Non-Traditional Christmas Colours

Good morning all!
It's Monday again, time is flying by!
It's time for the new challenge at Eureka Stamps
Where this week, the theme is
Here's my card

I used the sweet little image, Digi 17502  Snowy Church Circle.
I used a hot pink A6 base card & printed the image and sentiment
onto some super smooth card-stock. I coloured the sky with a Flexmarker in
Blue Grey & used my Sakura Glaze Pen to colour the rest.
I added some touches of glitter using my Sakura Clear Star pen.
The button threaded with twine was sitting at the side & cried out
to be added to my project, so I did just that!

So there you have it, a CAS Christmas Card in Non-Traditional Colours.
You can see a little of the sparkle in this side view!
Hope you like it & I hope you can play along in the challenge!
Sorry my photos aren't the best but the weather was miserable & I just
didn't have time to wait for it to clear!
This card  was made with a couple of challenges in mind:

Crafty Calendar - Let it snow
Brown Sugar  - Buttons
QKR Stampede - Snow Scene
4 Crafty Chicks - Non-Traditional Colours

Gingerbread Treats

Morning all!
Here's my latest GDT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog!
The theme this week is Gingerbread Treats
The images used by the DT & GDT were kindly supplied by
Here's my card!

I did plan a totally different card but hey ho, this is how it turned out!
I enjoy seeing where my stash takes me sometimes! lol
I used a scalloped square card base from Craftwork Cards

The papers I have used are from my last years stash & I have
no idea where they are from I'm sorry!!
I coloured the image with Promarkers then chalked around the outside
& in the background with Colourbox Q Fluid Chalks Ink Pads

The ribbon is from Lidl, it's actually meant for gift wrapping but great for crafting too!
The snowflake is cut with a Marianne Creatables Die
That was also from last year & I can't find my dies at the moment!

Here's a side view of my card!
The sentiment is a peel off, for some reason they seem to come
into their own at this time of year! I also added some buttons from my stash!
I hope you can join in the challenge at 2 Sisters this time!

Stop Press: I have been sorting my craft stuff & have
just now found my snowflake dies! Yay!!!
Ah well there's always next year! lol

A Christmas Recipe For You

Good Morning lovely bloggers!

Here's my card!

The DT were  given images from

our lovely sponsor for this week!
I've been making sooooo many red green & gold
Christmas cards, I decided to go with non traditional colours.

I coloured up the image with Flexmarkers & added some
I used a Papermania Snowflake embossing folder
then matted everything on to some silver mirror card.

My three snowflakes were punched with a Woodware punch
& layered for some added dimension. I then added a pink
self adhesive pearl to the centre of each.
I layered my two ribbons one on top of the other & added
a bow using both. My sentiment is a Christmas Sentiment Ticket
from The Crafty Pad Designs where there is a 25% off sale at the moment.

Here's my card from the side!

Christmas Sparkle!

Good morning peeps!
Today's card is my GDT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog!
The theme is Christmas Sparkle.
My card has lots of sparkle but I'm not so sure you can see it in the photos!

I used an A6 Kraft base & the DPs are Papermania  Festive Frolics
The Bauble Paper is glittered!
I matted the DP on red paper & the image on mirror card then red paper.
The sentiment was created on my pc.
I wrapped with two colours of bakers twine  & tied a bow!
I wanted to give this card a funky kind of feel!

The image I have used is Bark At The Moon from Stitchy Bear Stamps
I love this image!
I highlighted some of the shaded areas with flexmarkers
but I guess you could use the image just as it comes
My family have had Huskies for many years & have spent many a
cold winters day at rallies with racing teams!

I was hoping you could see the sparkle done with a
Sakura Clear Star pen a bit clearer in this photo!

My sentiment!

Fairy Grand Ma!

Happy Thursday peeps!
Here's a little card I made using a Just Inklined image!
It's such fun!

I made an easel card!
The design paper I've used is a free download by
Marisa Lerin over at Pixel Scrapper
I've distressed the edges with scissors & then an chalk inkpad.

The image I have used is Fairy Grand Ma
Isn't she just so cute? Everyone should have one! lol
I coloured her up with my Promarkers & Flexmarkers then
added some sparkle with a Sakura Clear Star pen!
I love that pen! Glitter without the fuss! lol
I cut out the image with an oval Nestie then distressed the edges
& matted her onto a scallop oval of pink paper.
I added a DP Panel where the pink paper was punched with
a Martha Stewart Pine Needles border punch & added some pink
spotty ribbon which is Papermania I think.
It's been in my stash since last year.

For the base section of the easel, I mirrored the layout
but added a sentiment which I made on my pc & cut out
with a Sizzix Label die. I added a little more ribbon & a couple of buttons
Hope you like it!

Winter Wonderland

Good morning Happy Crafters!
Things are finally starting to take shape around my house
& it looks like we might be more or less organised for Christmas!
Yay!!!! Thank goodness!
Today I bring you a little card I made as GDT for
This weeks challenge over there is

I made a little off-set gatefold card.
I made one side a little bit wider that the other just because I could! lol
For the base I used cardstock from Lidl.
My supplies are running low & I wish they'd get more in as I love it!
The paper I've used is headed paper from the company my brother works for.
They re-branded & had some left over headed paper which was great quality & far
too good to throw away! Luckily my brother immediately  thought of me & saved some!

