Watch Out For The Crafty Pad Showcase!

Good Morning Blog Land!
It's my turn to showcase a Crafty Pad Image to remind you all
to enter your Crafty Pad Creations in the
 May Crafty Pad Monthly Showcase.
Remember, this runs until the end of the month.

Don't have a Crafty Pad Image???
You can pick up a freebie from the Challenge Blog here

I've waited ages to share this card with you all!

I have to say I am rather pleased with this one if I say it myself!
This is the first time I've tried this out, it's an
Acetate Tent Card
& was inspired by my good friends Ali & Debbie
Thank You Ladies!

The clock face is the Pocket Watch image from this set at
I printed out  Design Papers from
onto both sides of some super smooth card.
Next I printed all of the elements out on the card.
I cut out the elements & inked using some distressed inks

Not sure if you can see it in the photo but I liquid embossed the face with
Anita's 3D Glaze, when it had dried, I put it in the freezer.
This allowed me to crack the glaze, giving a cracked glass effect

On the back, I used the pocket watch image again but I blanked out the middle
then added the birthday greeting.
You can see another Crafty Pad Designs Sentiment Ticket there too!

I made the circle sentiment in my graphics programme
The font is 1942 Report & you can get it free here
I thought this gave the card an added vintage feel.

A closer look at the sentiment ticket.

Here's an angled view.
I added some Funky fibres in co-ordinating colours.
Before I go I should also remind you of our Sponsor this month!
Who are offering this wonderful prize

Wish I could enter! lol
I hope to see you over there!

A Great Big Thank You!

Good Morning Blog land!
As it's the Team B's turn to inspire you over at The Crafty Pad this week,
I thought I would share another "Thank You" card with you!
This was made for the same lovely lady who asked for the small
"Thank You" cards a little while back!
This card is entirely different!
It was to be for all of the Ward Staff who cared for her during
a prolonged stay in Ward 6 at The Western General Hospital in Edinburgh!
The request was for a "great big card with nurses & beds etc!"
As you can see, Pink is fast becoming my favourite colour at the moment! lol

Well, I couldn't find many digis'of hospital beds,
but I did find one at Bugaboo!
In fact all the digi's on this card came from Bugaboo!
They're just great to colour up!
The card is an Anita's A4 Card Blank the quality is great & the
envelope that came with it is really sturdy too!

It was lot of space to cover but I found I was running out of space
for all the ward staff around on this one! Lol

Each of the images was coloured with Promarkers & is coloured up to
represent the various members of ward staff who looked after this special lady!
For the glasses, & anything made of glass, I added a little 3d glaze.

The design paper is a digital freebie that I picked up a long time ago.
It was designed by Joanne Barsby!
I also used a plain pink lightweight card stock to matt everything onto!
I cut out the images with various nesties & added a couple of small
panels with ribbon wrapped around just to break things up a little.
The centre panel is the same as the smaller cards I made!
I added some punched leaves which I embossed, some mulberry paper roses
& the obligatory Breast Cancer Awareness pink ribbon!

I added a little decoration to the inside of the card!
Thanks for popping in! I hope you like it!
I'm off to Feline Playful to check if this baby fits any of the
challenges tracked by them this week!
