A Crafty Tip For Top Tip Tuesday

Top Tip Tuesday has launched with its fab first 'top tip' today on how to make
flowers from paper doily's. They have also challenged us to share a top tip with you!
As I have previously posted my favourite 'bits of ribbon from your clothes' tip for you
I thought I'd share another one which was given to me by my Mum.
When using chalks on a project, they are prone to smudging or rubbing off.
To avoid this, just spritz over the finished project with a cheap non scented hairspray.
This will fix the chalks ensuring they stay put.
Hope you find it useful!

  1. Great tip Dawn :)
I also LOVE the little ribbons from clothes...and buttons...and beads...and even cut up pieces of denim from those jeans that keep shrinking!

Thanks for sharing your tip and joining in with our first Top Tip Tuesday. Good luck :)

  2. Now this is also a very helpful tip, I hate when I wipe my sleeve or hand by accident and make a smudge before I even finish a project. Thanks so much for sharing with us this week at Top Tip Tuesday.

  3. Hi Dawn you will have to tell me about these flower doilys honest truth I brought some yesterday because I'd seen some one use them and for the life of me can't remember what they did all I can remember is they used them for backing a topper but then I do have a memory like a sieve
take care and now I've found you we can swap tips
