Vintage/Shabby Chic & Not For A Dude!!!

Good Evening All,

I have a ladies card to share with you today!

I made it a little while ago, but I couldn't post it at the time as the 

recipient hadn't received it yet!

It was made for someone associated with a 

Theatre Group Costume Department

Hence the Shabby Chic Theme!

.

The image I've used is one of the Dress Form Trio images from 

Deborah Moore at The Crafty Pad Designs.

It's so versatile & suitable for many occasions!

The sentiment was created in my graphics program.

The base card was a brown 5x5 square card blank.

I added a matt of Cored'inations card which I tore around the edges

& rubbed with some Distress ink in Antique Linen.

Next I added a page from a very old book of 

"The Works Of Shakespeare" 

(I checked it's not valuable before I started to tear out the pages!)

This page is from The Taming Of The Shrew!

It was also subjected to the distress ink treatment after 

being crumpled then flattened out again!

I added a little piece of lace edging which was also distressed with ink.

The flower is one of a big package I received from Lee aka Crafty Loops

a while back! Her flowers are absolutely fantastic!

You'll see them popping up on my projects from time to time!

Just under the flower is a little metal measuring tape charm

I also added a pair of scissors with a tiny safety pin & a couple 

of buttons just to finish the card off!

Good Morning all! Happy Sunday!!!

Ohh Sunday!!!  That means time for the new challenge at
The Crafty Pad

The theme for this weeks challenge is a "Trio Of Colours"

Here's my little DT card

The image the DT were given to play with this week is 

Oliver Fishing!

Oliver is available at The Crafty Pad Designs Store,

Coloured or  Uncoloured.

I have used the uncoloured version & coloured him up with my promarkers!

I made my own Design Papers using tiles from the Woodsy Clip Art Collection

at Scrapbookingmad. I was really pleased with them!

I have used the uncoloured version of Oliver 

& coloured him up with my promarkers!

I added a sun using Pan Pastels. I also added a fish & float which 

I cut from my DP & layerd up to give some dimension.

I added some bakers twine & a couple of buttons from my stash!

The big red one is a vintage button from a box I was lucky enough to be given!

I gave the sentiment ticket, also from The Crafty Pad Designs,

some distress ink treatment!

That's Not A Card!

Good Morning all!

It's Wednesday & it's time for a new challenge at Dude Time Doodles!

I just couldn't be bothered to make a card this week!!!

lol

Actually, I needed a bottle gift bag  & when I took one out of the cupboard,

I thought it looked sooooo bare, I wanted to do something about it!

So here it is!

The Challenge at Dude Time Doodles this week is an 

Inspirational Challenge!

Here's the photograph!

As you can see we'd like you to use the photo/colour for your inspiration

& Use Die Cuts, Punches or Both!

I used both!

Before I forget, just to make it a bit more interesting for you,

Stamp By Step

I used a piece of patterned paper which has been hanging about in 

my stash forever! I'm trying to use some stuff up so I can get more!

It's a digital paper but I'm not sure where from!

I cut the A4 sheet in half, vertically & then cut a strip off to 

make it a better length. I rounded the corners with a punch,

The image I have used is

We With You A Merry Chrithmus

Such a great image for any occasion I feel!

I made the sentiment in my graphics programme using a free font called

Pinch Drunk which you can get here!

Next, Iadded the image to the centre.

I then cut it out with a Nellie Snellen die & matted it on to a 

scalloped circle which was cut out with a nestie!

I forgot to say I coloured the image with my trusty promarkers.

Look how dirty that water is!!!

To mimic the bubbles I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on 

some white card stock. I rounded the corners with my punch 

then added some buttons.

I actually used my hot glue gun to stick down the buttons!

Lol

I've only had it since August last year but this is the first time 

I've had a chance to play with it!

I have to say it's my new favourite tool!!

I added a little square of the embossed card stock & a button

 to the label on the bag!

The buttons are recycled! 

A friend of mine did a favour for a neighbour of hers &

 in return the neighbour handed in a huge box of buttons, 

some are new & some have been taken off of garments.

My friend was unsure what to do with them & brought them to me!

