Feline Thankful Blog Party!

Hi everyone and welcome to our Feline Thankful Blog Party and Hop!!

We have organized this blog party to thank all of those who have joined us as
followers - 1800 of you and counting!!
We want to say "Thank You" to all of you who have been so supportive of this
wonderful blog that tracks over 500 challenges!
A very Special Thank You to Karen Howard, who started the blog just over a year ago and actually ran it solo for quite awhile. Now a team of 14 ladies make up the DT for Feline Playful, led by Shelley and we continue to add New Challenges almost daily including winners for those challenges,
DT calls, blog candy and more.

We have joined forces with a very long list of Fantastic Sponsors who have donated images, store credit/$ vouchers and Guest DT Spots to Party Winners.

There are 3 WAYS TO WIN:

1. JOIN THE BLOG HOP - Our blog hop starts September 21 at 9:00 am (GMT) - which just happens to be the International Day of Gratitude - and ends September 27 at 9:00 pm (GMT). Each DT member (we have both past and present DT members playing along) will be awarding prizes at the end of the week to random commentors on their blog. And commentors will also be entered into a GRAND PRIZE draw at the end of the week. The hop order will be as follows:
Please remember to follow the order of the hop so that you don't miss any of the DT members posts. If you get lost along the way, please return here or to FELINE PLAYFUL to find the hop order. Most of all, have fun and remember to keep coming back to FELINE PLAYFUL for all challenge listings, etc. each day.

2. FIND THE SECRET MESSAGE - Each DT member on the blog hop will share a letter on their blog. Once you have all the letters which form the secret message, e-mail your answer to felineplayful@gmail.com All correct answers will be entered into a draw for a GRAND PRIZE.

3. VISIT FELINE PLAYFUL - Enter your name using Mr Linky and you will be entered to win one of our DAILY PRIZES. You only need to enter once to be eligible to win all week long (but you do need to be a follower of FELINE PLAYFUL please). At the end of the week we will also be selecting at least 1 GRAND PRIZE winner.

Add your name to Mr Linky and check back daily to see if you're one of our lucky winners:

Now, onto my card & letter!
Hopefully you've arrived from Christi's Blog
Here's my little card!

It's a little foldback card, made using a download from Craftystash!
If you haven't visited before, stop over & see some of Debbie Lauders lovely designs.
I printed the card directly on to pearlised card, I thought this would complement the lovely soft colours!
I then cut it out using my craft knife & some very sharp decoupage scissors.
Next I lightly inked the edges with a pink ink pad then assembled
using pinflair glue to add dimension to the layers!

My Hero!

 Good morning all!
It's Wednesday! Happy Hump Day to you all!
By this afternoon we'll be on the downhill run to the weekend! Yay!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love
Friday & the promise of the weekend ahead!
Anyhoo back to business!
It's time for a new challenge over at Dude Time Doodles!

This weeks challenge, is an inspirational/colour challenge & the theme is
"Hero"
Look at all those fab heros in the photo! They all hang out in Dudeville
Awesome are they not!
So, who is your Hero?
Well, apart from my Dad (of course), my husband is my Hero!
Shhhh don't tell him he might get big headed! lol
It's our wedding anniversary soon, so I made this card for him!

It's a little double pocket tag card!
(It's a bit of a chuckle really as he is not a morning person at all & is
not worth abutton before he has his morning coffee poor soul!)
I've never made one of these card before & have always been in awe of them
but now I know how, they are oh so simple to do!
I used an A4 sheet of plain white cardstock for the base card.

I scored, cut & folded the card & then cut some design paper to fit.
(I can't think for the life of me where it's from right now but
I'll have a think & try to update later!)
Before sticking the card together, I did a bit of paper piercing
& added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.
I then stuck together & added some ribbon & button detail
as well as the sentiment which I made on the pc & cut out with a
Nellie Snellen frame it die then inked the edges with distress ink.
As you can see I added two tags, one before coffee & one after! lol

The tags have been kept simple! I cut them out using a sizzix tag die
& backed with a co-ordinating card stock.
I coloured the images with Promarkers.
( I left his legs quite pale deliberately! lol)
I added a few splodges around his head, inked the edges with distress ink
then added co-ordinating ribbon

This is the after image Henry Hero much more like it huh!
Such a handsome chap!

I may add a little gift card later but
I have added a little gift of a coffee bag for now!

Here is a closer look at the sentiment I created.
I hope you like my creation &
I especially hope you're inspired to join in the Hero/Colour challenge over at
If you need more inspiration, do check out the awesome makes from the other

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend?

Ooooh! Happy Sunday All!
This is a holiday weekend here in Edinburgh & as I worked on Saturday,
I'm going to make the most of my Monday off!
I might even have a little lie in!!!
As you know, every Sunday, it's time for the new challenge at
This weeks theme is Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend!
We want to see diamonds (well gems!lol) on your project!
Here's my card.

lol! I made a Diamond Top Card!
We are sponsored this week by the lovely Joanna Sheen

The prize on offer is a £10 voucher for her fabby online shop!

The team have used Belinda in Reflection this week.
I think you'll agree she's a little gem of an image!
I coloured her up with Promarkers then cut her out with a Nellie Snellen die.
I added a couple of diamonds to Belinda's hat & top  & did the same on her reflection

I added some punched leaves which I layered up then topped with a little flower
to which I added a little gem at the centre

The papers I have used are Papermania as are the gems.
The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 You & is coloured with  promarkers &
matted on to a diamond of the design paper
I mounted the sentiment diamond using foam squares &
then added more of the punched leaves  around it!

Ths picture shows the fold used to create the Diamond Top card.
looks tricky but it's so easy to do!
As I type up this post & look at the pics, I notice I forgot to put the diamonds
on the corners of the top section of my card! (Silly Billy!)
I was in such a rush to get halfway decent pics while it was dry!
I hope you can find time to join in this challenge it's easy peasy this week!
If you need more inspiration, you'll get shed loads from the other very talented ladies of
