New Home

Good Morning all!
It's almost the weekend, do you have plans?
There are a few things going on around here, so not sure quite
how things will pan out!
Here's the card I have to share with you today!

A friend has just moved in to a new home.
He's back to the single life, so I thought this fun image was apt!
It's from a Kanban diecut topper & sentiment set, called
So Macho- Funny Business.
it's been around in my stash for a while, just waiting for the right moment!
In fact everything on this card has been in my stash for quite a while!
I used an A6 silver grey card base & embossed with a chevron folder.
The dotty tape is from papermania,
I used silver peel off's for the sentiment to tie in with the silver foiling
around the image. I also added a little silver key charm.
I kept this card flat so it could easily be posted.
That's about it really.
I know a lot of people find making cards for men quite daunting
but I find if you keep things fairly simple & add a smile, it seems to do the trick.
Thanks so much for popping intoday!
Have a great weekend!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter - Charming (use a charm)
City Crafter Challenge - Feeling Flat (flat cards)
Clear It Out - Anything Goes (2nd entry)

Breakfast At Tiffany's

Good morning all!
I have another card to share today!

As you can see, it's another of the samples I made for the launch
of the new La Pashe CD Rom........
The Wrinklies At The Movies

This one is an easel card.
I used black card stock for the base & plain red paper to matt & layer.
The border was punched with an EK Success punch.
The design paper is from the CD
I used the sentiment as the stop for the easel section.
Added some ribbon & lace from my stash & a few die cut words.
You can just about see the little pocket/napkin with tiny cutlery charms.
I just couldn't resist, I've had these in my stash forever!
Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

The papers are from Lidl & the twine is from American Crafts.
The little buttons are die cut using Tattered Lace dies.

My Fair Lady

Good morning all!
It's a beautiful start to Sunday here, the sun is shining & it looks
like it's going to stay that way!
Here's todays little card!

It's another sneek peak at the samples I made using the
Wrinklies At The Movies CD rom
.My card is 8"x8"
I added a matt of plain black paper under the design  paper.
I then added some lace, black satin ribbon & sheer white ribbon.
I die cut a scalloped circle from plain black paper using a spellbinders die
then topped that with a little doily.
The decoupaged image was matted on to the black paper too!
I placed the image at a jaunty angle & added the sentiment above, using varying
depths of foam pads. The final additions were a feather, a triple bow & a little
black heart embellishment. The ribbon, feather & heart were all from

More Like The Movies

Good Morning All,
The weekend is almost  upon us, thank goodness!
It's been a busy week & I've been very tired!
I have yet another Anniversary card to share with you today!
This one is for my brother & sister in law.

I used the small sepia toned image from one of the La Pashe
Wrinklies At The Movies, decoupage sheets.
(When I was making this card, I had a song going through my head,
it was a tune by Dr Hook, back in the day, More Like The Movies.
I loved that song then & I still do now!)

I wanted to keep the card flat so I could easily pop it in the post.
The card base is A6 Kraft CS. I added a slightly offset plain black mat,
then a panel of white embossed CS which was offset the other way.
The flimstrip was cut using a spellbinders die & I added some clear
transparency fim to the cut out sections.
The little ticket sentiment was in my folder of images & sentiments
which have been printed off for a while. I layered up the bits from the
cut out sections of the fim strip die & added it to the top.

You cant quite see it but I've a added a black panel to the inside of the
card, with a white heart to write on. I've also added two
little black die cut hearts to decorate.
I hope you like my card, more to the point I hope the anniversary couple do!
Thanks for stopping by.

I made up the sentiment in my Graphics progamme.
The hearts were punched.
A few little gems to finish off.
