, using a brick embossing folder, before
being swiped with the chalk ink pad too.
Kraft was used for the matting & layering.
The sentiment was die cut from Kraft too, using a Sue Wilson die.

The centre panel was wrapped with some string & popped up
on some foam pads for dimension.
The inside was decorated to match but I didn't get a photo of that!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my little card!
Have a great day!

I'd like to enter this card in the challenges below:

One For The Guys

Good Morning all,
The weeks are flying in aren't they!
I just can't believe we are in mid June aleready.

I'm in the middle of trying to sort out my craftroom/spare bedroom
between guests but have taken time out to make this little card.
for the challenge over at Eureka Stamps this week where the theme is

I've used the gorgeous little image
Isn't it just adorable!
My mum & dad live just at the edge of an estate & go walking
in a local country park most days. Deer are a common sight, so I thought
this would be the perfect image for my Father's Day card to my dad!

I used a 6"x6" Kraft card base & Kraft papers which I lightly distressed with some scissors.
The image was coloured with Promarkers then cut using a Spellbinders die.
I added a computer generated sentiment, some twine & some
scrabble type wooden letters to embellish!
I hope you like it & I look forward to seeing what you create for the challenge

80 Years Young!

Good morning all! Hope you are all well!
( I must apologise for not being up to date on my blog commments.
I've not been feeling so great this past week but I am trying to catch up,
so please just bear with me!)

The card I have to share with you was made for my lovely  Dad
who celebrated his 80th birthday yesterday!
Happy Birthday again Dad!

I know he likes these colours & he likes Marilyn Munro
The card base is 8"x8" I do enjoy working with this size of card!
The papers are from my minds eye.
The fantastic image is from Marilyn from Ike's Art. I've used her several times now!
I coloured her lightly with flexmarkers the cut out with a Spellbinders circle die!
I used the layout from Paper Play Sketches & would like to enter their challenge!
Isn't it fantastic!
I changed it to a square & instead of adding further embellishments,
I used Tea Dye distress ink with a film strip die & some sequin waste
as stencils. I used a bit of Kraft CS for matting & layering!
The fish tails were created using a square punch.
The sentiment button was done in my graphics programme.
If anyone would like it, please just ask!
The ribbon & lace are from my stash! I do love adding a bit of lace to cards
for men, as long as it's not too flowery or sparkly!
Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cheeky!

Good morning all!
I have another card to share with you today!

This is a sneak peek of one of the samples I made for the launch of this exciting CD
To quote a friend
"The Big One was a limited edition compilation CD of the best of La Pashe 2008-2011 released five years ago, but people still ask about it now, so La Pashe thought they would re-release it, along with a second volume featuring everything they have done in 2012-2014"

Thanks Sharon, I couldn't have put it better

I, like lots of other people missed out on The Big One the first time around,
so I'm excited about this one!

Tune in next week to see Bailey presenting The Big One on Create & Craft TV.

Next Week's TV Schedule:

Mon 11th at 8am & 1pm

Tues 12th at 9am & 3pm

Wed 13th at 2pm & 6pm

How Many Candles?

Good morning all!
I'm back again with another, not so little card to share with you!
This time, it's a 21st Birthday card I made for my nephew!
Happy Birthday Richard!

The card base is 8"x8"
I used a Tattered Lace die to cut out the candles.
I can tell you it was a true labour of love cutting out all those little pieces
then sticking them all down!
Still, I think the final result was worth it!
The little Celebrate was cut using another TL die.
The paper was from my stash & the Happy Birthday was computer generated.
I also decorated the inside of the card & added a La Pashe, Short 'n' Sweet verse!

Thanks for popping in!
I hope you like this little card.

I'd like to enter this card in the folllowing challenges:

I changed the colour of the image in word & then printed
on to some ivory cardstock. The sentiment was printed too.
I added a little grounding with a brown pencil & distressed the edges with
serrated scissors.
The card base & the mats are the same rich brown colour,
although they look different in the photo.
The paper is by First Edition, "Boho Chic"
I also added a little bit of lace & some raffia.

The base is A6 Kraft CS. I embossed with a papermania pocket watch folder
Then swooshed with some DI in Antique Linen & added some bronze gilding wax.
The sentiment was printed on my PC using Mountains of Christmas font,

Sneak Peek Time

Morning all, have you heard there's a new CD about to be launched by
La Pashe!? It's called "The Pet Set"
I was lucky enough to be asked to make some samples for the launch,
using some of the decoupage sheets
Here's one of them

This is called Team work.
The gorgeous background papers are from the CD too.
The CD has lots of cats, dogs, horses and even some birds, due to popular demand!
I made asimple little card with the addition of some Jute Ribbon & a couple of buttons.
The card base is a bit bigger than A5 just to give you an idea of scale.
(I do apologise about the photo quality but the weather was
rubbish & I was keen to get these posted off)

You can just about see the dimension in this photo!
As always, the decoupage is a dream to cut out.

La Pashe Ltd

Football Crazy!

Good Morning everyone!
It's Monday once again & time for this weeks challenge over at
Eureka Stamps, where the theme is

The cute little image I have used is
(It gets a bit confusing, as we call Soccer football in the UK! Lol)

I used a 6"x6" square base in grass green.
The papers are by Papermania & I've had them forever.
I coloured the image with my promarkers, then cut out
with an X-cut square die.
I inked around the edges with a Colour Q
liquid chalk ink pad, while the image was still in the die.
The sentiment was printed, trimmed & then inked.
The photo corners are from a Sports themed scrapbooking set
that I found in a bargain bin at a craft show.
 I do love a bargain, don't you?
The die cut trophy is from a blog candy that I won years ago.
The little die cut fishtail was in my scrapbox,.

