Is It Snowing???

Hi all,

I wanted to share this little couple with you! 

Such a sweet image from The Crafty Pad Designs!

I made this card for a neighbour & forgot all about posting it 

until I was doing a tidy up on my laptop!

Here is my card!

I opted for a fairly simple white on white theme,

with embossed panels which were matted onto some purple craft paper.

The base card is a shaped 5x5in card blank.

I coloured the image with a mix of 

Sakura gel pens & promarkers.

I cut the image out with a Nestie die which matches the shape of the card,

added a computer generated greeting, some self adhesive gems & a ribbon bow!

This year I think I'll try to get ahead & make more Christmas cards as I go!

Ha! I hear you say!!!! lol

Good Morning all!!!

It's back to work for me today after my Jolly Hols!

I hope you all had a good time over the Festive Season!

The Challenges are back on at Dude Time Doodles

This week is Anything Goes!

Here's my card

It's a birthday card for an older chap who likes a glass or two of Rioja!

He's a sharp dresser just like Chick Saunders, the image I have used.

The image was coloured with Promarkers then cut out with a nesties label die.

I lightly edged it with Antique Linen Distress Ink sadly,

 it doesn't show up too well in the photo!

I made an A6 tent fold card blank for the base.

The earthy colours I have used were inspired by the recipient.

(Tip- Using earthy colours gives a great masculine feel to a card!)

I used a matt of white card again lightly edged with distress ink,

then a matt of green to which I added a strip of hessian mesh.

Next I added the image & a couple of photo corners along with 

some of my new funky fibres in co-ordinating colours.

The sentiment is a freebie from Create with TLC 

 I think it's perfect for this card!

Who's Got The Candles?

Hi all!

I have a card to share with you today!

I made it for a friends Birthday!

Sorry the pics are a bit rubbish & I can't get more as the card has

already been sent!

The image I have used is a Digi's With Attitude, Grumpy Gretchen

I love that little lady! Unfortunately I can't give a link as 

DWA no longer seems to exist.

I've used this little lady before many times here's a photo of one of the 

other cards I made using her

The sentiment was created on the pc!

I used a 5"x5" square card blank.

The paper I used was from a candy I won, so I have no idea where it's from!

I matted & layered using coordinating green & purple card!

I coloured Gretchen using promarkers!

The corners were rounded with a corner punch!

I added some Mulberry paper flowers which I embossed & layered 

to add a bit of texture & dimension!

The centres are glittered brads!

I added a little double bow using ribbon from Lidl's Christmas wrapping collection!

I haven't got a photo but the inside of the card was simply decorated with a matt 

of green  purple card then a white piece to write on!

Happy New Year!

Hi all,

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

I will try to post a card tomorrow but this afternoon we're having a houseful of guests! 

We have lots of family & friends round for soup & stovies then a little buffet later on!

The numbers vary but we're expecting between 20-30 today perhaps more if my niece turns up with her 6 house guests! lol
