Arriba Arriba Mexico Phil & Horhay!

Good Morning lovely blog readers, I hope you're all well!
Here I am with a card for Just Inklined!

This fab image is Mexico Phil & Horhay  isn't it  fun?
Great for a blokes card is it not! The sentiment was made on my
PC using a free font called Arriba Arriba  a perfect match I thought!
The base card is  6"x6" Kraft cardstock.
I wanted this card to have a rustic, Mexican farm feel to it!
The papers are K&Company Hopscotch Boy,
 one of my favourite stacks.

I've coloured the image using Promarkers & a flexmarker
to outline. I used the Promarker blender to give the dappled effect.
The layout was a sketch

I guess the shapes & colours caught my eye as that
was what I had in mind for this card!

I didn't add stitching but used twine around the outside to
give the effect. I also wrapped a bit of twine around my
rough cut photo corners!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed your visit!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Do Crafts Download Take 2

Good evening lovely blogging peeps!
Here's another little card I made using the
Do Crafts Creativity Club,
Members Exclusive,Free Tweet Tweet Download kit!
This kit has just been added to the club today!

This card took no time at all as I had already had the kit printed out
& had a play with it! It was printed on to good quality plain paper.

I cut the tree out then layered up a couple of the flowers,
(with those tiny little foam pads) not being too fussy about
how they were placed to give more of a random look!
I decided to put one of the little birds in the tree!
The edges of the paper  were distressed using a pair of serrated scissors.

A side view so you can see the layered flowers!
This card can still be posted using a regular postage stamp.
Thanks for dropping in!
The club costs £24 for a year or £13.50 for 6 months.
There's a whole lot of free downloads, projects,
tips, Creativity TV & online magazines!
I'm going to put this card forward for a couple of challenges:
365 Cards - 20 Minutes or Less
Cards In Envy - Use Paper Strips Instead Of Ribbon
Creative Creations Challenge Blog - Things With B(Blue, Birds & Blooms)
Three Scrappy Gals - Spring
