A New Truck For My Wife

Good evening lovely bloggers!

Here's a card I made for my nieces husband's Birthday.

He like his vehicles & when I saw this image I thought of him!

My card is a 6"x6" square using smooth white card stock from

Southfield Stationers The images is also printed on to card stock from Southfields

The papers are from the First Edition Hideaway Stack.

The green paper used for matting is from Lidl

I used the December Stella Says Sketch from Bugaboo

for my card layout.

Sadly I have missed the challenge as I thought it was monthy & not

every 2 weeks!*sob* *sob*

The image I have used is Gus Tidbits New Truck & the sentiment came with it!

I coloured it up with Promarkers from Letraset

As you can see I distressed all the edges using a pair of scissors.

The sentiment ticket was a freebie from Caz's blog

The buttons were from a Papermania Capsule Collection

I decorated the inside of the card too.

You can just about see it if you peek round the corner! lol

Thanks for dropping in!

My card was made with the following challenges in mind as

Dear Friends

Good Morning, & a happy Sunday to you all!

It's with a sad heart & a tear in my eye that I tell you today is my last

DT card for The Crafty Pad.

The challenge blog & The Crafty Pad Designs shop will both be

closing after this challenge is over but for now, lets celebrate the  new challenge

#201 Friendship/Keep In Touch/Goodbye

Here's my little creation

The image I have used is Snowmen from The Crafty Pad Designs.

I love this image but I've never actually used it up until now.

I thought it was just perfect for this challenge theme.

I went for a CAS style too as on this occasion I felt less is more!

I printed the image & sentiment directly on to a DL card base,

then printed the image a second time & fussy cut out the Snowmen

I coloured the images with my Promarkers then layered them using some

Pinflair glue for dimension. I added a line of glitter along the snowline

The sentiment is one I've used forever & I think it's very true!

I have made many dear friends in blog land, especially

the ladies I have met at The Crafty Pad they have been  wonderful

teamies & we've all had great fun! This card is dedicated to them &

to all of you, my lovely blogging friends!

I took a side view to try to show you the dimension!

I hope you can join in the challenge this week!

We'd love to see all your Friendship/Keep in touch creations!

We also hope to keep in touch with all the friends we've met

through The Crafty Pad Challenges!

Without your entries, it just wouldn't have been so much fun!

I must also say a thank you to all the sponsors, especially those who

supported my in my Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraising Challenge!

The last person I want to thank is Debbie the lovely boss without whom

there would have been no Crafty Pad Designs & none of the fun we've all had!

Don't forget that there is a 25% off sale until the shop closes on 6th Jan 2012

but, Debbie's images will still be available after then from

Card Making Downloads .

Just search for The Crafty Pad in the designers section.

Gingerbread Treats

Morning all!

Here's my latest GDT card for the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog!

The theme this week is Gingerbread Treats

The images used by the DT & GDT were kindly supplied by

the lovely sponsor Robyn's Fetish!

Here's my card!

I used the Gingerbread House image

I did plan a totally different card but hey ho, this is how it turned out!

I enjoy seeing where my stash takes me sometimes! lol

I used a scalloped square card base from Craftwork Cards

The papers I have used are from my last years stash & I have

no idea where they are from I'm sorry!!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then chalked around the outside

& in the background with Colourbox Q Fluid Chalks Ink Pads

The ribbon is from Lidl, it's actually meant for gift wrapping but great for crafting too!

The snowflake is cut with a Marianne Creatables Die

That was also from last year & I can't find my dies at the moment!

Here's a side view of my card!

The sentiment is a peel off, for some reason they seem to come

into their own at this time of year! I also added some buttons from my stash!

I hope you can join in the challenge at 2 Sisters this time!

Stop Press: I have been sorting my craft stuff & have
just now found my snowflake dies! Yay!!!
Ah well there's always next year! lol

Here's the card I made

The image I have used is called Christmas Pudding.

It does exactly as it says on the tin!

Coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers by Letraset the cut out with a nestie

the edges are inked with a Colourbox Cats Eye Chalk Inkpad.

