City Gent

Good morning all!
I have a card to share with you today!
This one was made for my brother's birthday!

It's been kicking about as a draft post on my blog for ages, so I
thought I'd best share it with you now!

I used the Papermania Heritage Press City Gent collection to make my nice & simple
A5 gatefold card. The decoupage was layered up with foam pads.
A bit of matting & layering with the papers & a couple of buttons to embellish.

I added a couple of buttons & an eyelet to the sentiment tab.
On the inside I added a die cut tag with a little a
La Pashe Easy Peely Short n Sweet Verse

I couldn't get the card to lay flat on it's own, so I popped
a paperclip on it to keep it in place!
Thanks for popping in today, I hope you like my little card!

I'd like to enter a couple of challenges as listed below:

AAA - #68 Tags  (W2) (Sun).

A Birthday Card

Good morning all!
A Very Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate!

Monday would normally have meant a post for Eureka Stamps DT
but as they are taking a break for the summer, I thought
I'd share this card with you today instead!
It was made for my niece's husband.

I used a 6"x6" Kraft base.
The papers are from Papermania & were part of a covergift
which came with the Creativity magazine.
I distressed them with scissors & some liquid chalk ink pads.
The blueish paper was also embossed, using a brick embossing folder, before
being swiped with the chalk ink pad too.
Kraft was used for the matting & layering.
The sentiment was die cut from Kraft too, using a Sue Wilson die.

The centre panel was wrapped with some string & popped up
on some foam pads for dimension.
The inside was decorated to match but I didn't get a photo of that!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my little card!
Have a great day!

I'd like to enter this card in the challenges below:

Where Oh Where Has My Mojo Gone?

Good morning all! How are we today?
Good I hope!
Today's card is my  Eureka Stamps Challenge DT card.
The theme this week is

I've used the fab Digi 20601 Most Special Day for my project!
Now what's recycled, you may well ask........
Let me tell you, I tried three other projects & managed to muck them all up
in epic proportions. My mojo has clearly gone off on holiday!
I had almost given up, & was running out of precious time,
when I came across the sentiment, which was already printed for another project
but not used, I rescued as much cardstock as I could from my
failed projects & recycled it into this little CAS, white on white one.

The cardstock is Centura Pearl, I think it's oh so pretty!
I made an A6 base card & added the embossed panel.
The sentiment was diecut using a Spellbinders Curved Rectangle die,
then popped up on some foam tape for dimenion.
I added some tiny little self adhesive pearls from Meiflower.
I have to say I was actually quite pleased with the results in the end.
Hope you like it & I hope you can play in the Recycling challenge this week!

I'd like to enter this little card in a few challenges:
Addicted to CAS - Bloom
Allsorts - Clean And Simple
Challenge Up Your Life - No Designer Paper

Get Your Sunnies On You'll Need 'em

Good morning all!
We're finally seeing a bit of summer up here in Bonnie Scotland!
Hurrah!!!
Now, it's Monday again so it's back to work for me but first....
It's also time for a new challenge over at
where your theme for this week is
Here's my card!

I opted for Hot Neon Colours! lol
The colours are even more vibrant in real life! lol
The image I have used is Digi 20002 Sm Ice Cream Bear!
What else would a polar bear do when it's hot?
The sentiment is from Eureka Stamps too Digi  20105 Chill Out
My card base is a 5"x5" gatefold.
The Neon papers are by papermania.
I coloured the image with promarkers & used the cuttlebug swirls
embossing folder on the orange paper.

The image panel just tucks behind the top part of the sentiment
to keep the card closed!
As you can see, I added the neon papers to the inside of the card too!
I hope you like it & I can't wait to see what you create for the

I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:
Come & Get It - Feature A Creature
One Stitch At  A Time - Anything Goes With Sweet Treats

More Gorjuss Girls

 Good Morning all,
Here's another selection of little cards I made using this month's cover gift from the
Creativity Magazine

I simply added some lace & papers from my stash,
a Happy Birthday peel off & gems to embellish.
The decoupage & sentiment were mounted on foam tape for some dimension

A get well card, again using items from my stash.

Finally a little Thank You card.
I used the lace for a bunting effect, matted the decoupage on to a Spellbinders
die cut oval which I had inked with Spun Sugar & Milled Lavender Distress inks.
The sentiment is die cut & I added a little sparkle using a
Sakura Clear Star gel pen.
I'd like to enter this card in the Use Kraft Card challenge over at Little Claire's
Thanks so much for stopping by, I really enjoyed playing with this
little cover gift & managed to make a total of 8 cards with it!

A Gorjuss Gift

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great Easter weekend if you celebrate it.
It was lovely to be off work for 4 days straight.
We managed to get out for lunch  enjoyed a few walks in the unexpected sunshine
over the last couple of days.
Anyhoo, I got a copy of the Creativity Magazine which had a
Santoro cover gift this time, so I decided to have a bit of a play!
I make loads of cards to sell for charity & as a result, I like to be as
thrifty as I possible when making them!
Here's what I made using the freebie & some stuff mainly from my scraps box!

Decoupage, buttons & paper were from the kit.
The ribon is upcycled from a christmas gift set & the lace was
a scrap from another project,
To be thrifty, I often split the decoupage & use every second layer to
make another image. You'll see a card I made using this in a mo!
The sentiment was cut with a Tattered Lace die.

Again, a scrap of lace, the gift set ribbon & some of the ribbon tags from a top.
The sentiment tag was part of the kit & I added a peel of greeting!

This is the second layers of the decoupage matted & layered then placed on an oval die cut.
The ribon is from another gift set & the lace is from my stash!
After I had stuck it on, it srtuck me that it would have looked lovely as bunting!
Bling from my stash & sentmiment from another Tattered Lace die

A kraft base for this one, a Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch added a
little bit of detail. The sentiment was a Tonic tape runner, which has lots od
different fonts. The little flower is from Do Crafts I think,
it's been kicking about my stash forever!

Last one for now, I used papers from my scrap box,
the sentiment is another font from the tape runner, a Tattered Lace
die cut heart button & some die cut flourishes to embellish
as well as a scrap of lace & some upcycled ribbon!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
