Father's Day!

Just had to share my latest card with you! 

It's for my lovely Dad for Father's Day!

I used Gina Giraffe which was a freebie from Digi's With Attitude! this month!

I do so enjoy colouring up these little digi's!

My card it very simple but I like it &  hope you do too!

The image was coloured with promarkers & then I edged with a promarker after trimming to shape!

I used a sheet of coloured card, scored it at A4 half fold & made it a square as the base for my easel card! 

I dry embossed a line down either side of the front, where the image was going to be.

I did the same with a couple of lines across the bottom at the front.

I made the topper by using a piece of the same coloured card for the easel section then matted a layer of tissue & a couple of tissue squares, then topped with the image.

 I added a computer generated sentiment to the front too! 

The stop is again the card, tissue & a computed generated sentiment. I used foam tape to attach the sentiments for dimension. 

I finally added a ruffle of ribbon!

Look At The Size Of That!

Hi all, I trust everyone is well & enjoying the start of summer! lol I read somewhere it's to begin in July here!

I ain't holding my breath!
I wasn't referring to the lady in the picture, when I decided on my title! lol

My card is huge!

I was asked to do a card for a girl at work who's going off on maternity leave & it needs to be signed by soooo many people so I had to make it a good size! 

I had some A4 card blanks in my stash but had never been brave enough to make them up!

The digi is from goodness knows where? I've had this set for such a long time (pre blogging days!) on my PHD & It's moved around folders time & time again. The image was pre-coloured. I used background tiles from the same set to create my own Design Paper in my graphics programme!

I used this sketch 

from Card Positioning Systems  

as the basis for my card design.

The greeting/sentiment is computer generated. The font I used is Sunshine Poppy which you can download free from here!
It's one of my favourite  fonts at the moment, it's soo useful!

I added some punched leaves & some roses just to give a bit of detail.

I'm a Bad Girl!

Hi All, here I am with my DT card for My Grafico this week! 

I'm a day late & I must apologise but family duties took precedence this weekend & I just ran out of time!

On with the show!

This week the DT were given the Whimsy Birds Brushes Set from Lil Ellaboudy Design to work with.

I coloured my image with promarkers & cut out with a nestie, leaving the tail outside the circle.

I knew I wanted to use feathers on this whimsical, magical,project but the ones I wanted to use were quite bright so I had to make the rest of the project fit the bill!

I looked at Feline Playful for a sketch to follow & opted for this one as I thought it would suit my image!

Silly me forgot to check it out before I went ahead & I discovered afterwards that it's not for the current challenge! The Sketch is from I {Heart} To Stamp & it does actually say May on it! lol!

Oh well, it's still a fab sketch & I like the result I achieved with it! So thank you!

I used an A5 card blank as the base for my card!

The DP I used is from Bearly Mine Designs & I so wanted to use it as I've had it printed off & ready to go for ages!

I matted it onto some lightweight card.

Instead of ribbon, I used a strip of organza down the middle, I got it from a  local pound shop & I knew it would come in handy for something one day!

I printed out the sentiment on the computer. The font I used is called Sunshine Poppy & you can download it for free here  I matted it onto the DP & the card thenI mounted it using foam tape for a bit of dimension as I did the image!

The feathers were added using pinflair glue as were the buttons!

I'm not sure what's happening with the My Grafico Challenge this month, yet. As it doesn't appear to have gone live.

I made a spring card!

We the ladies of the DT were asked to use the oh so cute Roshell Ducky & Eggbert image from

The Crafty Pad designs

As soon as I saw this image, I knew what colours I wanted to use! 

Yellow & orange just spell out summer to me & the daisies on this image did just the same!

The base card was made using a sheet of A4 paper which I folded in half & then trimmed to a square.

The DP I used is Papermania & it's matted onto orange lightweight card then attached to the card base.

I then added strips of dotty ribbon to the diamond section before adding the image which was coloured using

Promarkers & the cut out with a square Nestie on the diagonal,

I then added dotty buttons to the corners of the image.

Before adding the DP strip to the bottom of the card I wrapped some ribbon around it.

The sentiment I used Daisy Chain Days Of Summer is from The Crafty Pad Designs too! 

I cut that out with an inverted scalloped circle then matted onto a scalloped circle.

I added some dotty buttons on top of the ribbon.

I finished the project of with a tailored bow. 

It's the first time I've made on of these & I think it looks quite smart!

The Glitter Fairy Has Candy!

Evening all I hope you had a lovely Saturday & are enjoying the weekend!
Today was our local Gala Day but it rained all day & I'm advised it was one man & his dog attending!
I saw the parade when they were gathering & they looked a bit wet & weary even that early on!

My hubby & I decided to go for a lovely lunch out instead!
