Jar Of Hearts Scribbles

Hello everyone!
I'm here with another card to share!

A few weeks back I was invited to be a guest Scribbler over at
I was of course delighted & jumped at the chance!

Here's my debut GDT card!
I used the sweet image #890 Hearts Mason Jar to make my card.
The card base is a Kraft 145x145mm square.
I coloured up the image using my promarkers then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.
I edged everything with a pink Colour Q liquid chalk inkpad.
The paper I have used is one from Lidl, it seems I have been using these
a lot lately. My craft/ spare bedroom is a bit topsy turvey so it's hard to get to things
for the moment and these might just be a little easier to get to than others!
I just happen to love them too! lol
I added a section of doily as when I think of things that come in Mason jars,
I always think of doilies & ginham. Which brings me neatly on to the ribbon
which came from a crafty friends de stash.
The die cut hearts were cut with an embosslit (another crafty de stash buy)  & the
sentiment was die cut twice from  Kraft CS using a Lawn Fawn die then layered
to give a bit of dimension & shadow.
I hope you like my card & I hope you can play in the challenge.
The theme at the moment is " A Song In My Heart"
You can use a song title or pehaps some of the words as your inspiration.
The inspirations for my card was the title:
Jar Of Hearts, from a Christina Perri song!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Let's Color Saturday Linky Party  anything goes with something colored

My Funny Valentine

Good evening all!
I have a Valentine card to share with you!
This one was made for my hubby!

He never gets me anything for Valentines day but I have to say,
although he's not outwardly romantic, it's the little things that count!

I used an A6 Card base. Each layer of this card is sponged with some
liquid chalk ink & then popped up on foam tape for added dimension,
as I didn't need to worry about posting it!
The embossed CS was from Jelly Bean Crafts, I wrapped it with some
gingham ribbon from Lidl. Then added the heart panel!
The heart panel was cut using an X-Cut Filigree Heart die then backed
with some red CS from my scrap box, then  the die cuts inlaid.
Thanks for popping in!
I hope you like my little card!
I'd like to enter it in the following challenges

Engagement Card

Good morning all!
I have a card to share today!
It's not a great photo so I will apologise in advance!
I had to take the photo in a hurry & it was the best I could do!
Now, onto the card!

This one was for a friend/work colleague who got engaged over the Christmas break!
So nice to have some good news to celebrate!

I was doing a bit of blog hopping & saw this card
on Sara Davies blog & loved it, so decided to do my take on it!
The base card is 6"x6" Centura Pearl.
The sentiment was printed directly on to the card using a free font
 called Fiolex Girls
I added a mat of pink paper then added the squares.
I cut the heart shape out with a Spellbinders die, then backed with some dp from Lidl.
I used foam pads to pop up each of the squares.
The Love word is a Memory Box Die
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you like it!

Happy Ruby Wedding

Good morning all!
The card I have to share with you today is a commision.
I was given free reign to make a Ruby Wedding card
for a friend to give to her husband.
Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary Liz & John!
Here's what I came up with!

I used a white 6"x6" base & added a mat of ruby red card-stock.
The white, embossed card is from Lelli-bot.
I added a layer of ruby card, along the lower third of the card,
the bottom edge was punched using an EK Success border punch & a
mat of  the embossed card on top.
I created the hearts using the ruby red card.
I die cut them, then ran through the big shot to emboss, using Cuttlebug
swirls & swiss dots folders. Next I added some silver thread which was wrapped around.
In the past I have used embossing powder to give these a nice shiny appearance.
This time, as I had added the thread, I decided to try Anitas 3d Clear Gloss.
It took ages to dry (overnight) but I am really happy with the result.
The sentiment was created in my graphics programme.
I added 3 ruby red star buttons to embellish.

On the inside of the card, I added a mat of ruby red card & a
die cut heart in white, to write on.
Thanks for popping in, I do hope you like my card!
I certainly had a lot of fun creating it!

Love Hearts

I have another card to share with you!
This is the Valentine card I made for my husband. I couldn't take a photo
of it before as all my photo's appear on his phone too!

I wanted to keep it fairly clean & simple but a little bit in your face too!
It's an A6 base with an added a panel that was embossed using a piece of sequin waste,
then inked with a liquid chalk inkpad. The sentiment was printed directly
on to the panel using my PC. Next I cut two hearts from some red & white dotty paper
using a sizzix embosslit. I love how that baby cuts & embossed at the same time!
I covered the hearts in clear ink & heat embossed with clear embossing powder!
I wish at this point that I had some UTEE but I don't, so,
I repeat the process until I get the result I want!

You can see the high gloss here!
I added some red & white twine & tied a little bow just to finish it off!
I hope you like my little card which features another of my favourite techniques!
If you have a favourite technique, why not make a project using it & share it with us in the latest challenge over at The Crafting Cafe!

Zei Prom-Teenage Birthday

I love this image for teenage girls!
The papers I have used are from a pack I got in Lidl!
There are lots of different styles in there & they are great quality & value.
The hearts were diecut then added to a hand cut matt of white CS
Here's a closer look at her!

I coloured her up with a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers.
Then inked the edges of the image with a liquid chalk inkpad.
I added a couple of little glass embellishments which I've had forever!

I decorated the back of the card too!

A little side view just for fun!

Embossed Hearts Valentine

Hi everyone!
Happy Valentines Day to you all!
The card I have to share with you today, is a little Valentine card!
Well it had to be today didn't it!

This was such a simple card to make & it has been bouncing around
in my head for absolutely ages! I'm so glad to finally get it out!
I used embossed linen cardstock from Southfield Stationers for the base.

I cut two little hears from some Design Paper that I got in Lidl.
The paper was part of a book & is double sided.
It already had little embossed lines with flecks of glitter in.
I covered the hearts with some clear Versamark ink then
embossed with clear embossing powder, using my heat gun to melt.
I would have prefered to use UTEE but I don't have any so I
repeated the process several times until I was happy.
The swirls panel is the linen embossed cs which I originally debossed
then decided I didn't like it so used the reverse side.

I added my sentiment, which I created on my pc, at the top.
If you're looking for a challenge to play in, the theme over at
The Crafting Cafe this month is Embossing
Thanks for looking today.
I'm off to start my day with a visit to the dentist.

the perfect image for cool cats, couples in love, Anniversaries &

Whoop  whoop!
This week for Challenge # 155 the theme is
The DT were given the adorable Love Birds Image to work with!
Debbie, the lovely boss has put all her New Release Images on special offer
& you can pick them up for a mere 59p at the moment!
Don't miss out these offers won't last for ever!!!
So, on with the business in hand!

 Here's my card!

I used an A6 tent fold card base.
I coloured the image using my trusty promarkers & cut it using the
Out Of The Box Technique & an oval nestie!
I then inked the edges with distress ink
You can find a great tuorial here for the Out Of The Box Technique.
The layout was a sketch

I've had to search but I eventually found it!

 .
The paper is from the Ad Lib Collection by Bo Bunny.
I edged the white panels & paper with distress ink also.

The lower white panel was edged with a heart border punch & backed with the red card.
The word love is a Papermania mulberry greeting which has been in my stash forever.
It originally said With Love but I chopped the With off!
The roses are from Sweetpeapollys Crafty Things & the  flourishes were
 cut using a Papermania punch.
I also added two lengths of ribbon, red & green. from my stash.
The little heat buttons in the top corners were from my stash too!
The inside of the card was decorated to match the from without the
image or embellishments.
