Working With Sketches

Good morning bloggers, we're nearly there!
Are you ready yet?
It's time for my DT Project for this month's challenge at
The Crafting Cafe, where the theme is

Here's a little Christmas tag I made using Sketch No. 4
I think it looks a little bit like a Christmas Bauble!

I was going to share some of the others I had made with you but
the light is appalling & I need to get my wrapping up sorted so
I'm afraid must get on with it!
To make this little tag., I cut a the base circle from some corrugated
cardstock using a nestie. I added a strip of Washi tape (I love that stuff),
then glued on some Poinsettia confetti using Pinflair Glue.
(I did try a quickie glue pen initially but it didn't want to stick).
I added some curling ribbon, & a plain white panel on the reverse,
to write my message on.
If you haven't entered the challenge yet & you're wrapping presents
& making tags, why not try using the sketches for your inspiration,
take a little photo & link up to the challenge here!
The challenge is open until the 31st December.
Hope to see your entries soon!
I'd like to enter this little tag in the following challenges:
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - Last minute card or something you haven't shown already
Bastel Traum - Anything But A Card

(Sorry, their site is down for maintainence so will link when I can!)
I used Xcut scalloped heart dies to cut the tag & mats.
The letters were die cut with Sizzix First Step Alphabet dies

I printed out the image twice, coloured with a mix of Promarkers
& Flexmarkers, fussy cut around them then layered for some
dimension. The CS is from Southfield Stationers,
the gingham paper is from Carftwork Cards
The ribbon & twine is from Lidls gift wrapping section.
Thanks for popping in!

Tag..... You're It

Good Morning all!
Sorry this post is a bit late! I'm not sure why but Mr Blogger isn't playing nice today!!!
It's Wednesday again & it's time for another fun challenge over at
It's the third Wednesday of the month, which means it's an
The theme is Tag...You're it!
Yep, we'd like you to make a gift tag!
Here's mine!

I used the image
He comes with sentiments too!
Rodney has clearly celebrated his birthday in advance!! lol
It;s my Dad's birthday next week & this will be attached to his pressie
which is more than likely to be something with bubbles in! lol
I coloured Rodney with Promarkers then cut him out with an oval nestie.
I matted him onto a scalloped oval which I embossed using the
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.
The sentiment was done on my pc & I matted it onto some embossed card too.
I added a couple of mosaic gems to finish it off!

Here's the Inspiration photo!

I based my layout on the sketch at 365 Cards

Here's the reverse of my tag!

I used a Sizzix Original Scalloped Tag Die & cut it out twice.
I embossed both sections with the Cuttlebug Swirls
embossing folder. Then stuck them together.
I added an oval section similar to the one on the front
write on! I finished it off with some Funky Fibres!
Thanks for stopping by to look!
