Clearly Not a Promarker in sight!

Well, it's Sunday again & we all know what that means!!!
No silly billy, I'm not referring to the 'W' word tomorrow!
It's time for another challenge at The Crafty Pad! YAY!!!!!
This week we Challenge you to use something Clear on your project!

We have two sponsors this week

who are offering up a fab pack of 5 'Spring'colours Promarkers
to one Lucky winner!

Debbie, the lovely boss & owner of
 The Crafty Pad Designs,
is also giving the winner 3 lovely digis from her shop! Woo Hoo!

Here's my card!

Sorry this weeks pics aren't great but the light just wasn't right.
I did try a couple of times but as I had to get this card sent off
I just didn't have time to wait until the light was better!
The colours actually married up much better than they look in the photos!

The Design Team were given a sample of Letraset 'Safmat' to play with!
It's awesome stuff  which is so versatile& can be used in many different ways!
The possibilities are endless!
Rub ons's for cards, altered items, packaging, candle decoration etc etc etc!

So, how did I make my card?
I used a square brown textured card as my base, added a matt of
white pearlescent card & another matt of this lovely
brown floral paper which is from Papermania.
I decided to use this paper as it is almost identical to the fabric that my
tote bag is made of, which has been well admired by the recipient!

I printed the beautiful Butterflies & Verse set from The Crafty Pad Designs
onto an A5 sheet of the Safmat.
I simply cut out the verse in two sections & placed
one section at the top & one at the bottom of my card.

I cut out the butterflies & stuck them onto a piece of DP then cut out.
I love the effect of the Safmat on top of the DP, it gives a
kind of lustre to the paper.I added a bit of glamour dust to the edges of
their wings &  when the glue was dry,
I curled the wings a bit to give a bit of dimension!
I then layered up the butterflies using Letraset's 'Letratac'
( which we were also given a sample of to play with)
on the body section.
It's fantastic for these fiddly little bits, you get the
adhesive right where you want it & nowhere else!!
Silly me forgot to take a photo of the butterfly though didn't I! Doh!
As the butterfly was made using the same DP as is on the base card,
I cut out a little label using a nestie & used that as a matt to separate them.
I then attached the butterfly, body section only, using the Letratac!

The lovely Chocolate coloured ribbon is from a local haberdashery
& is threaded through a piece of the pearl card
which was cut & embossed using a
Marianne's Creatable Die

I finished off with a few little irridescent gems on
the butterfly's body & antennae!
 I hope you like it!
Thanks soo much for stopping by!
Have a beautiful Sunday!
