Winter Blues

Good Morning Bloggers!
A second card from me & it's not even breakfast time yet! Lol!
This is my post for The Crafting Cafe if you'd like to see my
post for Just Inklined, please scroll down.
The theme over at The Crafting Cafe this month is
I have used an image from our sponsor is LEJ Designs.
She's called Unhappy Angel.
I can understand why she's not so happy & feeling a little blue, she
only gets out once a year & she's stuck atop the Christmas tree!
I'll leave the rest to your imagination!
At least she's warm & cosy indoors though, especially with all those lights!

Quite a simple card. I coloured the image with a mix of Flexmarkers
& Promarkers, trying to use as many different blues as possible.
I then added some Glossy Accents to the lights & her eyes!
I have to say here eyes look a little odd in the photo as the
light is shining from above! I did intend to take my card to work so
I could get some daylight photo's at lunchtime but silly me forgot!
I had to use my lamp which isn't that great!
Santa if you're listening???? lol

I added some twine, a couple of little jingly bells & some ribbon.
The glittery reindeer is punched out with my latest purchase!
Cute isn't it!
I forgot to mention the little de-bossed Christmas Tree border
& the little sentiment banner from my stash.

Here's the inside of the card!
Thanks for popping in, I hope you can play in our challenge!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Safe Hands

Good morning all,
I hope your week is going well!
It's Thursday & time for a Just Inklined card.
Here's what I have to share with you!

A CAS sympathy card.
I was in two minds whether to share this one or not but as many of
it find this type of card difficult to make & I think it's important that
we do make them, I decided I would.
The image could be used for many other occasions but I felt it perfect
in this instance. Not much to say about this one really.
The image & sentiment were printed onto a single sheet of card.

I coloured the image with Fexmarkers

I added a matt of back card & some black ribbon.
I found some lovely words on the internet so
I put them inside.
Thanks for looking, I hope you like my card.
I won't enter it into any challenges due to the type of card it is.

Go Girl Cheerleader

Good evening bloggers,
Here's a little card I made for a friend who is going through a bit of a tough time!

The image I have used is one that I've had for a long time.
She's called Cheerleader Tween & was from a company called
Digi's With Attitude. Sadly they are  no longer in business.
It took me ages sifting through things to find her! lol

I coloured her using a mix of promarkers & flexmarkers.
Cut out with a nestie & inked with Spun Sugar Distress Ink
whilst still in the die. I die cut the sentiment too!
The papers are from Papermania.

Some butterflies & lots of twine to embellish et voila!
Thanks for popping in!
I'd like to enter a few challenges with this one!

Christmas Candy

Good Morning bloggers!
Hope you are all looking forward to the weekend!
The card I have to share with you today was made using the
"Christmas Candy" decoupage sheet & design papers from

It's  a centre stepper card!
The card blank is by La Pashe too!
All you need to do is fold along the pre scored lines & it's ready to embellish
however you choose! Anyhoo, on to my card!

I cut out the decoupage then layered it up using pinflair glue.
I added some glossy accents, a little glass heart & some ribbon
(which was up-cycled from a top my friend bought!)
I also added some fluffy fibres to the Santa Hat.
I love the Christmas Stocking DP & thought it went so well with the
Christmas Candy as in true Christmas tradition,
you're sure to find some candy in your stocking!

Here's a little side view to let you see the dimension!
Thanks for popping by, I hope you like it!

Merry Christmas

Good Morning Crafters!
I do hope you're all well!
Another week is nearly over & Christmas isfast approaching!
That said, I wanted to share this little card with you today!

It's a little gate-fold card & the image I have used is
I've used this image lots of times as I just love that cheery couple!
Hop on over to Just Inklined & check out all the fabby Christmas images.
There lots of new ones as well as all the old favourites!

Here's a closer look at the lovely couple! All coloured up with
my usual mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers.
The papers are Papermania "Noel" from last year.
I still have lots to use up!

I decorated the inside of the card too, I love doing this.

Another little side view!
The little glitter embellishments are foam stickers that I picked up from a bargain bin
in Tesco at the start of this year or was it last??? They're not as sticky as
they once were, but that's easily remedied!
This card is flat enough to be sent in the post using a normal letter stamp.

Thanks for popping in, hope you liked what you saw!

A Stitch In Time

Good morning lovely bloggers!
It's time for another challenge over at
Crafting For All Seasons. where the theme this time is
Here's my card!

This is a really quick & simple CAS Christmas card.
All the items I have used are from my stash & most of them have been
there since at least last year! It always feels good to use up stash!
Not much to tell you about this one, but the base is Kraft card-stock,
I punched some holes along the top & bottom then did a row of
backstitch using a needle & some cotton floss.
The Merry Christmas is a peel off, it's slightly glittery but you can't really see that!

