Good morning all you lovely bloggers!
Today I have a simple little card to share with you.
I made it to send to a friend just to say hello!
The image I have used is Molly Cat With Bird House
Molly & twitter are great friends!
The base of the card is a vertical A6 blank.
The image was coloured using a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers
The Design paper is from The Best Of British Collection
which came free with Crafts Beautiful magazine.
The inspiration for my colours came from
Do You Stack Up #80 Cool Colours

I added some little doodled birds just for a bit of added interest.
I think all the blues, pinks & greens give this card
a great summery feel to it!

I used a Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch to create the
scalloped borders & punched the same border on the paper insert.
Some of the edges were inked with a little inkpad.
The only other embellishment I added was a little
upcycled ribbon bow.
The ribbon was originally on a friends top to hold it on a hanger.

Dawn, this is just too precious! I love cats (as you know) and I adore birdhouses, so this one really gets to me. :-D How wonderful that you colored kitty with pink stripes! It reminds me that I sometimes tend to be far too literal and inside the box in my approach. Love the way you used the combo, but still have a primarily pink and white card. Amazing!