New Home

Good Morning all!
It's almost the weekend, do you have plans?
There are a few things going on around here, so not sure quite
how things will pan out!
Here's the card I have to share with you today!

A friend has just moved in to a new home.
He's back to the single life, so I thought this fun image was apt!
It's from a Kanban diecut topper & sentiment set, called
So Macho- Funny Business.
it's been around in my stash for a while, just waiting for the right moment!
In fact everything on this card has been in my stash for quite a while!
I used an A6 silver grey card base & embossed with a chevron folder.
The dotty tape is from papermania,
I used silver peel off's for the sentiment to tie in with the silver foiling
around the image. I also added a little silver key charm.
I kept this card flat so it could easily be posted.
That's about it really.
I know a lot of people find making cards for men quite daunting
but I find if you keep things fairly simple & add a smile, it seems to do the trick.
Thanks so much for popping intoday!
Have a great weekend!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter - Charming (use a charm)
City Crafter Challenge - Feeling Flat (flat cards)

Leftover Wine

Good morning all!
Leftover wine? Fact or Fiction? lol
Actually, the card I have to share with you today is another that
I made using left over bits & pieces from the  La Pashe
Grumps -Time for Wine decoupage sheet!

For this one, I used an A6 card base.
I die cut the image & inked with green liquid chalk ink.
I cut a mat from a scrap of Kraft card,
a frame & some fish tails from the last of the scraps of paper
from La Pashe. The stars were also cut from some scrap paper.
I cut them out & popped them up on foam squares!
These were all given the ink treatment too!

The sentiment is from a Tonic Tape Runner with has
Happy Birthday in several different fonts. I ran it along another
scrap of craft card which I fishtailed at one end.
The little bow is one of my recycled bits of ribbon!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you like this little card!

I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges

I'm delighted to say that these sets are now available on the website over at
La Pashe Ltd

Meet Bond, Jame Bond 070.

This was such a fun card to make!
The base card is A5. I inked through some sequin waste
for the dotty effect.
I used a spellbinders label die for the grey background mat.
I cut out & decoupaged the image & the frame.
The film strip was cut with a Spellbinders Die,
The sentiment tickets are from my stash of images & sentiments
to use up!

The little numbers were die cut too.

Doppleganger Take2

Good morning all!
Happy HUmp Day!
Here's another little card using a sepia toned image from a
La Pashe decoupage sheet!

I used the decoupage on another card just recently!
This one is for an anniversary!
I've used a 6"x6" Kraft Card blank for the base.
The DP is from my scraps & matted on to some very dark brown CS
I wrapped this with some twine from my stash.
The image was cut out using a spellbindes die & edged with some copper gilding wax
I did the same with a matt of Kraft.
The sentiment is from LOTV & was stamped & embossed with Copper EP.
I ran a bit of gilding wax around the edge too.
The little beads are from my stash!

That's it from me, I hope you like it!

Doppelganger

Hi everybody, it's Friday!!!
My all time favourite day!
I'm in work today but at a different location so wish me luck! lol
Here is the card I have to share today!

This is Doppelganger from The Grumps range @ La Pashe
Sorry the photo quality isn't great!
They say owners & their dogs look alike..... not sure in this case if the owner
looks like the dog or the dog looks like the owner but.....
there is a distinct resemblance there!
Not too much else to say about this little card!
It's actually an A5 tent fold.
The decoupage was cut out & layered up with pinflair glue.
The papers & sentiment I've used are also from La Pashe.
I cut the image out with a Spellbinders Die

I added a couple of Faux Leather fishtails &  a few
little buttons from my stash! I haven't decorated the inside of this one.
Perhaps a plain insert would be best.
Thanks for popping in, hope you like it!

Time For Wine

Happy Hump Day all!
Don't you just love a Wednesday?
Safe in the knowledge that it's all downhill towards the weekend!
I have yet another La Pashe card to share today!
I've been trying to tidy up a bit & have been using up some
of my scraps snippets & leftovers!

This one was made using the little sepia tone image leftover from the main
Time For Wine Decoupage Sheet from The Grumps range!
The papers are from La Pashe too!
I used a 6"x6" Kraft card base, added a matt of blue paper then the
star DP which was inked with a bit of distress ink
I added a die cut mat of the checked paper  which was also inked.
The image was cut using a circle die & the edges inked.
Next I added a frame cut from Kraft CS & inked then mounted on 1mm foam pads.
I added a strip of hessian/jute/burlap. The stars were cut from the DP & mounted on foam pads.
The sentiment is from a tape runner which has several different fonts.
Finally I added a little button, just because!

Belated Happy Birthday John

Good moring all!
I hope you had a good weekend!
The card I have to share with you today is a commisioned card.

This was for a friends husband's 60th Birthday.
I did intend posting it on his birthday but for some reason, when I
went off on holiday the draft just disappeared!
I used the Flippin' Men DIY Decoupage sheet from La Pashe.
It's a brilliant sheet for Joiners, Handymen & DIYers!
I used Kraft card for the A5 easel card base, matted the background
image & poem onto some plain brown paper.
The sentiment was created on my PC then cut out with a die.
The stop is made using a piece of kraft card which was given a decorative edge
using a Spellbinders Border Die & wrapped with some button twine.
This was then popped up on some foam tape.
Some card candy & my treasured tool charms were added to embellish.

Here's a little side view just to show the fold!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
