Happy Halloween!

Good morning all,
So sorry I haven't been around much!
With a mixture of no internet/slow internet & a yukky cold,
I either haven't been able to get around your blogs or I've been too frustrated trying!
Anyhoo, enough moaning for one day! Lol!
Today sees the start of a new week & the new challenge over at Eureka Stamps!
This week, the theme is
Here's my card

I've used the cute digi 3901 Witch &  the great sentiment
My card is quite simple, I did think about making it a bit more fancy but
I decided to let the elements speak for themselves.
I coloured the image with ym promarkers then cut out with a spellbinders die.
I added a bit of distress inks to the image & the sentiment.
The paper was from Lidl, I love those papers.
The button is from my stash & the hessian/burlap is from the £1 shop.
I added a little raffia bow behind the button.
The sentiment panels were popped up on a little foam tape.

I added a little bit of decoration to the inside of the card too!
I used the same paper, added a white panel to write on & fussy cut the pumkpkins
& ghost from another paper. The Boo is cut from the paper too!

Another quick look at my card from the side.
I hope you like &it & I hope you can play in the
Halloween challenge over at Eureka Stamps this week!
I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Creative Corner - 3 embellishments (burlap, button, raffia bow)
Pattie's Creations - Fall/Halloween Image

Happy Hump Day!

A friend at work has recently become gran & this was a little something
I made for her grandson.
I tried not to make it too babyish so it could be displayed for longer
I aplogise for the photo, it's not the best  but I'm sure you get the general idea.
The frame is from Ikea & the buttons are from my stash.
The background is Kraft cardstock from my stash.
I got the little mdf shapes at the Ross Papercraft Show in Edinburgh recently.
The Scrabble type letters are by Papermania.
This is my first try at making a button monogram. It was fun to do so I think

What's New Pussycat?

Good Morning all, where did the weekend go?
I can't believe it's Monday already!
It's time for the new challenge over at Eureka Stamps!

It just doesn't get any easier than that does it?
We're also having a Design Team call, check out the details here.
It's open to all levels of crafters & you don't need any previous DT experience!
So, on to my card!

I've used the super cute image Digi 409 - Checkerboard Cat
to make my Black & White Card.
I had the old Tom Jones song What's New Pussycat going around
in my head the whole time I was making his card!
I shaded the image slightly with a grey promarker to give it a little depth.
I added a tiny little heart button from my stash, over the little heart on the image
The spotty paper is from Papermania.
The lace is from my sash & the faux buttons were done with an embosslit!
The image & sentiment were cut out with Spellbinders dies
I distresses the edges of the paper, image & sentiment panel with a pair of serrated scissors

I kept this card fairly flat for posting but I feel I managed to give
the impression of depth with the matting & layering.
Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope we'll see you in the challenge,

Grease Is The Word!

Good morning all!
The weekend is nearly here...... hurrah!
I have another card to share with you today!

It's another fun Anniversary card from the La Pashe
"Wrinklies At The Movies"
You've probably guessed the movie they're at already but if not, it's
Grease! It's brilliant isn't it!

The card is an 8"x8" base.
The patterned paper is from La Pashe too.
I matted it on to some black card & added some Papermania black spotty brads to the corners.
I then made a smaller panel to which I added some black lace & some smaller silver brads.
(I've had the brads in my stash forever)
I then matted & layered the decoupaged image on to some
red & black cardstock before adding to the card at an angle.

The sentiment was matted on to some black card & mounted on foam
tape at one end & DST on the other to allow it to be curved.
Inside the card, I added a mat of black card, to keep everything stable.
I also added a red diecut heart & a smaller white one on which to write a message.
Thanks for popping in, I do love a little visit!
Hope you like my card!

The Sheik

Good morning all!
The card I have to share with you today is the last of the samples I made for
the launch of the La Pashe
Wrinklies at the Movies CD Rom the other week!

The movie is The Sheik!
The card is an 8"x8" base.
The paper is from the CD also.
I cut out the decoupage & layered up using pinflair glue
The matted on to some white card stock
I felt I had to give them a little privacy, so I added some sheer fabric
drapes to my simple card design. I embellished with a few gems here & there,
a couple of little ribbon tie backs and that was pretty much that!
The designs are so great, they really just stand alone & you don't need much
in the way of fancy equipment to make great cards!
I took the photo then realised that a little of the frayed fabric edge had escaped as I
stuck it down. I used a heat source to seal the edge & stop it fraying any further.
Thanks for stopping by, I do hope you like my card.
I'd like to enter it in a few little challenges:
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes with a twist of Bright & Colourful

Football Crazy!

Good Morning everyone!
It's Monday once again & time for this weeks challenge over at
Eureka Stamps, where the theme is

The cute little image I have used is
(It gets a bit confusing, as we call Soccer football in the UK! Lol)

I used a 6"x6" square base in grass green.
The papers are by Papermania & I've had them forever.
I coloured the image with my promarkers, then cut out
with an X-cut square die.
I inked around the edges with a Colour Q
liquid chalk ink pad, while the image was still in the die.
The sentiment was printed, trimmed & then inked.
The photo corners are from a Sports themed scrapbooking set
that I found in a bargain bin at a craft show.
 I do love a bargain, don't you?
The die cut trophy is from a blog candy that I won years ago.
The little die cut fishtail was in my scrapbox,.

New Home

Good Morning all!
It's almost the weekend, do you have plans?
There are a few things going on around here, so not sure quite
how things will pan out!
Here's the card I have to share with you today!

A friend has just moved in to a new home.
He's back to the single life, so I thought this fun image was apt!
It's from a Kanban diecut topper & sentiment set, called
So Macho- Funny Business.
it's been around in my stash for a while, just waiting for the right moment!
In fact everything on this card has been in my stash for quite a while!
I used an A6 silver grey card base & embossed with a chevron folder.
The dotty tape is from papermania,
I used silver peel off's for the sentiment to tie in with the silver foiling
around the image. I also added a little silver key charm.
I kept this card flat so it could easily be posted.
That's about it really.
I know a lot of people find making cards for men quite daunting
but I find if you keep things fairly simple & add a smile, it seems to do the trick.
Thanks so much for popping intoday!
Have a great weekend!
