Love Cows

Good morning all!
I'm so excited to share this card & the story behind it with you!

I've made an engament card!
The image I have used is Love Cows from Just Inklined
an alternative view on romance! lol
The papers are First Edition, Boho Chic & the sentiment was
printed out using a free font called Serengetti ITC

Here's a closer look at the image!
Coloured with Promarkers & Flexmarkers as usual!

Little letters cut out with my Cricut & hanging from some lace!

Now let me tell you the story! Hee Hee!
A friend from work went to Africa on holiday & on Safari in the Serengetti!.
Whilst she was there, her partner proposed!
They were sitting relaxing with a beer after lunch &
washing their pants & socks then hanging them up to dry as you do,
before heading out on their second game drive of the day,
when the chap started to say nice things!
He says nice things a lot but ended his sentence with
" & I'd like to spend the rest of my life with you!"
The girl turned round to see the chap on bended knee proffering a cow ring
(which he had given her on her 30th birthday!)
Of course, she said yes & they bought some Tanzanite to make the
"proper" ring whilst they were there.
Hence the design of my card!
I can't wait to see what she thinks of it! lol

Another little side view to let you see that I have used the sketch

on the outside & inside of the card!
Thanks for popping in to see my creation!

Owl The Same Or Not

Good morning bloggers!
The card I have to share with you today is part of a special event!
Read on for the details about the event & I'll tell you about my card a bit later on!

The title of the event is.....Owl the Same or Not
At Just Inklined, they take Copyright very seriously!
They got together with a group of artists & decided to create a digital stamp on
the same theme, to show just how different they would be!

The theme was to draw:
A big owl & a little owl perched on a fence, on a chilly day.

(All proceeds from the sale of the $1 digital images used in the event
will be given to fundraising for a worthy cause.)

Chilly Owls & Wording Digital Stamp Set (which I've used for my card)
will be available at Just Inklined for $1 until 17th October 2013

There will be a blog hop on each of the company sites showing all of the designs.
Make sure you go & have a look at them.
Not only will it be interesting to see how different they all are but each one of the
designs will be available to buy for just $1 for a limited time!
Here's the link to the blog hop.

Now, on to my card!

I made an A6 tent fold card using Kraft card as my base.
I intend to use this card as a Christmas card but I guess the image
would be suitable for other occasions too!

I coloured the image in soft tones using my usual mix of flexmarkers
& promarkers. I then die cut the image & inked with distress inks
whilst it was still in the die. I added a few little touches of glitter
with my Clear Star Sakura pen but you can't really see it in the photo.
I matted onto a scalloped circel of Kraft card.
I ran some DP through my Big Shot in a (possibly Cuttlebug)
snowflake embossing folder.
I inked the embossed paper lightly with the DI too.

The sentiment was die cut & also inked with DI.
I then threaded some sheer ribbon & seam binding through the slots
& added to the card.

Just a little side view to finish up!
Make sure you visit Just Inklined to hear more about the event & the blog hop
but don't forget to snag yourself some fab images for just $1 too!

Good morning everyone & happy Saturday to you all!
It's time for a card!

This little project was made using decoupage & matching papers from the
If you don't fancy the CD, you can buy the printed sheets here.
Such a sweet little scene, brings back memories of those long, lazy,
 hazy days of summer!
Made me want to sing too! Gone fishing.....

My card base was cut with a Grand Nestie die.
I used a mat of plain white paper then matted the design papers
on to the white & blue. The fishtails were cut by hand.
Some little fish charms, twine & a button were added to embellish.

A little view of the side, you can just about see that I have
decorated the inside too!

Here's the inside! A similar layout to the front, but
with a little punched border under the panel for the message!

Silver Wedding Anniversary

Good morning all & a very happy Friday to you!
Today I have a rather special card to share with you!
Or rather should I say a card for a very special occasion to share!

