Riding Along - On A Pushbike

Good morning  blogland!
Are we all enjoying the heatwave or is it a bit much?
I'm loving it except when I have to be in work!
It's too too hot in there! lol
Anyhoo! Here is the card I have to share with you today!

I've made a birthday card for a girl/ woman using
"Riding Along"  decoupage sheet from La Pashe it is
also on the new La Pashe Something For Everyone CD-Rom
I have to say it makes me want to sing The Pushbike Song (by the mixtures)!

Here's a closer look at the image, I cut it out & used foam pads to layer.

I've kept the layout fairly simple as I tend to do!
The design paper & the sentiment are from the CD too!
I should have added some flowers in her basket!

I added a die cut fence some butterflies & a little row of roses.

A sheer ribbon triple bow to finish off!
You can see the dimension better from this angle.
If you haven't seen the CD, pop over to La Pashe & check it out!
There really is Something For Everybody!
I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges:

Gardening Boots (Hers)

Good morning blog land!
Is it Thursday already?? I hope you've all been having a good week!
I've got a busy weekend ahead being sociable so I don't see much crafting
going on in this house! lol
So, being Thursday, here is my card for Just Inklined!

I've gone for a shabby chic kinda look with this one!
The image I have used is the fantastic
There is of course, also a his version!
These are just perfect for summer while everything in the garden is rosy!

I coloured the image with my usual mix of Promarkers & Flexmarkers.
I then cut out with a circle nestie & inked with Antique Linen distress ink.

For the layout I used this weeks sketch

I did jig it about a bit  bringing things forward & swapping shapes around .
It is also difficult to see due to the colours on the papers
but I'm pretty sure you can see the sketch in there!
Goodness knows where the papers are from, I seem to remember
they arrived when we were in the midst of doing up the house & got put away
whenever they arrived. the wrappers is plain cellophane which does't help at all!
Please feel free to enlighten me if you know!

I threaded some twine through the lace & tied a little bow.
The buttons are from my stash
The sentiment ticket is from Crafty Pad Designs.
Thanks so much for popping in, I really do appreciate it!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Thanks To a Great Team!

Morning all! I hope you're well today!
I have a not so little card to share with you this time!
I found this when I was doing a bit of tidying up on my blog!
There are quite a few photo's too so I'll apologise for that now!
This is a card I was asked to make by my Mum, to thank all the staff at
Ward 1 in the Western General Hospital Edinburgh.
For those not in the know, this is an Oncology Ward
where people go to have Chemo treatmments.
(Mum finished her chemo a good while back thankfully!)
They really are a fantastic team!
Here's the card!

It's an 8 x8 inch square card. The papers are all
Papermania & the images are all from Bugaboo!
I've had them all since the start of last year to make a variety of
"Thank You" cards along the way!
As you can see I added some pink ribbon & a
little hope charm!

As well as the "Thank You" message,I tried to represent each of the nurses &
doctor, who were the main characters in this chapter of mums treatment!

Here are some things we learnt along the journey!
Did you know that the nurses wear purple gloves
whilst handling & administering Chemo "Cocktails"?

A lot of the drugs are light sensitive so they need to be kept in
dark little bags whilst being transported & administered!

The nurses, doctors & support team are all angels!

Some of them are sassy too & some chemo drugs are bright red!
I also decorated the inside a little with a scalloped circle to
allow mum to add a personal greeting/message!

As there was no room on the front & I had to include the doctor!
I popped her inside! Mum decorated her skirt a bit more!

She's looks a little bit scary but she's not at all!
All of the images were coloured with a mix of promarkers & flexmarkers
The glasses, vase & some other little bits were highlighted with a
Sakura Clear Star pen. I hope you like it!
Mum gave the card to the team on her last visit & they loved it!
They all had great fun guessing who was who!
I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges if I may:

A Meringue To Share

Good morning all!
Todays card was commissioned by my dear MIL.
She asked for a birthday card featuring a meringue. Eeek I thought, that's a challenge!
I trawled the internet but I just couldn't find a digi image of a meringue anywhere.
I happened to ask in one of my facebook groups & lo & behold,
I woke up next morning to find that my hero, the awesome, very talented  & truly
lovely Jak Heath had drawn one especially for me!

Isn't it just gorgeous! Looks good enough to eat!
Meringues with Strawberries & Cream just scream summer to me!

I printed out the image 3 times, coloured them all with promarkers,
then cut & layered them up with pinflair glue to give some dimesion.

The papers I have used are from the fabulous
Kitschy Kitchen pad by Melissa Frances

A little look at the inside too!
Thanks for popping in!
