Sympathy Card

Good Morning All,
The card I have to share with you today is one of those difficult ones to make.
Especially when it is a young person who has passed away.

I didn't want to go with sombre colours as I feel
a young persons life should be celebrated.
I'm sure we all feel differently about this but I like to think of
a young soul soaring, finally free of pain & suffering!
I went for a simple design, on an A6 tentfold card.
The CS is linen embossed, I like the texture.
I added matt of coloured CS & a panel which was embossed with
a Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder.

I found the quote on the internet. So apt as it's by
Robert Louis Stevenson who was from our very own Edinburgh.
Cut out with a nestie & inked with Spun Sugar DI
whilst still in the die. A few little pearls added at the corners.

A sheer ribbon bow to finish off.
Thanks for popping in.
I'd like to try this card in a couple of challenges:
Inky Chicks - Pretty In Pink
Amuing Challenges - Pearls & Gems
A Gem Of A Challenge - Pink & Gems
Creative Knockouts  -Texturise It

  4. Beautiful elegant card Dawn. I love the colour. I had to make one a few months ago and had to make it purple, as it was the persons favourite colour. It makes it so much more personal. Chris xx