Yep, it's 25 years since my hubby & I tied the knot!
Not sure where those years have gone but boy have they been fun!
The photo's aren't great I'm afraid as time was limited & all
that mirror card just kept flashing back at me!
I made an A5 card, using linen embossed card stock.

I blew off the dust, then cut the shapes & numbers with my underused Cricut.
The white panel under the numbers was embossed with a cuttlebug folder.
I the wrapped the panel with silver string , stuck on the numbers & attached
the TH so they were hanging in the 5.

Next, I tried something I've been meaning to try for ages!
I printed my sentiment on to some vellum then embossed before
the ink was dry. I then fussy cut around them.

The final addition was a little heart, cut using my Cricut.
I added an insert with a beautiful poem I found, which
just sums us up totally, in my mind anyway! lol
I had a lot of fun making this card, fingers crossed hubby likes it too!
Thanks  for popping in!
I'd like to enter this little card in the following challenges:

just one of the many beautiful ladies available at Just Inklined!

Here's a closer look!
I've coloured her using watercolour pencils then fussy cut her out.
The  base card, matting & layering are all Linen Embossed
cardstock. I love the texture of this!

The sentmiment was done on the pc using a font called
Respective Slanted. You can find it here free.
A perfect elegant font to match such an elegant image!

Here's a closer look at my cute little guy!
I've coloured him up using flexmarkers & promarkers.
Cut him out using a die & inked the edges with a promarker.
I used a blender to soften the edges.
The papers are my latest find in Lidl! I just love popping in
for a mooch around every now & then, as you just never know when
crafty bits might pop up!

The sentiement was done on the pc using a font which you can get
for free here. I love this one for Christmas cards.
I have added a touch of glitter using a Sakura Clear Star pen
but I don't think you can see it very well in the photo's.

Stepping Out On Your Anniversary

Happy Thursday everyone, almost the weekend!
I hope you've had a good week & are ready to kick up your heels!
I have a Just Inklined card to share today!
I have to apologise for the photo quality, I had to take them at work
during my lunch break & the weather was just awful.

This is a little 5"x5" square card.
The base is a sheet of patterened cs which came from Lidl!
Isn't it fantastic! As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do!

A little Monochromatic card!
The perfect image to sepia tone is this one, which is called
It's a very versatile image which could be used for so many different
occasions, but this time, I used it for my sister & BIL's anniversary card!
I coloured the image with a mix of Flexmarkers & Promarkers,
cut out with a nestie & inked whilst still in the die with
Antique Linen & Pumice Stone distress inks.

The sentimnent was done in a similar fashion, then I threaded
some seam binding & lace through the slots!
The ony other embellishment is a little old fashioned
safety pin which I threaded some lace & seam binding through!

I'm making a conscious effort to make more cards which can be
sent in the mail with just a regular stamp here in the UK.
This one definitely fits the bill as I had Jim the porter/mail man at work
check it for me in his handy little measuring guide!
Thanks Jim!

CFAS Pins & Lace

Hi di hi all! Happy Hump Day!
It's all downhill from here towards the weekend! Yay!
It's time for a brand new challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons!
The theme this time is
Here's my card!

I used an image from our sponsor who is our very own Jani!
The prize is 3 of her exclusive images!
You just can't buy them!

I used Ball Of Wool
Which I printed out several times, coloured with flexmarkers
I cut one image out, with a nestie then fussy cut sections of the rest,
allowing me to decoupage it up. It looks really effective IRL!
I inked the image while it was still in the die & dotted about with a flexmarker
for a bit of interest in the background.
The buttons are from my button jar. The flower button was  a spare button
from the suit I wore for my neices wedding a few years back!
I threaded a little button twine through them & tied little bows.

I added a dress form die cut which I embossed & inked,
some lace from The Ribbon Girl & a couple of pins from my stash.
The DP is a mystery so if you recognise it let me know!
Thanks for looking & I hope to see you in the
Pins & Lace challenge over at CFAS!

I'd like to enter my card in a couple of challenges:
Whimsy Inspirations - Vintage/ Shabby Chic
