I just hope the weather is as nice as it has been this week!
The card I have for you today is a little anniversary card!
I made it for my Mum & Dad who have been married for
an amazing 54years! Wowsers!

It's little 5x5 inch card base.
I took the inspiration from the photo at

The papers I've used are from Papermania
I've kept it simple to send it through the mail.

The image I have used is
It's just wonderful!

The ticket sentiment is one from the sheet that Caz designed.
I told you about in another post, here.

I can't remember who the 'Bling' hearts are made by but I purchased them in
Southfields Shop. They catch the light just beautifully!

I decorated the inside of the card with a little of the DP's.
The floral one was punched with a Marth Stewart punch.
Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!
I'm off to look for a couple of challenges to enter!

Please don't share him, but do send your friends over to collect him!
I used the sketch below,

You'll notice my image is on the other side of the page!

That's because some silly billy didn't check which way the card
opened before sticking it all together!
The result being a card that opened the wrong way! ROFL
Luckily I had attached the image & the sentiment tickets with Pinflair glue
so I had time to rearrange them!

The papers I have used are really old, they're from
Paper Mania, For Him, Colossal Paper Pack.
I coloured the image with  a mix of Promarkers & Flexmarkers

Ticket Sentiments from Caz at A Load Old Old Blogcocks!
There's a whole A4 sheet of them for all occasions!
I added a couple of fab retro buttons & some twine.

I also decorated the inside of the card.

Butterflies Are Beautiful Things!

Hello lovely bloggers!
It's time for the August Showcase at The Crafty Pad!
Due to the holiday's etc, there are no new releases this time.
Instead, Debbie, the lovely boss & owner of
has let the DT loose in the shop! lol
The bonus for you is that all of the images featured in the post
will be on sale in The Crafty Pad Designs Shop
with a whopping 30% off!

I'd like to share this card with you today!
It's made using one of my all time Crafty Pad Designs favourites,
I was asked to make an 80th Birthday card for an Aunt.
No more info than that & when I asked what size I was told not too small!
So, I decided to have some fun with it!

The card base is an 8x8 inch.
It's the first time I've done one of these!
A bit less daunting than A4 but lot's of space to play with!
I chose the papers at Southfield Stationers, I love the quality of their papers.
I used my grand nesties to cut out the circles & Inked all the edges with
Colour Q Pink & Lilac ink pads.

I printed the Butterflies & Verse onto some Safmat from Letraset,
then stuck to the paper before cutting out.
I added some Diamond Sparkles to the butterflies wings
then layered with Pinflair Glue when dry.

A close up of the lovely verse.

To embellish the card, I punched some flowers from the DP &
embossed before layering up.
I added a brad at the centre of each which had been dipped in
PVA glue then Diamond Sparkles.
I used a Marrianne Creatables Die to cut out a couple of flourishes
which I adhered to the card, leaving some parts free for added dimension.

More of the flowers!

The circle sentiment was created in my graphics programme before
being cut out a nestie & inked then glittered .

I decorated the inside of the card with the papers,
a little punched border & some daisies punched from the scraps.
I hope you like my card & I really, really hope the lady who
asked for it likes it! If not would anyone like...... lol
Now pop on over to The Crafty Pad & check out what the
other ladies of the DT have done!
Don't forget all of the images featured are on sale this week!

Sarah's Bookmark!

Evening all!
Just a quick post to share the bookmark I made for Sarah with you!
My niece Sarah & her husband are celebrating their first wedding anniversary
this week & have headed of to Majorca for a bit of sunshine!
As you probably know the first anniversary is paper!
So, I made them both bookmarks!
This is a corner bookmark & I've never made one before!
(My friend Ali has a done a tutorial here)
This is my take on it!

She just loves butterflies & pink so there you go!
The butterfly border is a Tonic punch.
The large butterfly is also a Tonic Punch & the smaller
a Martha Stewart punch.
The green ribbon just appeared beside me when I was making it up
so I added that too!

The DP is from the C&C members Hunkydory Kit
I inked the edges with a little inkpad.
Here you can see it on the corner of a book page.

I added a little piece of DP on the back too!
Thanks for dropping in! It's always nice to see you!
Don't forget to enter my Candy draw whilst you're here!
I'm off to look for a wee challenge or two to enter!

Show Me Your Metal

Hi di hi Bloggers,
I hope you're all well this fine Sunday morning!
At least I hope it's a fine Sunday morning!
With any luck, when this goes live I'll be having a bit of a lie in!
I've had such a busy time of late & things are just starting
to calm down & get back to normal!
Well, it depends what you call normal I guess! lol
Anyhoo, with out further ado, on to the purpose of this post!
It's Sunday & as you all probably know, time for the new challenge over at
The Crafty Pad
Your hostess this week is the lovely Helen & her chosen theme is
 Show Us Some Metal
Here's my take on that!

I used things from my scrap box to make this card as my crafty stash is
still all packed up in boxes all around the house!
The reason for that is that we're re-decorating & having some
other work done around the house too!
I made a square card! (I hear you all yawning!!! Lol)
I used red for the base, then a matt of a plain grey/blue linen paper.
The DP's are from downloads ages ago & have been in my
scrap box for a year at least!
The image of course is from The Crafty Pad Designs.
I think he's just the cutest little bear & I love using him on my cards!

I was tempted not to colour him but decided to give him a touch of colour
with my usual mix of Promarkers & Flexmarkers.
I added a dusting of Diamond Sparkles & inked the edges with chalk ink.

Onto the metal!
I used brads from my stash I think they are from Do Crafts
but I've had them forever so I can't be sure!
The little sentiment tag was from a Making Memories
goody bag  a couple of years ago, as were the snowflake charms

I added a piece of red ribbon and fixed the snowflakes with brads.

You can just about see the inside of the card is decorated too!
Thanks for popping in, I hope you had fun!
