Thinking of you

Thought I's share this little Clean & Simple Card with you today.

It's a simple A6 size Linen Embossed Card Blank
I printed the sentiment straight on to the card in word.
The font I have used is Pepita MT.
You can download it free from here
I used a promarker to ink the edges of the card
& did the same to an inchie square of the same card.

Finally I added a layered felt flower with a button centre.
I think it's simple yet effective.
Hope you like it & thanks for stopping by!

It's Inspirational!!!

Good Morning all!
Today is the 3rd Wednesday of the month, that means it's Inspiration day at
Dude Time Doodles!
We have a brand new challenge & here's the inspiration for you to follow!
Colours, photo's & a theme!

Here's my little card

Now, I'm not sure what this type of card is called but I've seen a few around
when I was blog hopping, so I thought I'd give it  a try!
This side view lets you see the folds

The image I have used is from Bonibleaux Designs, he's called "Waylon Wave"!
Fit or what?
He sure is one handsome Surf Dude!
The papers I have used are from the Two Peas In A set from My Grafico.
I love these papers & they feature on many of my projects!
I simply tore them to give the ragged edge.

I coloured Waylon up with Promarkers, then I used Woodware Fluffy Stuff
to make the foam on the waves!
It's the first time I've actually used this
on a card & I'm loving it so far!
Here's a closer look

Okay, so it's not perfect, who cares? But, can you see that six pack? LOL

I added a computer generated sentiment made using LMS Hippy Chick font.
You can download it free from here for personal use.
I added some bakers twine which i tied some half hitches in & knotted.
Then a couple of photo corners to finish the card off!

So, that's my card, I hope you like it

Now, lets see what you can do with this one!

Watermelon!

Evening all!
I have a card to share with you!
On a Monday too!!!
I was doing a bit of crafting yesterday & I remembered that the challenge at For Fun Challenges was Watermelon! You can also pick up a FREEBIE from their sponsor  Meljen's Designs  if you need it!
Of course I popped on over to refresh my memory & pick up the FREEBIE
It's such a cute little image !
Here's my card

I used a pale green 7"x4" card blank for the base of my card.
I added two triangles of DP in watermelon type colours.
The pink spotted paper is from Southfield Staioners & the green paper was actually the result of my old printer giving up the ghost! I decided to keep the mishap & I'm soo glad I did!
I then added a strip of mini Ric Rac across the join  & added a couple of little triangles at the corners.

I used my graphics programme to add some text around the image.
Then I cut it out with a Nellie Snellen Die.
I'd like to say I managed to judge the size perfectly but it was actually
a happy coincidence!
I then coloured up the image with Promarkers & added a couple of little
highlights with a white gel pen.

My final addition was a few little pieces of Card Candy!
Thanks for looking & I hope you like it!
I'm off to enter it into a challenge or two!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges!

We've Gone All Cute & Girly!

Happy Sunday all! Hope you've had a good weekend!
We have a new challenge for you over at The Crafty Pad this week!
The theme for Challenge #134 is Cute & Girly
This week we are sponsored by

Creative Craft World who are offering a £10 voucher for their shop!

Here's my card!

I used the sketch from The Pixie Cottage

for the basic design of my card!
As you can see I flipped it over!
The image I have used is
Anna at Gate With Flower from The Crafty Pad Designs
There are a few Anna images that you might like to check out!

I coloured Anna up using my Promarkers &
cut her out using a scalloped circle nestie!
I added some Diamond Sparkles to the white borders of her outfit!
The DP's  I have used are from Papermania & have been
in my stash forever!
I have matted them onto a co-ordinating plain paper.

I used some Daisy flowers from Sweet Pea Polly's & added
a bit of glamour dust to the centres.
The leaves are from a punch which punches out all three sizes at once!
Not sure about it's origins but it may be Woodware.

The Happy Birthday sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad Designs
& is printed onto Safmat from Letraset then stuck onto a scrap piece of the DP
I added some more punched leaves & a ribbon bow!

Rather than add an insert I decorated the inside of the card with some
DP & a white section for the greeting.
I feel this adds to the balance of the card!
Thanks for stopping by!
I really hope you can find the time to play along with our
"Cute & Girly Challenge"
at The Crafty Pad this week!
I'm hoping it's gonna be a popular one!
