Rock on!

Good morning all!
Happy Sunday to you!
It's time once again for another challenge at
The Crafty Pad!
Yay!
This week, Challenge #148 is Festive Cheer!
We want to see your projects with Red Green & Gold or Silver!
Here's my card!

I made a little rocker card!
I used the Snowman Mug image from The Crafty Pad Designs!
He's such a cheeky wee chappy & he also happens to be
on special offer  for only 59p this week!!
The base card was made by cutting a circle using the x cut shape cutting system.
I then folded it in half to make the rocker section.
I cut a smaller circle from gold mirror card & trimmed it
to make a panel which I centred on the base section.
Next I added some gold & red self adhesive ribbon from Papermania.

I coloured the image with my trusty promarkers then added some
Woodware Fluffy stuff to the hat & the froth on top of the mug!
I fussy cut round the image & then added it to a matt of the gold card which was cut with a scalloped circle nestie. This was matted onto another circle which was cut with a Nellie Snellen die.

To finish the card I added a die cut greeting & a bow made from a selection of Funky Fibres!
Thanks so much for stopping by & don't forget to head on over to
the Challenge Blog for some more inspiration from the lovely & oh so talented DT ladies!
No excuses not to enter!
I'm sure at least one of your  Christmas cards must be made with the Traditional Colours Of Christmas!

Gobble Till You Wobble!!!

Happy Hump Day all!
It's all downhill from here! Yay!!!

It's time for our Inspirational Challenge over at
Here's your Inspiration!

You can take from the picture what you like & use it as your inspiration
to create a product for a Dude!
Here's my card!

I took the turkey, the shape of the turkey's tail feathers,
some of the colours & the lady!
The image I have used is Fanny Thanks by Marloony for Dude Time Doodles!
She's a real doll & has cooked up a treat for her man!
At least I think she's going to share it! lol!!!

As we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in UK I opted to make  a
Christmas card!
Turkey is generally the order of the day for Christmas dinner!
I made an easel card as I haven't made one for ages & was
having major withdrawl symptoms!
The base was cut using a Grand Nestabillities  Label die.
I then inked the edges using a cats's eye inkpad!
I added mats of red foil paper & green Christmas tree DP.
Not sure where the DP is from it's been in my stash for a while!

I paper pieced Fanny & finished colouring with Promarkers!
I then cut her out with a nestie & matted & layered with
textured red foil paper, then white card which
was also edged with an inkpad!
Not sure if you can make out the sentiment?

Here it is a bit closer, it says
"Condiments Of The Seasoning!"
The only embellishments I added are some die cut snowflakes which
I layered with foam tape!
I do hope you can come & play along in the Challenge!
To make it a little more interesting for you this week,
We have a Sponsor! Yay!!
We're kindly Sponsored by Graphicat Stamps!

As promised, I'm back with my entry for the Craftystash November Competition.
Here's a reminder of the layout template.

You can download it from here!
Here's my card.

I made up the picture in my graphics programme & used it to make a pyramage sheet
I layered it up using Pinflair glue.
The papers have all been in my stash for ages.
The lovely silver ribbon was bought from Create &Craft last year.

I'm guessing the sentiment was from Sentiments 4 You,
I cut it out with an inverted scallop nestie & added a little rose to the centre!

I'm Dreaming of a White Sunday!

Good Morning all!
It's Sunday & it's time for the new challenge at The Crafty Pad!
The theme for challenge #147 is
White On White!
The DT were given Snowman Couple image to work with this week!
Such a sweet little couple, I love their smiley little face!
This is my little card!

I've never done a White on White card before so this again was a challenge for me!
I now officially have the bug! lol
I used a white linen square card for the base!
I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders for the mats,
Swiss Dots & Snowflakes! I love both of these so much!
I added clear gems to the centre of the snowflakes & used
some ribbon to cover the join between the two mats.

I coloured the lovely little couple with a selection of Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pens &
Promarkers, then cut them out with a scalloped circle nestie.
I ran a Promarker around the outside of the circle & added some Diamond Sparkles.
I never seem to get the glitter to show up properly in photo's!
I matted the circle onto two panels which were cut out with a Marianne Creatable die,
To cover the join I added a double bow to either side!

The sentiment ticket is one of many from The Craft Pad Designs too!
I coloured in the Holly with the Sakura Gelly Roll pens!
Thanks for stopping by & I hope we'll see you over at
The Crafty Pad to join in the fun this week!
I'm sure you can all make at least one White on White card at this time of year!
To make it even more fun we are sponsored by our very own lovely

Fairy Nice!

Good Morning all!
Quickest blog post yet from me!
(Now edited to add more detail!)
I just have to enter this card in the Crafty Bloggers Network Challenge before I'm too late!
Pink Green & Purple is the theme!
My favourite colours!

