All You Need Is Love

Good Morning all!
I have an engagement card to share with you today!

This is for the team at work to give to another friend/colleague,
who recently got engaged! I think she's gradually coming back down to earth but
she was on Cloud 9 for quite some time it has to be said!
The background image is a colouring sheet by the lovely Teri Sherman.
She offered it as a freebie to members of her facebook group.
I used a Chameleon Pen to colour the hearts & added a bit of white accent.
(I left the rest blank as the young lady in question has an
adult colouring book & I knew she'd love the connection!)
The ribbon is from my stash & the hearts were cut using Sizzix Embosslits.
As a final touch, I addded a little heart button.

Here's a little view from the side too!
A few days after I made the card, I was asked to make a card to hold
a gift voucher. I made this from memory as I didn't have a photo of
the card at the time & I think I did quite well matching it up! lol

I forgot to add the white touches to the hearts before I took the photo,
so I had to go back & add that. To hold the gift voucher in place,
I added some photo corners to the inside.
I'm pleased to say it was well received !

Black & White Engagment Card

Hi everyone, belated Happy New Year wishes!
I apologise for being awol so long but I was laid low with a dreaded lurgy over
the festive season & I'm only just getting back to normal now!
Praise the lord for antibiotics!
So, I finally have a card to share with you,
this one was made a few weeks back but I didn't get a chance to share it
before I took to my bed!
If you're on the Crafting Cafe FB group blog hop, welcome!
I'll try to get round all the blogs as soon as I can!

A little 6x6 inch Monochrome Engagement card!
I used my all time favourite Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & Swirls embossing folders
(I love these because they are so versatile)
for texture, then added some lace & ribbon from my stash.
I created a sentiment button in my graphics programme, which I printed & cut out
using Spellbinders circle dies
I added a little punched heart detail in one corner & a little bling to balance it up.
Simple yet elegant!
Thanks for popping in, I hope you like my card!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges if I may:

Retarte - Ribbon Lace Twine or Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Embossing

The Crafting Cafe  December challenge for my layout

The papers are by Do Crafts, I've had them in my stash forever!
The edge punch is Flower Doily from Xcut. The lace is from my local
haberdasher & the brads were a bargain box find at a craft show.
As you can just about see, I decorated the inside of the card too!

Love Cows

Good morning all!
I'm so excited to share this card & the story behind it with you!

I've made an engament card!
The image I have used is Love Cows from Just Inklined
an alternative view on romance! lol
The papers are First Edition, Boho Chic & the sentiment was
printed out using a free font called Serengetti ITC

Here's a closer look at the image!
Coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers as usual!

Little letters cut out with my Cricut & hanging from some lace!

Now let me tell you the story! Hee Hee!
A friend from work went to Africa on holiday & on Safari in the Serengetti!.
Whilst she was there, her partner proposed!
They were sitting relaxing with a beer after lunch &
washing their pants & socks then hanging them up to dry as you do,
before heading out on their second game drive of the day,
when the chap started to say nice things!
He says nice things a lot but ended his sentence with
" & I'd like to spend the rest of my life with you!"
The girl turned round to see the chap on bended knee proffering a cow ring
(which he had given her on her 30th birthday!)
Of course, she said yes & they bought some Tanzanite to make the
"proper" ring whilst they were there.
Hence the design of my card!
I can't wait to see what she thinks of it! lol

Another little side view to let you see that I have used the sketch

on the outside & inside of the card!
Thanks for popping in to see my creation!
