A Wedding Invitation!

Good evening all! I thought I'd share the wedding invitations I made for my niece with you!
Her theme is Navy & Cream
As they had previously bought some save the date cards from the internet & we decided to use those as the basic design for the design of the invitation.
After looking at lots of different card designs the 'Happy Couple' opted for a gatefold card.

The card base is made using A4 navy recycled cardstock,
I cut it in half , scored either side & folded to a gatefold.

I printed the words Wedding Invitation on to a square of cream card then matted & layered with a navy & then a cream square.
I added a little flourish or two which were cut using a punch papermania punch & a single cream rose.

I used ultra high tack DST to stick the ribbon to the back of the card.
Then wrapped it around, tying in a double knot at the front.

For the insert I printed out the details onto a piece of A6 cream cardstock, trimmed a little
 & stuck inside using photoglue!
Simples Huh!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi all,
Just had to stop by to say a big thank you to you, all my fab followers & blogging buddies for being here & leaving me lots of great comments!
I really do appreciate you all stopping by!
If I'm honest I was hoping that I'd get to around the 100 mark for my Blogoversary in a couple of weeks time & I was going to sort out a candy giveaway to celebrate, but I'm delighted to say you've caught me on the hop!
I will announce some candy soon, just to say thank you to my fab friends & followers!

Be Gentle With Me! DTD Blog Hop

Woo Hoo, here I am with my first DT card as a Dudette!
*Jumping up & down with excitement!*
I was sooo chuffed when I was asked to be part of the
Dude Time Doodles Challenge Design Team,
I can tell you, I was dancing around the room whooping!
My other half & the cat were both looking at me as if I had lost the plot!!
If you haven't been over there yet, you really must check it out!
You'll never have a problem making a guys card ever again!

So, down to business!
To introduce the new Dudettes & some new releases,
the Dude Time Doodles Challenge  DT are holding a blog hop!
If you're following the hop, you should have come here from
Boni's Blog if you're a bit lost, or have started here, don't worry, I have a list of all the Dudettes Blogs below! It's a circle hop so you can just carry on from here if you like!
Here's my card for the hop!

The image is called Herman Hustle
& you can find him in the Dude Time Doodles Store
Not sure you'll all get what I was thinking when I made this,
to quote a friend, "It looked much better in my head!" lol

I coloured the image using promarkers & outlined him with red
to give a bit of a glow from the disco lights,
then I cut him out!
I used a shaped white card blank,
added a matt of black paper cut out with a nestie & a smaller matt of holographic paper
from Southfields Bits n Pieces range
I cut a smaller matt of both papers then added the sentiment which was generated on the computer.

The font I used is called LMS Hippy Chick & you can download it for free here
I think it suits this card perfectly!
The large gems at the top are stuck onto punched circles of  black paper & are supposed to represent the disco lights! Get it???

lol, I even added some glitter to his hair to look as if the light was shining through it!
Sorry, I'm rambling! Without further ado, on with the hop!
I do hope you're having fun! What am I saying, of course you are!
You wouldn't be here otherwise, would you?

I've never done one of these before so I'm hoping I've got the hopping right! lol!
If you've followed the hop from the start, you should have got here from Boni's Blog
Don't forget to leave a comment & a little lurve for all the Dudette's, as you go, they do work hard!
Another reason for leaving a comment is that there may be a prize or two to be won from a mystery hostess along the way!
Wouldn't want to miss out on that now would  we!

Thanks for stopping by, it was soo nice to see you!
Now, to continue on the hop & having fun, follow the link to Lynn's Blog!
I have to admit to being snuggled up in bed while this post goes live, so please forgive me if the links don't go straight to the blog hop posts!
I promise I will fix it as soon as I awake from my slumbers here in Bonnie Scotland.

I'd like to include my card in the following challenges if I may

Oh No! That Girl's A Boy!

Evening all!
Uh Oh, I got it wrong!
I was  sure my niece was going to have a little girl but I got a text this morning to say she was proud Mummy to a little boy called Ethan! How sweet is that!
Here's the card I made!

