Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my lovely Dad's 75th Birthday!
Happy Birthday Dad!

I do hope he likes his card!
When I saw Gus over at Bugaboo Stamps, I just had to have him for my Dad's Card!
The image & the sentiment are just perfect!

I coloured up the image using my promarkers & chalked in a sky background!
I added a white line with a gel pen to make the balloon look shiny!
I inked around the edges with a distress inkpad.
The base card was made using a Pop Out Stepper Card Template from Deborah  Lauder over at Craftystash.
So easy to use & very effective!
I simply printed my base card with a Digi Paper from the Essentials 5 Set over at Stamping Dragon Designs.
I then flipped the card over in the printer & printed the base template on the other side! All ready to score & cut, not a ruler in sight!

Next I used my graphics programme to add two more Digi Papers from the same set to the elements sheet.
Doing it this way meant I could print all the elements on one sheet & not a lot of waste! I added my own wording then too!
I cut everything & assembled using a mix of foam tape & photoglue.
The only embellishments added are a couple of bits of recycled string!
You never know when a piece of sting might come in handy!
Eh Dad!
I have entered this card in the Monthly Comp over at Craftystash!

Holiday Monday & A New DT Card

Good morning all!
Firstly can I say a big hi & a wave to my latest follower, BA! Thank you for joining my blogging journey & following my humble little blog! Ladies do check out BA's fab blog if you have a mo!

It's Monday again & that means a new DT card for My grafico challenge & inspirational blog!

This week we were given the fab Sew Much Fun Digital Stamp Set

from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff to play with!
I have to say it made a pleasant change to make something other than Easter cards!
I seem to have been making them for ever! lol
I merged some of the digi's to come up with this image.
I trimmed the image & matt with decorative edge scissors to give a raggedy appearance
I used promarkers as always to colour up the image.
The measuring tape was coloured to match my Mum's tape which she's had as long as I can remember!
The burning question has to be just how accurate is it after all these years?
The scissors are coloured like my tiny decoupage scissors which I seem to have misplaced at the moment!
Has anyone seen them?
The sewing machine was coloured from my minds eye, the thread just wanted to be pink & the heart fell onto the image as I was making the card up so I stuck it where it fell!
The flowers, buttons, ribbons & brads were all from my stash!
I made the sentiment up on my PC & went over the letter with a promarker.
The striped paper was from Southfield Stationers as was the pastel lightweight cardstock.
The layout of this card was inspired by a sketch that I found on Feline Playful

This is for the Eat Sleep Stamp Challenge this week! Thanks for dropping in!
This is the last week of the My Grafico Challenge for April so if you want to get your entry in don't hang about! As ALWAYS it's Anything Goes so let your imagination go wild & just create!
I would like to include my card in the following challenges.

Happy Easter & A card at Last!

A very Happy Easter Sunday to you all!
Today is the beginning of a new challenge over at
The Crafty Pad!
Here is my DT card!

Challenge #118 this week is  "Use Circles!"
We want to see circles on your crafty project whatever it may be!
One circle or many circles, it's up to you!
We are kindly sponsored this week by

The crafty Pad Designs
our very own Debbie, The Lovely Boss, who is offering three digis of the winners choice!

Letraset!
Who have put up a prize of a set of 5 Grey Promarkers!

As you can see I have made a little round easel card using my scalloped circle nesties to cut out the layers & surrounded it with a circle of little speckled chocolate eggs.

The image I have used this week is Bunny #1

from Debbie over at The Crafty Pad Designs.

I've coloured him with Promarkers to make him look like a little Chocolate Bunny!
Well, it is Easter!

The papers are from my stash. The blue one is from DoCrafts & I've had it for ever!
The circles paper that I've used for the base card is from the Cardmaking downloads,
 Some Bunny Backing Papers Set!
I've also used some lightweight pink cardstock which I cut with inverted scallop circle nesties.
The sentiment was created on my PC & cut out with a scalloped circle nestie too!

I used round gems & roses which are as near circles as you can get in the flower variety!

As you can see I did my own shopping for the eggs this week! lol
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope that you have time to join  in our "Circles" challenge this week over at The Crafty Pad.
You don't have to use a Crafty Pad image to enter, but we love it when you do!!!
Don't forget to visit the other DT ladies & leave them some love!
