Turkey Time

Good Morning All.
Hope your week went well & you're now looking forward to a relaxing weekend!
Time for another creation for La Pashe!

This is Turkey Time, one of the fab decoupage designs from the
Christmas With The Wrinklies CD Rom
I've made an 8"x8" card using the decoupage & one of the matching papers.
The punched border was done using a Martha Stewart punch.
The fancy corners &  flourish behind the sentiment were die cut using
Spellbinders dies. I added the layered Poinsettia which has been in my
stash for years & a few little gems to further embellish.

Here's a closer look at the fun image. Such a happy scene!

A little side view just for good measure!
If you don't like CD's you can buy the
Christmas With The Wrinklies Paper Pack here
which includes decoupage sheets & matching papers or  individual sheets here

Jessie's Bingo Birthday

Good Morning & a happy Friday to you all!
I was asked to make a card for a friends neighbour.
The only information I was given was that it would be her 80th Birthday
& that she likes bingo!
Here's what I came up with!

I just couldn't find a digi image that I liked anywhere!
Luckily,  a crafty friend, Lindsay,  owner & artist for the fantastic LEJ Designs ,
came to the rescue & drew this image especially for me! What a Star!
She also did another which I haven't used as yet but I reckon I will soon!
If you'd like the image contact Linsday via her shop & ask her to add it!
I'm sure lot's of people would love to have a Bingo image to colour!
The papers, letters & money are from a free page which I found on
The circle sentiment button was made in my graphics programme.
I tried to match it to the bingo balls on the paper!

I coloured her with a mix of flexmarkers & promarkers.
I cut her out with a circe nestie & inked the edges wth a liquid chalk inkpad.
I tried to create a look of smudged lipstick

Four little £20 notes all stacked up (adding up to80 yeah)

A side view showing the BINGO letters arranged around the image
& the sheer ribbon double bow which had actually been tied for
another project but hadn't been used.

The inside of the card.
Jessie was apparently over the moon with her card! Yay!

Good morning all!
I hope the week is flying by for you! Almost the weekend! Yay!
Here is todays little card!

An A6, base using my precious dotty CS! I love to look at it but
I hate to use it! lol I opted for a CAS birthday card for a little girl!
The image I have used is Grace & Alfie from Just Inklined
The sentiment was typed with a free font called Jessica Elaine

Coloured with Promarkers & flexmarkers.

The bottom corners were rounded with a punch.
A little bit of ribbon upcycled from a top & a bow added to embellish.
Et voila!

Altered Art & A DT Call

Good morning all!
Todays project is something a little different for me!
Over at The Crafting Cafe this month, the theme is
I haven't done much in the way of altered art but here's what I came up with!

I altered a candle by adding the wonderful image
Working The Land by the lovely Teri over at

Regular Sponsor
who is sponsoring our challenge this month!
Simples!
This is something I have been meaning to try for ages.

I changed the colour of the image in word then printed it onto some
tissue paper which I had taped to normal printer paper.
I cut around the image, leaving a border then held against the candle
& heated with my heat gun until the wax melted enough to encase the tissue.
If you try this at home remember to be careful, it's HOT!

I wanted to go with a rustic look, so I added a little magic mesh, a piece of
cotton ribbon & a layered paper flower with some punched leaves. The items
I have used have all been in my stash for years, so it's good to use them up!
Simple but effective!
I would recommend removing the embellishments before lighting the candle!

Don't forget we are running a DT call alongside the challenge this month.
If you want to be part of our fun team, all you need to do is
add DT after your name when you link up your project!
