Boxing Gloves

Hi all, I trust you're well!

I have a card to share with you today! Yay!

This one is a quick & simple little card for La Pashe & was made using 

one of the new Decoupage For Men Sheets

This isn't the main picture, but one of the little extras you get

on the sheet. The papers are by La Pashe also.
All of the items on this card were left over from the main project
I made to send off to them as a sample, with the exception of
the sentiment, which was left over from another project!
Even the base card was leftover from when I cut an A4 sheet
of card-stock in two to make another card.

The sentiment & image are both popped up slightly

on some foam shaker tape but it's still with in the limits for

posting, with a normal letter postage stamp, in the UK.

What A Nutcase

Hi di hi all,

I don't have a card to share with you today but I do have this!

I recently had an email pop in to my inbox from
Mr Nutcase
asking if I'd like to try out one of their phone cases & write a review!

The idea is you create a personalised case for your device.
(There are also a number of great designs to choose from)

The timing was perfect as I have been on the lookout for a case for my new phone!
I followed the steps on the website, previewed my case then submitted my order.
The process was easy to follow & done in no time!
A couple of days wait - communication was good at each step!
Et voila!

My lovely phone case arrived!
Here's the original photo which I cropped down.

The case was easy to fit & provides protection for my phone
leaving space in all the right places for buttons etc.

 

As well as phone cases, there are cases for  ipad, tablets & more!
I think it's a lot of fun & with such reasonable prices you could have a few
different cases to ring the changes!
They have also given me a discount code for everyone to use!

New Job

Good morning all!

A nice short post from me today!

The card I have to share with you, was a commisioned card. 

Oddly enough, I've had quite a few requests for New Job cards this 

month, I wonder, is it a sign that things are improving with the economy?

Here's what I came up with!

A simple little card in pink & white!

I created the sentiment on the PC then printed, cut out with a

Nesties Label die & inked with Spun Sugar Distress ink.

I used a white base then added two embossed panels which I inked,

then covered the join with a length of seam binding.

I added a separate hand tied quadruple bow.

Inside the card I added an inked panel & a little lucky black cat,

made with a Memory Box die.

I've used the great image - Gardening Boots- His

there's also a Hers version, which is much prettier!

Here's a closer look at the image which was coloured with Flexmarkers,

distressed with a pair of scissors then Vintage Linen & Frayed Burlap

 Distress Inks.

The button & twine are from my stash & the sentiment is a

 Papermania stamp which came free with a magazine.

 I tried using Distress Inks to ink up the stamp but it didn't give the 

effect I was hoping for, so I used a flexmarker instead.

Happy June! I just can't believe how quickly this year is flying by!

Today is the launch of the brand new challenge over at

Here's what I came up with, a couple of non-traditional Wedding Cards

I used sponsor images for both of my cards!

This one is Make It Snappy - Congratulations

such a fun image, it did make me giggle when I saw it!

coloured up with flexmarkers

I added a couple of panels embossed with a cuttlebug swirls embossing folder.

The papers are from Papermania, Venetian Skies.

The beaded trim is from my stash.

This fun & funky little card was made using the image

AKV Our Wedding Toast

As you can see I teamed it with Paisley Patterened papers from American Crafts

Coloured with the usual mix of flexmarkers & promarkers.

The sentiment is a LOTV stamp!

I used the sketch from

as the basis for the layout of this card.

Good morning again lovelies!

It's Thursday, which means time to share a 

Just Inklined card with you!

Here's this weeks make!

A simple,  fun & funky New Home card!

Using the wonderful Treehouse image!

I can think of loads of other occasions this image could be used for!

I coloured the image with Prisma pencils. I'm still learning how to 

work with them but liking the results!

I've kept this card quite simple as I wanted the focus 

to be on the image. The sentiment was done on the pc.

The papers are from American Crafts.

You can see the inside has been decorated too!

I have used a wonderful image from our sponsor

My card is really simple & is totally flat for posting!

Here's a closer look at the image!

Coloured with my usual mix of flexmarkers & promarkers

then a touch of Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch

As the basis for my layout.

The papers I've used are from the K&Co Hopscotch Boy paper stack

& the cog was cut with a sizzix die!

Good moring peeps!

Time for me to share a DT card for Ooh La La Creations!

The theme over on the challenge blog this time, chosen by Michelle is 

Bear It All

Here's what I made.

The image & papers I have used are from the Boys To Men CD Rom

I love the image, it's cute & funny at the same time!

The papers are fab too! Don't you just love that plaid one?

Here's a closer look at the image for you!

This one is a topper which isn't actually what I meant to print out

 but in my usual rush, I hit print at the wrong time!

After I had printed the image out on to decoupage paper, I added

some firmer card to the back, along with some foam tape,

to give a bit of dimension. I used the sketch from 

for the layout of my card. I love this sketch!

You can see I've changed the order of the mats but the

elements are there! 

A couple of buttons threaded with twine & a sentiment left over

from another project are the only other additions!

You don't have to use Ooh La La Creations images or elements to play in the

 challenge, but we love it when you do! If you haven't tried any of the 

Ooh La La Creations  stuff yet, I can tell you there are a few free samples on the

  website & one of them just happens to feature bears!

This is my second post for today!
If you're looking for my Thursday Just Inklined card, please scroll down!
The card I'm sharing my this time is my DT card for the current challenge
over at The Crafting Cafe, where this month's theme is

Creatures

Here's what I came up with!

The image I have used is Love Pets, kindly supplied by our sponsor

Oak Pond Creations

My card wasn't meant to be a brithday card but somewhere along 

the line it turned in to one! lol

The DP I have used was a sheet I got in a crafty stash swap.

A few of us got together & sent each other a parcel of stash we

no longer wanted to play with! It was a whole lot of fun finding out what 

was in those parcels!

I added a little double sided border which was made with my 

 Martha Stewart Doily punch & I added a strip of the DP to it.

I added a fancy circle which was cut with a die from

who knows where then topped with a plain circle of DP.

I coloured it up with promarkers & flexmarkers

Trimmed it down, added a mat of the base card & a little brad at each corner.

I'm trying to use up lot's of my stash so I can make room for more!

A few little sticky gems & an LOTV stamped & embossed

sentiment were the finishing touches!

Good Morning all!

It's been a while since I posted & today, I have two cards to share with you!

The first card is this one for Just Inklined.

The image I have used is called For You

I've made a Get Well card this time but I can think of lot's of 

occasions that this sweet  image would be suitable for!

I coloured him up with Prismacolour Pencils.

These are new to me so I still have lot's to learn about them.

The papers are by Papermania. 

The border punch is from Martha Stewart, the gems are

from Meiflower & the seam binding bow is from my stash.

You can just about see that I've decorated the inside of the card too!
