April Showers & May Flowers!

Woo Hoo it's Sunday & that means it's time for another new challenge at
The Crafty Pad!

This week it's once again "The A Team's" chance to WoW you
with their wonderful creations!

The theme for this weeks challenge gives you the option of

#168 April Showers Bring May Flowers and/or Sketch
We want to see those flowers in bloom on your papers,
your images or as embellishments on your creations!

Here's my card

The lovely Leesa gave us this great sketch to work with.

I rotated it a quarter turn & changed the shapes a little!

I used an A5 card blank as my base.

The design papers I have used are from one of the brand new

digital paper sets at The Crafty Pad Designs!

Meadows Lane Delight

The image I have used is Penny Pamper!

She's just finished having her "April shower"! Lol

As you can see there are flowers on her shower cap,

towel & the bathroom rug!

The pattern on the base layer of design paper resembles flowers &

the matt of the script design paper's wording is about flowers in full bloom

I've added some flowers that I made using Papermania paper flowers

which I scrunched up, inked & then layered using brads as centres.

The image was printed onto some smooth card,

coloured using a mix of Promarkers & Flexmarkers,

using Spring Colours to match with the papers

& rounded the corners with a punch

The sentiment was created on my PC using a font called LMS Hippy Chick

which you can download for free from here, There are little

flowers on the letters if you look closely!

I also added some sheer ribbon, with a double bow, a heart shaped pearl stick pin

& some Green Papermania Mosaic gems to further embellish my card!

Paint The Town Pink!

Good Morning All!

Here I am with a GDT card for Guylous Inimitability!

I was lucky enough to win one of their challenges a couple of weeks ago

& I was invited to GDT for them! Yippee!

Here's my card!

I made an A5 card using the fab sketch below!

The papers I have used were from a stash swap I did ages ago,

but I think they are from Do Crafts.

The pink paw print ribbon was part of a candy I won ages ago.

So simple but lot's of possibilities

The image I used is called Sundae & Paint

With a name like that I had to use ice creamy spring time colours!

I coloured Sundae with promarkers.

Next, I cut out the image with a Nellie Snellen frame die

I added a couple of flowers which I stained with an ink pad

then layered & a couple of punched leaves

The little paw shaped brads are from my stash!

Challenge Deadline: Participants have until 10:00pm on April 19th to submit their project.

How to participate: Participants can enter only ONE project per challenge, but if they use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp, their project will count for two entries.

Prizes: A winner will be selected randomly and will win:

1. A $10.00 gift certificate from Guylou's online store

2. and the winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on one of our upcoming challenges.