The image is from Molly Skates from The Digi Garden
I coloured Molly up with some Flexmarkers & Promarkers
then cut her out with an oval Nestie. I inked the edges with a Colourbox Cats Eye
chalk inkpad then matted her onto a scalloped oval of the base cardstock.

The sentiment was simply printed on the pc & then matted onto some cardstock
which was punched with a corner punch at the bottom to replicate the shape of Molly's Skates
The Dp I have used is another from the Papermania Festive Frolics  Pad.
I punched the edges with a Martha Stewart Pine Needles edge punch

I decorated the inside of the card then, wrapped some organza ribbon
around, securing at the back & under the image then tied in a a bow.
Thanks for dropping in to see my card!
I hope you can play in the Challenge

A Pretty Pastel Christmas Card

Good morning bloggers!
I know, I don't usually post on a Saturday but
I won a challenge over at Two Sisters Challenge Blog
& was invited to GD with them!
I love playing in their challenges so,of course I jumped at the chance
although I probably shouldn't have as we are still in the midst of
DIY & redecoration! lol However, there is light at the end of the tunnel &
all the floorboards in the lounge are actually on the floor now!
Next up is the hallway!

The theme for  the Two Sisters Challenge #116
is Pastel Christmas
Here's my card!

It's a little A6 card. I'm trying to keep my Christmas cards as flat
as I can this year so I can  mail them with a normal stamp.
The pink ribbon is from my stash & the papers are remnants of
two digital downloads by Elaine Hayhoe over at
Card Making Downloads here & here.
They have been printed off since at least last year
in my Christmas Stash!

The image is the lovely Finch On Pine by IKEsART
I coloured it up using my Promarkers & Flexmarkers
in pastel type shades.

I decorated the inside of the card with scraps
of the DP's. I also added some Papermania Mosaic Gems
just to finish the card off!

Get Out Of Jail Free!

Good morning lovely bloggers!
I can't tell you how happy I am that it's Sunday!
We're having some work done in the house & we're all topsy turvy!
To top it all, our carpet fitter caught us on the hop & decided to come a week
earlier than we were expecting him to!
Great to get it done quicker than we expected but a lot of work
in a short space of time!
Today, we're over the worst & most rooms are heading back to the right side of  normal!
Anyhoo, over at The Crafty Pad,
this weeks challenge theme has been chosen
by the lovely Joanie
 Her theme is #180 Interactive
we want to see your interactive cards, sliders, waterfalls, wipers,
shakers anything at all that moves!

My crafty stash has been packed in boxes & moved around so much that
I have no idea at all of what is where!
Hence, my Get Out Of Jail Free card!
I managed to pull this together with just the aid of a printer,
some card-stock, some paper, DST, a little bit of ribbon & not much time at all!

I've used one of Debbie's get you out of a jam cards.
All I have done is printed onto some card-stock, cut it out & added some
DST & ribbon! Simples!

The instructions are clear & easy to follow!
Here is the first part extended!

Both parts extended!

The insert!
If you need a card in a hurry, believe me, these are your best friends!
All the work has already been done for you!
This would also be great for those of you starting out who want to make your
own cards but not spend too much!
This card also comes with an envelope but I just didn't have the time or the
energy to get that one sorted!
I also apologise for the slightly squiffy photos!

I will most likely embellish this card a little more with glitter etc!
(when I find it that is! lol)

Thanks for stopping by!

What Colour Is Yours?

Good morning lovely bloggers!!!
It's Sunday again & time for the brand new challenge,
#172 at The Crafty Pad, where the theme is
"Colours Of Your Flag and/or Sketch"

I live in the UK so my flag is Red White & Blue

I'm not sure why but I really wanted to make a Christmas card for this one!

The cute little image is Christmas Ted Posting Letter
just one of  a series of Christmas Teds over at
The sentiment ticket is from the Christmas Sentiment Ticket Set,
you get a set of  11 tickets for a mere £1.20!!!
here's the sketch before I forget!

I am such a doughnut I forgot all about the sketch when I was making my card!
Duh, it's such a fab sketch too!!!!
Our Sponsor this week is the lovely

who is offering one lucky winner
a fab £10 Voucher to spend in her awesome online store!

Heres a closer look at Ted!
I coloured him with promarkers & added some Diamond Sparkles Glitter.
Not sure you can pick it up on the photo!
I added a little border which was punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

I coloured one section of the ticket & added some glitter too.

The paper has been in my Christmas stash forever & is a
download but I'm not sure where it's from.
You can just about see that I've decorated the inside of the card too
but I've also forgot to take a picture of that! Doh!
A trio of buttons in the colours of my flag & a red organza
ribbon bow finish off my little creation!
Thanks for popping in today!
I hope you can find the time to join us this week at The Crafty Pad.
