Climbers Rock & Hop!!!

Hi all, it's time for the New Release blog hop at Dude Time Doodles!
Are you ready, steady, go!!!
If you got here from Lynn's blog you're on the right track!
If you happened here first, not to worry, it is as usual a circle hop
& there is no true beginning & of course no end!
So without further ado, let me introduce you to
Cleeve Climber!

He's an all out hard core rock climbing dude who thinks nothing of rocking up
& climbing to the highest peak!
With his back pack & bedroll on his back, he's prepared for anything.
Perhaps even Everest or K2,!

If you're anxious to continue on the hop, your next port of call is Ruth.

If you want to read more about my card read on!
I'll add the order of the hop later, just in case anyone gets a bit lost!

Of course, I just had to make a rocker card.
I decided to keep it quite simple.
I cut a circle from some card stock, distressed the edge with some
scissors & folded in half.
I coloured the image with Promarkers & cut out with an oval nestie!
I then matted that onto a scalloped oval of the same card stock as the base card.
I added a smaller circle of design paper from my stash!
On reflection I would have done this differently &
cut the paper in half but hey ho, it's too late now baby!

I added a little coiled up rope made with twine & a little shovel charm

I created the circle sentiment in my graphics programme,
cut out with a nestie & coloured with Promarkers

That's really is all there was to it!
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of the hop!
The order is as follows
Dawn-That's Me!

Now as always, this post will go live when I'm on my snore shelf
trying to catch a few zzzzzz's
I promise to link up to the Blog Hop posts before & after mine as soon as I awake!
If I have time I'll link in all the Blog Hop Posts before I go to work!
If not, you'll have to make do with the list linked to just the blogs until I get home!
Do make sure you leave a little love & a comment on each of the blogs
as I have a feeling there will be
"a mystery hostess"
out there with a little prize for someone!!

Pink & Girlie Pussycat

This card was a commission from lady at work!
She wanted a 30th Birthday card for her Daughter in Law who likes pink & cats!
Not much to go on but here's what I came up with!

I made an A5 easel card, using elements from a  Craftystash download.
The design paper was part of the download & the pink paper was from my stash.
I cut out the pyramage, then layered it up using pinflair glue

I punched out lots of little leaves using my Woodware punch
then added them along with some buttons & little pale pink roses.

I added a cat charm which I threaded onto the stem of the rose.
This allows it to move.

I created a circle sentiment in my graphics programme .
I cut this out with an inverted scallop circle nestie.
It was then stuck onto a scalloped circle of the pink paper.
Next I cut the stop from some white card,
using a Marianne Design Creatables Die

I stuck the sentiment on to this, then I stuck it to the card using foam tape.
I have to say I was quite please with the result.
Sorry the pics aren't the best but the weather is atrocious at the moment.
Thanks for stopping by!
I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges

Love On A Distressing Sunday!

It's Sunday again!
How time flies when you're having fun!

Hardly seems like any time since I was sitting on the sofa on
Friday evening looking forward to the rest of the weekend!

We had a great day yesterday, out & about seeing more of the
Edinburgh Festival & Fringe see my previous post for a couple of pics if you're interested!

This week at The Crafty Pad, we have a new challenge!
Challenge #136 is Distressing/Tearing!
Here's my card!

We're sponsored this week by the wonderful Crafty Emma's store

They are offering a fab prize of a £10 voucher
(I must stress this does not include P&P)

I used the Ted's In Love image from The Crafty pad Designs.
I printed it onto Core'dinations  cards & tore roughly around the heart
outline, I then inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress inks.
My base card was made from brown card stock.
The papers are from my stash, sorry I can't remember who they're by.
I added a heart shaped paper doily which I scrunched up then inked with the sameTim Holtz Distress inks
I also added some little self adhesive pearls to lady ted to highlight her necklace!

I added some roses from Sweetpea Polly's Crafty Things, Punched butterflies (Martha Stewart punch) & ornate corners( sizzlits die), all of which recieved the distress ink treatment.
I also added some pearls to the butterflies

I added a computer generated sentiment in '1942 Report' Font which you can download free here.
That was then inked with the distress inks too!

I decorated the inside of the card to match!
I do hope you like it!
It's already winging it's way to the happy couple!
I made this card with the following challenges in mind
Cuddly Buddly Say Something Nice
Just Add Ink Something From Stash

Sunday Morning,

I thought I'd share a couple of pics from yesterday's Busking On The Beach on Portobello Promenade
it turned out to be a lovely day despite starting off with torrential rain!
First I must remind you about the
Dude Time Doodles First Annual Birthday Scavenger Crawl!

You can see my card & my candy in this post on my blog then carry on from there!
There is candy galore along the way & if you complete the scavenger crawl & find all the items you go in the draw to win an awesome $20 voucher for the Dude Time Doodles Store!
Now to the beach!
I really wish I had taken more pics along the way but I'll share a couple of the ones I did take!
There were buskers of all ages, musicians of all descriptions, martial arts, jugglers singers & even an exercise class got in on the act!

Most of the buskers were collecting for charities which is wonderful.
Mark it in your diary for next year!
