Good evening lovely bloggers!
I just had to share this story with you!
The lady in  the photo below is Lorna
who is a crafty friend!

Lorna has spent this year raising funds for the
Juvenile Diabetes Unit at The Royal Sick Childrens Hospital in Edinburgh!

Here's Why!

"My grandson has Type 1 diabetes and, like a lot of things, it is not until it is in your own family you realise just how this changes daily life with constant counting carbs and injections to counteract any hypo.

I only have about 8 weeks left of my fundraising year for the above cause and I would be really grateful for any donations or if you could please share this post with all your friends."

Lorna is a very talented crafter & works in Southfield Stationers
She has been making & selling craft items & has worked really hard at her fundraising!
To date she has raised the fantastic sum of £1,230 for this worthy cause!
You can read more about Juvenile Diabetes Here
You can donate on her Just Giving Page
If everyone donates just £2 it would make a real difference
to Lorna's fundraising & to the Juvenile Diabetes Unit
as well as all the children who need to use this facility!

"My employer is hosting a Charity Day for the above, so if you are free please come along for a fun day.."
10 November 10am - 5pm
Southfield Stationers
Hardengreen Industrial Estate
Eskbank
Dalkeith
Thanks for taking the time to read this post.

If you live in the area, perhaps you can pop in to support Lorna & have
a little fun at the same time!
Maybe think of stocking up on some crafty goodies too! lol
There's a fantastic little coffee shop too!
Thanks for reading this little story!

in to the spirit of things! lol
The images were coloured using a mix of Promarkers,
Flexmarkers & Sakura pens.

My DP is from Papermania, I've had it in my stash for ages!
I cut out the image with a nestie&  used a little gold inkpad
to distress all of the edges !
I wrapped the panel with Bakers Twine & added a little
Christmas tree charm.
The circle sentiment is from my stash & has been printed out from last year.
Not sure where it came from, I have a feeling it may be Sentiments 4 You,
which is temporarily closed, but I can't be sure!

As I usually do, I've added a little decoration inside my card!
So now the time has come for you to head off to Esther

Christmas is Coming!

Happy Sunday all you lovely bloggers!
It's time for the new challenge at The Crafty Pad this week!
It's my turn to choose the theme this time!
The theme I chose is
 "Christmas is Coming!"
You can enter any Christmas themed project you like!
Here's my card, it's a little scalloped circle easel card.

The image I have used is
I altered it, in that  removed the sentiment & made my
own circular sentiment around the image using my graphics programme!
The Ribbon Girls have a photo/colour inspiration challenge this week!

I've used that as my inspiration!
They also have a fab give away on now too!

The image was a dream to colour  with my promarkers
& I added some sparkly highlights using my trusty
Sakura Clear Star pen!
I printed & coloured the image twice.
I cut out the first image with a circle nestie then fussy cut around the second
& layered it on top of the first one.
My base card was made
using a gold coloured card blank.

The sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad too,
you can find it here

The ribbon I have used was from a local haberdashery shop.
I found it in their bargain basket a couple of years ago.
I added a little bell which I had in my charm jar!
I have no idea where it came from.
Thanks for stopping by & checking out my creation!

Woopsy, only 12 hours late with my Blog Candy Winner!

Good evening crafty bloggers!
I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about my blog candy today!
I was up early & got my towels on to wash, stripped my bed,
did some ironing, got crafty & then did some home DIY with hubby!
We were sorting out some sprung floor boards today
as well as varnishing some doors.
We also had to wait in for our old sofa's to be collected by the charity shop people!
I can't tell you how good it feels to have a little bit of space back in the house!
So now, without any further ado let's get down to the business in hand!
There were 20 comments on my candy post.
The candy prize is a 15 Euro Voucher for

Having checked the comments, there was one duplicate which I deleted
just to keep it fair!
Mr Random .org was called upon to make a selection!

He picked #14
That's you Nancy!
send me an email to dawnyfox(at)gmail(dot)com
& I'll give you the voucher code!
Thanks so much to all who entered!

I'm Bedazzled!

Happy Hump Day bloggers!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
We the Dude & Dudette's have been given a week off from
Dude Time Doodles this week as there is no challenge but....
Here is the card I have to share with you today!

The image is Bedazzled Beth!
She's a total knockout don't you think?
I love her little 'familiar' in the form of a cat too!
Beth is from Dude Time Doodles!!! lol
If you entered the BCA challenge at Link Up For Pink
You might have been lucky enough to get her for free!
She's perfect for Halloween & especially for a Halloween Birthday!

Such attention to detail, just look at those killer heels!
I coloured Beth up with a selection of promarkers & flexmarkers
then distresses the edges & inked them.
I added some Diamond Sparkles for a few highlights!
Must say they look a bit green in the photo but it was the only way
I could capture the sparkle!

The sentiment is from a free sheet by Caz & was lying
just beside me at the right time!
The ribbons & buttons were from my stash
The gauze was salvaged from work  as it hadn't been used
& was about to go in the bin as it was past it's use by date.
It started out white but I attacked it with a black promarker
et voila! Inky fingers!! Lol, you can still see the odd wisp of white!

The base card is orange & I matted the DP, another freebie from
the set by Michelle Stone,& the image onto black paper.

I lightly decorated the inside too!
I love doing this as I feel it gives the card balance & looks
a bit more exciting than a plain old insert!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Not One But Two!

Good Morning Bloggers!
I'm  a very lucky lady!
I was given not just one but two blog awards yesterday from the lovely

Thank you very much Rachel, - I'm honoured to receive them both!

Both of these awards come with some rules:
  1. I need to publicly thank the people who gave them to me.
  2. I am to share some information about myself
  3. I have to nominate some of my favorite blogs
  4. I am to comment on their blogs to let them know I’ve awarded them

Thank's again Rachel, I'm honored & delighted that you chose me!

The One Lovely Blog award asks me to share 7 facts about myself while the
Sunshine Award has some specific questions for me to answer.
The Sunshine Award questions will effectively cover the 7 facts about me.

  • Favourite color: Purple
  • Favourite animal: Cats, of all sizes
  • Favourite number: 7
  • Favourite drink: Hmmm that's tough one! I guess it would be cider!
  • Facebook or Twitter: FB although I do tweet too!
  • Good book or good movie: A good book on holiday but a good movie on a cosy night in!
  • Giving or getting gifts: Has to be giving! I love to see peoples faces when you give them a well chosen gift! That's not to say I don't like getting gifts too!
  • My passion: Crafting(keeps me sane), My Family (Drive me insane) Holidays(for when I need to get away from it all!)
  • Favourite day: Friday (the promise of the weekend ahead!)
  • Favourite flower: Can't say I have a favourite but I love to see daffodils as they herald the start of spring!

I now have to nominate 3 people to get these awards. I always find this difficult as there are so many fantastic bloggers out there!
Here goes anyway!

a local dim sum restaurant it was yummy!
Made even tastier as they always send us a money off voucher to use!

The colours were very difficult to capture so I apologise for that!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for the design.

The image I have used was a freebie from

I coloured her up with a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers
& inked the edges then added a few little
Papermania self adhesive gems

crafty bits in but  I haven't seen any for ages!