Quite a simple & straightforward card!
The image is from Pink Gem Designs. Such a cute image!
I coloured it up with promarkers & cut out with a nestie.
I used a scalloped square card for the base, matted & layered it with aqua & yellow card.

I added some matching dotted ribbon and a little sentiment from the internet.
I made a bow with another length of the dotted ribbon &attached using a "posh pin"

Finally I added three little buttons to finish it off!
Hope you like it!

It's Monday & It's My Final DT Card For My Grafico!

Monday it is then!
Here's my final card for the My Grafico Inspiration & Challenge blog
Boo Hoo!
I have to say a big Thank You to all my Teamies over there!
It's been a blast ladies & I hope I can work with you all again sometime soon!
Here's my card!

The DT were given the Dilek Cute Babies Set to work with

It's a great set for all sorts of stuff! New Babies,1st Birthdays Christenings etc etc etc
I opted for a DL sized card this week! It's ages since I did anything that size & I was so delighted with my
Money Wallet last week I decided to do it again!
I printed out the image & coloured with promarkers.

I matted the image onto a DP from the Two Peas In A  digital paper set & then added some leaves
punched from the DP with my recently purchased punch, which punches out three different sized
leaves at once & a couple of ribbon roses which have been in my stash for a very long time!

Next, I added a section of the DP  to the lower 1/3rd of the card. I used high adhesion DST to attach a length of ribbon & then added a tailored bow!
Three little pink buttons finished off the bottom section of the card.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by for my "My Grafico" finale!
Don't forget to enter the challenge!
It's ALWAY'S Anything Goes! What could possibly be easier!

Craftystash Comp Entry & Where Are All My Buddies

Good afternoon everyone!
While I was taking a photo of this card, I thought I would share it with you!
It's my entry for the Monthly Comp over at Craftystash!

This month the theme is Grunge or Glitter

I opted for the glitter as I decided to use the Spring Time download for my card!
I printed my card onto pearl card stock and printed the insert & envelope
which were also included onto ice paper.
The results were very pleasing!
The rules are that you must use one of Debbie Lauder, site owner's, downloads to make your entry!
Her downloads are available on both Craftystash & Card Making Downloads
If you don't have one of Debbie's downloads, it needn't cost you anything to enter, you can pick up a freebie

(in fact this is one of those freebies) on either site!
There is writing on the card but as I don't want the person it's intended for to see it ahead of time,
I've taken it off the pic!
If you fancy having a go , pop on over to the Craftystash Gallery to check out the rules!
Debbie always gives a newly designed  download as a gift for entering.
She also offers some amazing & very generous prizes!
Thanks for looking!
Hope you'll find the time to join in!You have until the end of the month!
We always welcome a bit of competition!
Now, I was about to say that all our blogging buddies have gone awol!
However, when I hit publish, I found that they have returned!
Mr Blogger must've taken them for a walk in the sunshine! lol

We Are The Champions & We Have More Blog Buddies!

Hi all, is it Sunday again?
This week at The Crafty Pad, for Challenge#127 the theme is
Use Bold/Bright Colours Or Pastel Colours!
Our sponsor this week is
The lovely Crafty Emma's Store,

who is offering this wonderful clear stamp set!

Here's my card!

A double twisted easel!
As You can see I went for bold & bright with a bit of pastel!
I used the Bradley With Football image.
June as well as being the most popular month for weddings,
is supposedly the start of summer??? & the end of the football season for all the school teams!
This card is for the cup winner!
The image was printed out as it comes

then,I flipped it to get the opposing player!

I coloured them both with promarkers, matted onto some black cardstock & then some green.
I used a sheet of green cardstock for my base card, as I felt this represented grass!
I used a punch that I've had forever in my toolbox to punch the stars which I then folded up.
The card was lined with black underneath to highlight this!

I used some mesh that I've had in my stash for ages, just to give a bit of detail across the base.
For the stops, I used a couple of black buttons which I threaded with some ribbon.
The diecut cup was from a candy that I won.
I threaded some red white & blue ribbon through the handles & then stuck it on to a piece of
black card which I had punched the corners of & folded so that it stood up!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with for
The Crafty Pad Challenge be it Bold & Bright Or Pastel
Thanks for looking!
