Put 'Em Up

Good Morning all!
Todays card is one I made a while back but haven't got around to blogging yet!

This stepper card was made using one of the Decoupage for Men sheets
The PapersStepper Card base are from La Pashe too!
I fussy cut the image then layered it up uing pinflair glue.

The papers were matted & layered on to the base card.
Here's a little side shot to show that I've decorted the inside too!
The sentiment is from the decoupage sheet. I adhered it to some white
card-stock, then wound with twine (to represent boxing ring ropes) & added
the star buttons which were from my stash.
Hope you like it!

Just Inklined To Hop With Ribbon

Good Morning all,
It's the first Monday of the month which means it's time for the

(If you're looking for my Ooh La La Creations post,
please scroll down to the next post!)

I am your host this time & the theme is Ribbon!
Here is what I created.

The image I've used is Kissing Robins.
I've used this image already but I love it so much I just had to use it again!
If you're in a hurry to hop on then please do, but don't foget to leave a little love
at each stop because we always have a little spot prize or two
to give away to someone who leaves a comment

Your next stop on the hop is Nicole, whom I'm sure has created
something awesome for you to drool over.
I don't think you'll get lost as we are still quite thin on the ground but
here is the hop order should you want it!
If you want to know more about my card, please read on.

I used a "Vintage Linen" distress marker & flexmarkers to colour the image.
I also inked pretty much all of the paper elements with Vintage Linen distress ink.
The papers I used are from the First Edition Christmas Village stack.
The striped ribbon is from Lidl & the lace was from my stash, I
have no idea where this partcular piece came from, everything I've used
on this card has been in my stash for at least a year or two even!
It's great to have the chance to use things up!
I'm loving these muted colours & tones at the moment.

I used a grand nestie sqaure die, to cut the main DP, & used the section I cut off
for the panel at the top. The DP is actually double sided so worked really well.
The scallops were created with a punch & the embossed sentiment was cut
from a scrap of DP from the same stack.
I hope you like my card.

Hey Diddle Diddle

Good Morning all, it's Monday already!!
The good news is, it's time for a brand new challenge over at
Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog
Our theme this time is an easy one,
Here's my DT inspiration card

I used elements from the Nursey Rhymes CD available in the shop
& made up the 3d decoupage sheet for the main part of my card.
I had lots of fun cutting out & the way it is designed, means you can
choose which elements of the picture you want to add dimension to!
I added a sentiment which was created on my pc,
cut with a nestie then inked with a liquid chalk inkpad & wrapped
with a piece of twine tied in a bow.
I also printed a line from the nursery ryhme dierctly onto the DP.
Here's a closer look at the decoupage.

If you haven't tried out Ooh La La Creations CDs yet,
I can tell you that this little design is available as a free sample
in the shop. It's really sweet isn't it!
Perhaps you'd like to use it to create an easel card too,
although you don't have to use Ooh La La Creations Products to
enter the challenge! I do hope you can play along!

Kelpies

Hi all,
I don't have a card to share this time but I just wanted to share a photo of these!
Meet the Kelpies

We have often passed these beautiful steel sculptures between Grangemouth & Falkirk,
which you can see from the motorway. Today we decided to get a closer look.
The are magnificent!
A word of warning if you do go to visit, the visitor centre is not built yet.
There are protakabins for the office, where you can buy tour tickets & a few items of
memorabelia. The toilets are also portakabins but are adequate.
The only food & drink available is from a glorified burger van.
I would recommend taking a picnic if you do visit as it was expensive & the
quality wasn't up to much.
There is lots of parking around & if you have any youngsters with you,
The Helix Park is well worth a visit lots to see & do.