Our sponsor this time is The Paper Shelter

Bird House

Good morning all!
How are you on this fine morning?
All is well here & as the cat is out of the bag, I feel I can
share this little project with you all!

It's a little Topiary Bird House with a little treat box/planter underneath!
Read on to find out more about it!

Over at La Pashe Towers, our lovely Jak Heath has been
working away to bring us all something very special!
La Pashe has teamed up with Adele Rossol from Creations by AR
and have created a CD which contains no less than 30 of her 3D templates.
The templates come in SVG and PDF format & there are full, easy to follow,
step by step instructions for each one!
So, it doesn't matter if you have a cutting machine or cut by hand,
you'll be able to create any one of these little beauties!
The first of these CDs is
Spring & Summer

So, if you're bored doing Christmas already, you can get your teeth into
a little something different!

Here's the little birdhouse with out the base!
I used some designer paper from a Papermania Capsule Collection paper pad
 to construct this little project.
I hand cut all the sections & assembled then added some little roses
which I cut from some edging trim & a bit of leaf  trim.
I have to confess that when I was trying to take my photos,
there was a moment of horror when the wind picked up & blew
my little birdhouse down the stairs & right out into the middle of the road!
I thought all was lost but when I retrieved it, it was intact with the
exception of a couple of dirty marks on it.

Here's the planter box & the birdhouse.
I added some of the rose edging to the bottom of the planter& some
lace trim to the top. There's room in the little planter section
for a little treat or gift for someone special.
I have it on great authority that the CD Roms will be on sale at
the NEC Hobbycrats Show on Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday,
if you're lucky enough to be going!
If not, they will be available online at LaPashe in a week or too.

The cost of the CD will be £19.99! Great value, I'm sure you'll agree.
Thanks for popping by today!

I'm off to look for a couple of challenges to enter this project in.

Just Inklined To Hop - Favourite Colour Combo

Good Morning all & welcome to the November Just Inklined Hop!

The hop this month is hosted by our oh so talented Joyce who has chosen the theme
"Favourite Colour Combo"
If you're already hopping, you'll have landed from  the lovely Karen J's blog,
where I'm sure there was something wonderful to see!
Now, on to my little card

A not so little 8"x8" 75th Birthday card in pinks purples & blues!
I used the awesome "wrinklies" image Betty Bloomer!
She's such a hoot, don't you think? Just adorable!
I could hear the strains of Knees Up Mother Brown all the time I was
working with her! If you don't know the song check this out!

If you're in a hurry to hop on,
your next stop is our one & only, awesome Tammy!
Don't forget to leave a little love at each stop as you could win a spot prize.
You just never know who the mystery host is!
If you want to know a bit more about my card, read on!

I coloured up the image with a mix of flex & promarkers
I cut the image out with a square die & inked the edges before removing.
The Knees Up sentiment was done on the pc then die cut & inked too.

The 75 was cut using my Cricut then embossed in a Cuttlebug Swirls folder.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from LOTV. I cut that with a nestie then
matted on to a scalloped circle.

I used a sketch I found on a challenge blog for the layout but
I can't remember where.
The papers are from Lidl, they are clear embossed & glittered with lots of
lovely texture to them & the ribbon is up-cycled from a friends top.
A few gems & some broderie anglaise from my stash finish it off.
The inside of the card is decorated in a similar fashion but in typical fashion,
I wrote it out before I remembered to get my photos!
Now if you're hopping on, don't forget to leave a little love then carry on over
to visit Tammy! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy hopping!

Zei Prom

Good Morning all!
Happy Halloween!
I hope you are all well on this beautiful Thursday morning!
The weather here is a bit wet & windy but hey ho, we can't complain!
Anyhoo, it's time for me to share my card!

This is an 8x8in card base.
The layout I used was based on a sketch I spotted on one a challenge blog.
Sadly I can't enter their challenge with it as they require you to use one
of their own images. That said, I do love the layout!
The image I have used is Zei Prom from Just Inklined.
She's just so very cute!

Here's a closer look!
I can see her being used for all sort of occasions!
I coloured her up with Promarkers.
The edges were distressed using a pair of serrated scissors.
The border punch I used is Papermania!

The papers are by Craftwork Cards, as are the flowers which were die cuts.
I shaped & layered them for some dimension then added
some ribbon & a little Card Candi centre. Don't you just love that zebra print!
As you can see in this photo, I added a strip of ribbon topped
with some black Jaipur lace from my stash! I also dotted some
Card Candi around.

I've added this photo to show you the dimension on the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my card!
