Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining!

Hi all, here is today’s DT card for My Grafico!

The digi set the DT have used this week is called
Up Up & Away,  from Sanqunetti Designs

I have to admit I had to enlist the help of my friend Debbie for this one (as the png images are totally transparent & I didn’t have the pc savvvy to make them white) so that I could do this layout!
She gave me in depth instructions, which were totally idiot proof!
I do love my online friends!!!! Thanks Debbie!
The balloon images were coloured with promarkers &I gave the clouds “Silver Linings” with my Sakura Clear Star pen. The sky was coloured with blending chalks which were sprayed with fragrance free hairspray to prevent smudging! I added some flower gems,which I've had forever in my stash,then placed a tiny gem in the centre of each flower to finish it off!

The papers I used are from Scrapbookingmad Springtime Collection. which I've had for ages I printed the harlequin type paper straight onto some A4 cardstock & simply folded in half for my card base. The other papers were printed onto lightweight matt photopaper.
I matted the image onto the blue paper which I punched with a Martha Stewart punch down one side then punched the corners. Next the pink layer with punched corners  & finally a white layer.
I then tied a ribbon around the card & secured with a roller tape pen.
Have you ever been on a Hot Air Balloon Trip??? I did it a couple of years ago & it was sooo peacful & quiet up there! I thought I'd be terrified (I have a fear of heights!) but it was AWESOME!!!!
It came a close second to Swimming With Dolphins!!!
This card is for a very special person who has just begun a long journey & I want her to know I'm there with her every step of the way!!!

    Just to let you know, you listed me as Spring, but you entered "Be a Sport". If you make the change this is perfect for Be a Sport. however, I admit I didn't even think of taking a balloon ride. And your card is so cute. I love the coloring and t he saying in the cloud. This is really a cute digi set. Thanks for joining "Be a Sport" at the Cheerful Stamp Pad.
