Strawberries Yum!

I've just been given this sweet blog award from the lovely Linda!

I've seen it around & I love strawberries,

 so you can guess just how delighted I am!

There are of course the rules

Well I wouldn't not, that would be the height of bad manners now!

2) I have to tell 7 things about myself that no one will know!

That's a toughie as I'm a bit of an open book! 

I don't think I've done anything overly remarkable in my life! 

I do try to be good & treat everyone as I'd like to be treated!

 Here goes anyway!

1) I don't like Marzipan but I do love Almonds

2) I love being 50, I don't feel pressured into going out when I want to stay home!

3) I love going to the theatre!

4) I'm the worlds messiest crafter!

5) I love peas! I'd have them at every meal if I could!

6) I'd love to have a dog but I work all day so I have a cat instead!

7) I once scored a 297 at 10 pin bowling (the top is 300)!

3) Next I have to pass this award on to 7 other bloggers!

Everybody Knows An Everyday Hero

Everyday Hero's, everybody know's one!

Meet Evan, he's just one of those hero's!
He hides out over at Dude Time Doodles & is ready to go whenever he's called upon!

Actually his poor partner is laid up & although Evan is normally quite good around the house.
He's been left with all the housework & the task of carer too!

Can't be easy but he looks fairly cool with it!
Today sees a new challenge over at Dude Time Doodles Challenge blog!
This week it's a colour photo/inspiration challenge!

We want to see how you use the colours, or the pictures to inspire you!!

We don't mind what you do as long as you make a card for 

a male & use the inspiration! 

I opted for an easel card.

I coloured Evan up with promarkers! 

I think he must be a little colour blind, I'm a bit dubious about his outfit!

I cut him out using a nestie & ran a promarker around the edge to ink it up a bit!

I added 3 little button embellishments.

The ticket sentiment I've used is from The Crafty Pad Designs 

& I gave it a bit of a colour with promarkers too!

The DP I have used is from Robyn's Fetish. I've had it printed off in my stash for ages.

Not very manly perhaps! I think it goes well for this card though!

The corrugated card I have used for matting has been in my stash forever too!

I also wrapped a couple of bits of ribbon around it & tied in a double knot!

Love Me Love My Dog!

Good evening all! I hope Monday wasn't too painful for you! lol

Thought I'd share the card I made this evening with you all!

I used the sketch 

from One Stop Craft as the base for the design of my card!

The papers are from Dovecraft & have been in my stash for a long time!

The image is from Digi's With Attitude 

A very elegant pair I'm sure you'll agree!. 

I've coloured it up using promarkers then cut out with a nestie!

The flowers & leaves are from Sweetpeapolly's Crafty Things

I added a punched border which was done with a Papermania Daisy Lace Border punch

I added a couple of posh pins & a computer generated sentiment!

I decorated the inside of my card to match the outside!

Christmas, In July?

Happy Sunday all! 

I hope you're all enjoying the weekend & are doing whatever you want to do on a Sunday!

Being Sunday, we at The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog have a new challenge for you!

The theme - Christmas in July?

Here's my card

I used Debbie's Elf Sitting On Gift image available from The Crafty Pad Designs here

He's just soo cute!

I wanted to colour him in traditional colours but as at Christmas, anything goes 

I coloured the gift in non traditional colours! 

I then had to figure out how to tie it together! 

I do wish I could plan a card properly before I start but no, 

every one is a journey! lol

The Ticket is one of Debbies too & is available here.

As you can see, when it's open, I have made an offset gatefold card. (not sure what the proper name is)

The design papers are from a Scrapbookingmad download 

they just went perfectly with the colours on the gift!

I punched out some little white snowflakes which I stuck on using my Quickie Glue Pen

I used promarkers for colouring & I added little touches of Glamour Dust 

to the holly berries on the ticket & to the elf's hat & shoes. 

It just wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of glitter now would it?

I've been looking for my Glamour Dust for ages as I hadn't used it yet. 

Lo & behold when I went in to my Christmas Stash there it was! Yay!

I used a little bit of all my colours on the ticket to try to pull everything thing together!

I added some little gems to the centre of the snowflakes

 & added some ribbon to match the ribbon on the gift!

Then decorated the inside of the card to finish it off!
