Santa's Sleigh

Morning all, it's time for a new challenge at 2 Sisters!
This is my final GDT project for them!
* Sad Face*
It's been great fun! Thanks so much for having me as GDT!
*Smiles*
This week the theme is
"Anything But a Card"
Here's what I have to share with you!

It's a little Santa's Sleigh made using Candy Canes & chocolate bars!
So easy to make but so much fun!
I think they are great substitute for overpriced selection boxes!
I first saw these on Jak Heath's blog!
She had a link to a tutorial but I decided to google & see what else was out there!
There are so many tutorials of different styles!
I had a look at them all & decided what I wanted to do!

Here are some of the ingredients I've used!
Candy Canes & a 4 finger Kit Kat formed the base.

I decided to wrap my chocolate as my other half was playing Santa on Christmas Day
& handing these out to all the little ones.
I was worried that in the mayhem, the chocolate would
end up all over my sisters floor!
This way, the theory was that if the kids tore them apart,
it should just be the outside wrappers& not the actual
chocolate wrappers that tear.
This particular model was wrapped in kraft paper,
I also did some in scraps of wrapping paper!

I tied each "present" with some twine!

Here are all the presents ready to be glued together!
I used my hot glue gun to do this!

Two of the finished articles!
The Santa's on these look really laid back! lol
I actually made 18 of them in the end as everyone wanted one!

A view from a different angle!
I can tell you that these little babies went down a treat
with the adults as well as the kids!
Thanks for popping in!
I can't wait to see what project you make for the
I'd like to enter this project in the following challenges!

Dustin, Santa & Rudolph!

Hi all I hope you had a fab Christmas & Santa was good to you!,
Here's another little Christmas card I made!
I really wish I'd had the time to take photo's of more but hey ho!
We were, it has to be said in total turmoil & it ain't over yet!
I'm hoping the DIY bug leaves this house before 2013! lol
That said, it will be nice when it's done!
We're currently having new lights fitted inside the wardrobes
which involves the wardrobes being emptied, painted & holes being
cut in the wall then wires being fed through & wired in!
The lights will switch on whenever you open the wardrobe doors when it's done! Yay!!!

Once again, it's a little CAS card as it had to be posted out!

The card base is an A6 Kraft tent fold card
made from an A4 sheet of Kraft card-stock from
Southfield Stationers. The girls in the factory shop there could charm
the birds from the trees & I always end up spending more than
my pocket money allowance every time I visit! lol

The image I have used is the pre-coloured version of  the freebie
Isn't it just adorable. I added a few touches of glitter, white gel pen &
a little shading but it's hard to see in the photos!

The paper is from my stash, I have no idea who it's by,
the ribbon is from Lidl & the sentiment computer generated.
The snowflake is a Marianne Creatable die!
I added a simple paper insert to this card.
Thanks for popping in!

A Trio Of Penguins

Good evening bloggers & a very
Merry Christmas
to all of you who celebrate!
I just stopped by with one of the many Christmas cards I made
this year! As I have so many to post out, CAS is the order of the day!

I used an Elegant Square card blank from Craftwork Cards.
I love the shape of these!

The image I have used is "Penguins Three" from Bee Crafty
I've had this for a couple of years & when I went to find the link I
struggled a bit but you can find it here.
Coloured with Promarkers then matted on to black Glitter Card.
There's nothing particularly big or clever about this card!
I added a peel off "Happy Christmas" sentiment & some
glass gems from my stash which were also coloured with Promarkers!

The inside of the card was decorated with a matt of
black then white card!
Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you like my nice & easy Clean & Simple little card!
