Add Some Sparkle

Good morning all!
It's Monday & time for the new challenge over at Eureka Stamps,
where this weeks theme is:
This post will be short as my 'puter is about to run out of battery.
The power cable is broken & I'm waiting for the new one to be delivered!
Eeeek!
On to my card........

I used digi 9702 Eureka Butterfly for my card.
I made a little easel card for a child. Using lot's of bright colours.
I coloured the image using my Sakura Glitter pens.
It's hard to capture the sparkle, but you may see it better below!

The sentiment ticket was in my folder of already printed images & sentiments
and has been there for a very long time!
I have no idea where it's from so if anyone recognises it let me know & then,
I can give credit for it!
I coloured the ticket with the pens too!
The gems are also from my stash.
Thanks for popping in, I hope you like my card & I hope
you can play in the challenge this week!

Sunny Days

Good morning all!
Happy Monday to you.
I'm full of the joys today because the sun is shining & I'm not in work all week.
As it's the Edinburgh Festival & Fringe this month,
we've taken some leave to join in the fun!
Anyhoo, as it's Monday, it's time for the new challenge over at
Eureka Stamps where the theme for this week is

The images I have chosen to work with are
I decided if the sun was shining, the colours needed to be bright & cheerful.
I found a piece of paper in my scraps box, (it's from La Pashe), with just
the colours I was looking for!
I found a lovely piece of cardstock to match the pink & took it from there.
The images were coloured using my promarkers
The sentiment was done on my pc in DJB The Cheerleader font.
I cut the fishtails by hand. I used spellbinders dies to cut my ovals & a
Martha Stewart punch for the butterfly.
The little pearls have been kicking about my stash forever!

I had great fun making this card & I love how it turned out.
I did actually intend to colour the pom poms & perhaps add a little glitter
But hey ho, I forgot I've decided she looks fine as she is so she'll stay that way.
I hope you can play along in the challenge
I'd like to add this card to the following challenges:

Hey Diddle Diddle

Good Morning all, it's Monday already!!
The good news is, it's time for a brand new challenge over at
Ooh La La Creations Challenge Blog
Our theme this time is an easy one,
Here's my DT inspiration card

I used elements from the Nursey Rhymes CD available in the shop
& made up the 3d decoupage sheet for the main part of my card.
I had lots of fun cutting out & the way it is designed, means you can
choose which elements of the picture you want to add dimension to!
I added a sentiment which was created on my pc,
cut with a nestie then inked with a liquid chalk inkpad & wrapped
with a piece of twine tied in a bow.
I also printed a line from the nursery ryhme dierctly onto the DP.
Here's a closer look at the decoupage.

If you haven't tried out Ooh La La Creations CDs yet,
I can tell you that this little design is available as a free sample
in the shop. It's really sweet isn't it!
Perhaps you'd like to use it to create an easel card too,

enter the challenge! I do hope you can play along!

I decided to go for a traditional/vintage Christmas Card!
I have used Pyramid Decoupage & papers from the Boys To Men CD,
available from the Ooh La La Shop
I just loved this image of children with their dog & their ice/snow dragon!
The little guy in the crown is just too cute!
Isnt it fantastic?

I've added lots of glitter but I'm afraid I just couldn't capture it
without my card going awry! The ribbon I have used is actually a lovely
dove grey colour but it hasn't photographed too well either!
Roll on the better weather & better light for taking piccies!

Here's a closer look at the image, it just so cute!
I love his little onesie!
I remember looking out of the window as a child, watching for
a glimpse of  Santa & his reindeer going about their business!

I added a bow made with silver twine & sparkly funky fibres
with a little jingly bell! The DP is from the CD-Rom too!
I added some glossy accents to the lights.

A side view so you can see the layers.

Inside the card, I've added a panel to write on, with a row of holographic

Spring Is In The Air!

Spring Is In The Air over at The Crafty Pad for Challenge #116!
Here is my DT card!

Our Challenge this week is sponsored by

Who are offering a fab prize of £10 to spend on anything of your choice!
They have templates, digi papers & lot's more too!

This week the lovely boss, Debbie from The Crafty Pad Designs
(where you can buy digi & polymer stamps)
has asked the DT to use a Window or Wishing Well image.

As I used Windows last week I thought I'd use the Wishing Well this week!
The image is called Boy & Girl at Wishing Well!

I coloured the image with Promarkers as ever & chalked in the sky!
The little girl started with beautiful blonde hair but, as I was a bit heavy handed with my chalks, it turned out green! (lol) She is now a beautiful brunette!
I distressed the edges of the image using a pink Ink It Up inkpad.
The ribbon was a bargain buy from Imag-e-nation!
£1 for a card with 4 or 5 different ribbons!
I made a border using a multi function punch and distressed it with the same pink.
I then matted & layered using lightweight blue card & the lovely Flora papers by Lilly Bimble
My base card is a white scalloped square.

The sentiment is a freebie from Sentiments4you, it was cut out with a scalloped circle nestie & I again distressed the edges with pink . It was mounted on foam tape to give it a bit of dimension.

The flowers and leaves are from Sweetpea Polly's Crafty Things on ebay.
Thank you soo much for stopping by. I do hope you have time to join in with our Spring Challenge over at The Crafty Pad.
Don't forget to stop by the other DT members blogs when you get a bit of time & leave them a little love too!
