Simply The Best

Good Morning Bloggers!
Happy Hump Day to you all!
In just a few hours we'll be well on the downward slope
towards the weekend! Yippee!!!
It's Wednesday &that means it's time for the new challenge at
This week the theme is
"Anything Goes For A Dude!"

My card is a simple little A6 card, with a tent style opening.
The image I've used is Henry Hero from the
The Sentiment Ticket was a freebie ages ago from
The papers are from my K & Co Hopscotch Boy pad!
Such a great variety of designs!
I've actually used just one double sided paper.
I'm sailing really close to the wind at the moment as we are redecorating
& re-carpeting pretty much the whole house as well as
having some other work done & I only have
a small amount of stash out to play with!

In honour of our sponsor this week

who are offering a whopping
$10 Gift Certificate to one lucky winner,
I have included some ribbon on my card.
I don't always do this for Dude cards but I think it looks just fine here!
Instead of a bow, I just tied a little knot.

As you can see the edges of my image, papers & sentiment ticket
have all been distressed & inked with a little ink pad.
The ends of the ribbon have been frayed a little too!

I added a little decoration to the inside of my card.
I prefer this to a plain insert.
I hope you can find the time to play in our challenge
Dude Time Doodles this week!
I can't wait to see what you create!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Molly Cat Birdhouse

Good morning all you lovely bloggers!
Today I have a simple little card to share with you.
I made it to send to a friend just to say hello!
The image I have used is Molly Cat With Bird House
Molly & twitter are great friends!

The base of the card is a vertical A6 blank.
The image was coloured using a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers
The Design paper is from The Best Of British Collection
which came free with Crafts Beautiful magazine.
The inspiration for my colours came from

Do You Stack Up #80 Cool Colours

I added some little doodled birds just for a bit of added interest.
I think all the blues, pinks & greens give this card
a great summery feel to it!

I used a Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch to create the
scalloped borders & punched the same border on the paper insert.
Some of the edges were inked with a little inkpad.
The only other embellishment I added was a little
upcycled ribbon bow.
The ribbon was originally on a friends top to hold it on a hanger.