The layout is the Craftystash Template for the November Competition.
I've made another card for that comp but I like the layout so I used it again!
The beautiful image is from Cardmadfairy
She was so easy to colour as the shading is all there already!
I mounted her onto silver mirri card.
I think I may add some Glamour Dust to her wings yet!
The sentiment is I think from Sentiments 4 You.
(Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
I coloured the outside edge with a promarker & added a
couple of self adhesive gems.

The flourishes were cut using two different Marrianne Creatable dies.
The flowers are mulberry paper & I curled them with an embossing tool then layered,
adding a brad centre!
The ribbon is from my stash.
I can't tell you where the floral paper is from as I received it as part of a candy!
It's lovely though isn't it!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like her!
Have a happy Saturday all!

I'll share my card with you when I get some decent pics at the weekend!

You've Been Snowballed!

Good Morning All & Happy Hump Day to you!
Hope everyone is well!
It's time for a new freebie challenge at Dude Time Doodles!
Here's my card!

The image is called Duck Snowball Warrior!
He's available for free from the Dude Time Doodles Challenge Blog
All you need to do is stop by the blog, collect the freebie & create something for a Dude!
The prize is a GDT spot for the month of November with the
Dude & Dudettes over at Dude Time Doodles!
Such a fun team of guy & gals to work with!
My card is a 5" x5" square.
The DP is from Papermania & the layout is from my imagination!

I coloured the image with Promarkers  & highlighted the snow, snowballs & the outline of  the
snowman with a Sakura Clear Star pen.
I love Sakura pens & they come into their own
around this time of year when glitter is the order of the day!

I made a rosette & added the computer generated sentiment to the front!
The text I've used is Frosty & you can download it for free from here!
The sentiment was cut out using a scalloped oval nestie & the edges were inked with an inkpad!

I added some ribbon which was threaded through some snowflake brads.
As I was trying to decide what embellies to add to this card, I emptied some buttons out of my jar.
The little heart button landed where it is now so I decided that was where it should be! lol!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card!
Hope to see you over at Dude Time Doodles!
I'm off to search out some challenges for my card!

Step We Gaily!

Here's a little wedding card I made for one of the ladies I work with!
As she is mature in years, like myself, I thought this bugaboo image was just perfect!
Luckily the lady in question has a sense of humour so I could get a way with it too!

I just love these guys!
I used a Craftworks Scalloped square card blank as the base for my card.
I opted for pink & blue as the colour scheme, I like the softness of the pastels!
I coloured the image with my trusty Promarkers, the cut it out with a scalloped square nestie!
I gave Gus & Stella's glasses a touch of Anita's 3D glaze treatment!
I cut the sentiment out with a scalloped circle nestie & inked round the edges of both with pink!
The blue paper is from Do Crafts & has been in my stash for ever!
One of those resources that never seems to run out no matter how much you use it!

I cut the flowers out using a daisy punch & layered them, adding a piece of
Craftworks Card Candi to the centre of each!
The flourishes were cut using a Mariannes Creatables Die
The stick pin was home made using beads from my stash & a pink padded heart!

I decorated the inside of the card to match!
I prefer doing this where possible, rather than adding a paper insert
as I find it gives better balance to the card!
I hope you like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Piece By Piece

Happy Sunday all!
I hope you're all having a great weekend!
Did you see lot's of fireworks last night? I hope you stayed safe!

It's time for a new challenge at The Crafty Pad!
This week the theme for Challenge #146 is Paper Piecing!
Now,I must say I have never tried this before &  I found it a bit of a challenge!
However, once I'd figured it out I had a whole lot of fun with it!
You can find a useful tutorial on Paper Piecing on The Crafty Pad blog here!
Here's my card!

The DT were given Sammy Scarecrow to work with this week!
He's such a cutie isn't he!!!
Reminds me of a few years back when we all dressed up
as characters from The Wizard of Oz! I was the Scarecrow!
We raised lots of money that year for Children in Need!
You can get him here for just  99p. A fantastic bargain!!!

Forgot to tell you who our sponsors are this week!
Yep, I said sponsors!!!!
We have a set of Grey Promarkers from Letraset

&
we have a Prize from Crafty Ribbons too!

For the design of my card,
I used the sketch from Midnight Madness #128

I used a sheet of brown textured cardstock to make my 5"x5" card base.
The papers I have used are all from my stash.
I distressed the edges of all the layers using a pair of scissors!

The image was mainly paper pieced,
the rest was coloured with Promarkers & the background chalked in.

The flowers & leaves were all punched from scraps of the papers I used.
I hope you like my little card!
Now hop on over to the challenge blog to see what lovely creations
the other ladies of the DT have come up with.
I hope you are inspired & have the time to come & play in our
I must apologise for the quality of my photos, I just can't get any in
daylight now as I'm at work all day!
I have asked Santa for a pop up tent though & I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