The card base is a 6"x6" using cardstock from Southfield Stationers

The papers are Papermainia from last year & the ribbon was rescued from a card

I received last year. I matted everything onto some gold paper & card-stock.

I also added some Diamond Sparkles glitter to highlight.

A side view.

I used the Sketch from

Seems A Little Sketchy for my basic layout but I omitted the embellishments.

I decorated the inside of the card too.

A Christmas Recipe For You

Good Morning lovely bloggers!

Happy Sunday to you!

I hope you have a nice relaxing day planned with lots of crafting time!

Have you got your Christmas cards all done yet?

If like me you're nowhere near done yet, this weeks challenge

#200 at The Crafty Pad is just the one for you!

We have a Christmas Recipe for you this week!

Here's my card!

The DT were  given images from

Robyns Fetish

our lovely sponsor for this week!

I used There's Snow Place Like Home

I've been making sooooo many red green & gold

Christmas cards, I decided to go with non traditional colours.

I coloured up the image with Flexmarkers & added some

Diamond Sparkles glitter.

I used a Papermania Snowflake embossing folder

then matted everything on to some silver mirror card.

My three snowflakes were punched with a Woodware punch

& layered for some added dimension. I then added a pink

self adhesive pearl to the centre of each.

I layered my two ribbons one on top of the other & added

a bow using both. My sentiment is a Christmas Sentiment Ticket

from The Crafty Pad Designs where there is a 25% off sale at the moment.

Here's my card from the side!

Thanks for popping in!

Make sure you check out the other fab DT creations at

The Crafty Pad.

I hope to see your creations in the challenge & look forward to

visiting you blog!

Good Luck & Happy Crafting! xx

Snowflakes

Good morning bloggers!

Happy Saturday!

Here is my GDT card for  2 Sisters Challenge blog

where the theme this week is Snowflakes!

I had two cards in my head so I made them both! lol

Here's the first one!

I used an A6 card blank which is folded at the top!

I added some red vellum which I've had forever but don't seem to

use much although I do really  like it.

Next I added a snowflake embossed panel.

I think this was a Papermania embossing folder.

Before attaching it to the card I wrapped my snowflake

ribbon around it. The ribbon is from Lidl, they sometimes have

some great things for crafting! If you keep your eyes peeled!

I also used a peel off sentiment!

Sometimes you just have to!

A closer look at the embossed panel!

I added a snowflake which was cut with a Marianne Designs die.

Luckily it was in my box from last year as I can't find those dies!

Here's a side view to let you see that the vellum is loose at the

top & bottom & I gave it a bit of a curl, just because...

Here's the second card!

same colours, same size & shape of card & pretty much the came

ingredients but I've used a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I used red foil paper for matting on this card.

As you can see I dotted a couple of self adhesive gems about!

I did think about adding a bow but when I tied it it made the card too bulky

to be mailed in the UK using a normal stamp, (especially as I want to

include a Christmas letter) so I left it off!

Here again is a side view!

This weeks sponsor is

Inked Treasures

I hope you can join in the challenge.

I'm sure everyone will make a card with a snowflake somewhere

on it at this time of year!

It's Robin Week!

Morning blogland!

Happy Thursday to you!

It's time for my Just Inklined card!

Meet Rotten Robin he's available at Just Inklined for the  princely sum of 59p

I just couldn't resist adding the Bah Humbug! sentiment.

The font I've used is called Frosty & you can get it free here
If you look at the Just Inklined blog, you'll see lots of Robins this week!
Lol! We must have all been of the same mind!
My base was cut using a scalloped circle Grand Nestability then
folded in half. The paper is digital freebie (it's been printed out in my stash forever)
& I can't remember where it was from.
When I do I'll add a link!

I coloured him up with Promarkers, chalked around with red

& chalked the background with blue but it's hard to see!

I then cut him out with a circle nestie & matted on to a scalloped circle.

I added little silver punched snowflakes with a Papermania gem at the centre.

The ribbon was from Lidl they have some great crafty bits & pieces sometimes

I tied a bow & added a sliver bell from MeiFlower.

I trimmed the tiniest bit off the bottom at the back to stop the card

falling over to one side.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my card!

I'd like to enter this little chap in a few challenges as listed below.
