Happy New Year!

Good morning all & A Happy New Year to you!
Firstly, I must apologise for being a bad blogger over the holidays & not
posting or commenting as much as I should have!
I've just been so tired & worn out, I needed a good rest!
I'l try to get round to your blogs soon I promise!
So, now that we're slowly getting back to normal, it's time for the first challenge of 2016
at Eureka Stamps where the theme this time is

Here's my card

I've made a little 6"x6" twisted easel card, using the lovely sentiment
Which was cut out with a Spellbinders oval die & matted onto
another Spellbinders, die cut, ornate oval.
The base card is green & the paisley type paper is
from the My Minds Eye, Best of Paisley pad.
I distressed the paper with my serrated scissors.
The flowers are from my stash & have been there forever!
I tend not to use flowers very often as I like to make cards which can be posted easily.
They just seemed to want to be on this card though!
The colours match better IRL.
Thanks for popping in. I hope you can play in this weeks challenge.
I'm sure you all have at least one birthday coming up soon!

I'd like to enter this card in a few little challenges:

Photo Inspiration

Good morning all, my second post today!
(If you're looking for my Just Inklined card, it's here!)
It's time to share the DT card I made for
Where the theme for this monh is
Nikki has found this awesome photo to inspire you all!

Sadly, we can't link back to the owner as it was found it via a copyright free image
search on the internet & when she tried to find it again she couldn't!
If it's your photo or you know who it belongs to do let us know & we'll link it back!

So, on to  my card

I made a little Twisted Easel card using elements from the fantastic CD
Carnival Of Colour
generously provided by this months sponsor for the DT to work with.

Here's another view of the card, just incase you're unfamiliar with the fold.
Basically, it's a square card, with one side folded over on the diagonal.

I matted two different toppers on to some cardstock & layered with some foam tape
for a bit of dimension. The printed sentiment is the stop for the easel section.
This was also popped up on some foam tape.
A few little red pearls & a two colour sheer ribbon bow
were the finishing touches.

A final side view to complete the picture!

Thanks for popping in. Don't forget to enter the challenge if
you haven't already, it would be great to see you there!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Toy Soldier Twisted Easel Card

Good Morning all!
I have a card to share with you today!
This is one for the boys, my great nephews to be exact!
I was just looking over the last of my Christmas cards & thinking I'm
definitely going to be more organised next year!
Lol Watch this space!

Once again, I have used Toy Soldier from the Christmas Box cd rom
by La Pashe. There's so much on there, you could have
Christmas sorted in no time!

Here's the soldier! Isn't he fab?

A little side view to let you see the fold.
The papers I've used are  by Papermania.
The greeting/stop was left over from another project.
I just couldn't resist adding a red satin ribbon bow to finish it off!
Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!

Just Inklined To Hop - Christmas

Good morning all & welcome to this month's
Our host this month is Karen L who has chosen Christmas as the theme!
If you're already hopping, you'll have arrived from the lovely Karen J's
blog! I bet she had something stunning to show you!
Without further ado, here is my card

I've made a twisted easel using Snowman Buddy he's just so adorable!
I think he'll feature on many of my cards this year!
Now, if you're anxious to hop on, your next stop is Tammy's blog.
Before you go, don't forget to leave a little blogger love at each stop,
you just never know where the spot prizes might be hidden!
If you want to know a little more about my card, read on!

Here's a closer look at my cute little guy!
I've coloured him up using flexmarkers & promarkers.
Cut him out using a die & inked the edges with a promarker.
I used a blender to soften the edges.
The papers are my latest find in Lidl! I just love popping in
for a mooch around every now & then, as you just never know when
crafty bits might pop up!

The sentiement was done on the pc using a font which you can get
for free here. I love this one for Christmas cards.
I have added a touch of glitter using a Sakura Clear Star pen
but I don't think you can see it very well in the photo's.
The embellishments I have used are some twine, a little
silver Christmas tree charm & a die cut snowflake!

A look at the fold from another angle!
Now remember if you're hopping, your next stop is Tammy
but, don't forget to comment along the way!

Good morning all & happy "hump" day!
Halfway through the week & it's all downhill from here! Yay!

I made a twisted easel card using the image
from our sponsor this time

I coloured Gus with a mix of flex & pro-markers, distressed the edges,
then did a bit of matting & layering. The papers are from Papermania.
I also added some glossy accents to the image.

I added the sentiment (which comes with the image) as the stop
for the easel section by mounting on foam pads.
I also added a sandpaper bunker which I hand cut and.
a couple of buttons threaded with twine

Time For A Cat Nap

Good morning bloggers & readers!
Here I am with this weeks Just Inklined card!
So sorry it's a bit later than it should be but I scheduled the post
for the wrong day! Doh!
I made a little twisted easel card this time!

The image I have used is Cat Nap from
I just love this little kitty all snuggled up!
The DP I have used is from American Crafts. I managed to
pick it up as a bargain in TK Max! I added some
lace & buttons from my stash too!

I coloured the image with a combination of FlexMarkers  Promarkers.
I was obviously thinking Pink when I created this one!

The sentiment ticket is by The Crafty Pad Designs

A Woman's Work!

A woman's work is never done & that goes for this little lady, who is one of the latest additions to the Digi's With Attitude! store this week!

She's called Vacuuming Tween & she's dying to get out with her friends but instead, she's having to clean her room!!!
She's decided to have a bit of fun while doing it & is doing the Hoover Boogie to her favourite old Queen song "I want to break free!" Those of you old enough might remember the video with Freddie Mercury in a dress doing the cleaning!
Which brings me on to this weeks
Challenge#18 over at Digi's With Attitude!
It's a Theme Challenge & is "Anything to do with cleaning!"
Now you don't have to use a Digi's With Attitude! image but we do like to see what you do with them!
This week we once again have a sponsor!

Robyn's Fetish is offering up 2 paper packs, of the winners choice, from their store! This is of course  in addition to the usual prize of a $10 coupon for the Digi's With Attitude! store.
They very kindly provided the DT with some papers to play with for this challenge too!
The papers are from a collection called Coney Island Summers!
I made my card using a twisted easel base! to which I added  a matt of lightweight green card & then the  green floral paper.
I coloured my image with promarkers to match in with the papers & cut her out on the big shot with my latest nesties. I matted her onto a layer of the green textured paper.

I then added a computer generated sentiment, a ribbon from my stash, a paper flower with a rose at it's centre & a couple of punched flourishes!
For base of the easel I used the green textured paper.

The stop was once again a computer generated sentiment cut out with another nestie & matted onto the floral paper & lightweight card!

For balance I added a rose & punched flourishes!
Thank you for looking & I do hope you'll have time to play along! Don't forget to visit the other DT members blogs & comment on their cards too!!!

I have been asked how I made this card and I have to say it was very simple to do!
I took a square card blank, opened it up & scored one half from corner to corner on the diagonal!
I folded over the card & sharpened the fold with a bone folder.
I added the design paper to the base card.
I then took another piece of cardstock the same size as the base card & decorated that with the DPs and my image, flowers etc!
I attached the front to the base & added the sentiment as a stop to retain the card front!
I hope you can follow these instructions! If you do want any more details just ask!!!