Yay!!!

If anyone would like some buttons, just pop in & collect them!!!

I'm forever Blowing Bubbles!

Good Morning all!

It's Sunday & time for the latest challenge at
The Crafty Pad!

This week's theme for,
Challenge #157 is The Letter B 

We'd like to see things beginning with B on your Project!
There's lots to chose from!

Here's my card

The ladies of the DT were given Lulu Blowing Bubbles to play with this week!

She's such a litttle darling & as soon as I saw her I began to sing the old song

 "I'm forever Blowing Bubbles"

That's where the inspiration for my card came from!

I used a Basic 5"x 5" square card blank for the base of my card.

I decided to use a patriotic colour scheme Red White & Blue

I coloured the image up with Promarkers &

gave Lulu Blonde hair, a Blue Dress & highlighted the Bubbles with

 a bit of bling in the form of Glamour Dust!

The Blowing Bubbles sentiment was inspired by the song & I 

added  some bling in the form of Red White & Blue gems!

The Buttterfly  Border had some added bling too!

I also scattered a few bows around!

I wanted to add a little charm to this card & what better than

a little bicycle! The little beauty has to get about somehow!

 The very British Union Jack Design Paper is my latest purchase 

from Southfields, sorry, I can't recall the name of the pack right now!

Scraps!

Hi all, 

I hope your Friday has been good!

I have to say it's my favourite day of the week, all the promise of the weekend ahead!

I just wanted to share this little CAS card with you

It was made using the scraps from another card I made 

which I will share with you in a bit!

The base card is an ivory linen textured A6 card blank.

I made the sentiment on my PC & printed on to some core'dinations 

card stock using Cutie Pop font which you can find free here.

I cut it out with an oval nestie, then I cut out a scalloped oval matt of brown card 

& some punched leaves.

The flower was recycled from another project & had 

been layered with a little glittered brad as the centre.

I hope you like it!

Happy Friday!

Just a quick share with you today!

Last year  joined a group called

  Link Up for Pink

What a hoot we all had!

There's no prize for guessing what it's about but just in case you're not sure, 

it's about

 Raising Awareness of Breast Cancer.

I'm sure many of your lives have been touched by breast cancer in one way 

or another& I'm sure raising awareness 

can only be a good thing

Now this little group has moved home & are now resident in the Crafter's Cafe.

They are trying to grow the group & are offering up some

super sweet candy to entice you in!

I do love Wednesday's, not only is it half way through the week 

but it's challenge time at Dude Time Doodles!

Woo Hoo it's that time of the month again!

Time for the Freebie, Win a GDT Spot For a Month  

This weeks image, Zeke Zoro has already been in the store 

but for this week only you can grab him for free & bring him to life!

Here's my card!

 As I was making it up I kept humming the tune from The Mask Of Zorro,

"I want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You". I love that song, sooo romantic!

I loved the movie too!

I used the Simple Sketch from Midnight Madness 

for the layout of my card.!

The papers are new, a fab bargain from Hobbycraft.

Greatly reduced because the front cover was torn!

They are Hopscotch from K & Co.

I also added some Card Candi!

Zeke has been coloured up with Promarkers!

He's one handsome Dude with the most piercing 

blue eyes behind that mask! 

I distressed the edges & rounded with a corner punch!

I decorated the inside of the card with the same design & papers!

It's A Girl!

Morning all!

I have a card to share!

I was asked to make a card for a new baby!

I couldn't blog about it before as the person it was

 intended for may have seen it!

The image is from Pink Gem Designs

She's so yummy you could just eat her!!!

The layout for my card was a sketch

from My Time Made Easy

The challenge is now closed but I thought I'd share the sketch anyway!

The papers I used are from Lidl!

They get some fab craft stuff in occasionally!

I coloured up the image with promarkers & added some 

Anita's 3D Glaze to the bubbles!

I distressed all my edges with a pair of scissors & an ink pad!

The sentiment was made on my PC.

Embellishment wise, I added some brads, ribbon bows,

& layered Papermania flowers with brads at the centre.

Finally, a few little buttons from my stash!
