Spring Is Coming, A Challenge & A DT Call!

Good Morning all & a very Happy Sunday to you!
I hope you're all having a peaceful & relaxing weekend!
How's the weather with you???
It's freezing here & therefore it's perfect crafting weather I feel!
With that in mind, it's time for a new challenge over at
The theme this week for
So crafty peeps, Let's See Some Fresh Spring Colours on your creations!!
Here's my card!

The DT were given the lovely
Lulu In The Meadow image to work with this week!
As a new image she is on special offer for just 59p
(I believe that's around 93cents in the US or 0.71euro)
She's just so adorable!
Now Debbie the lovely boss did mention green & yellow but.....
the little flowers just sang bluebells to me!
I know they aren't in bloom yet but they are beginning to
sprout & the promise of Spring is in the air!

As you can see I made an easel card & used a bluebell theme for my colours.
The paper I have used is a  from the A Touch Of Elegance
digital paper set from Scrapbooking Mad

I printed it onto both sides of the card stock.
I added a paper doily which was distressed with two shades of green.
Lulu was cut out with a nestie

I coloured little Lulu up with promarkers
& cut her out with a nestie.
I'm not sure where the paper clip came from but it appeared on the floor
where I was working so I decided to include it!

The Sentiment ticket is also from The Crafty Pad
& often features on my cards as it is so versatile!
other embellishments used are white organza ribbon,
little Papermania green mosaic gems & the little
Papermania flowers have been in my stash forever!
This week we have two sponsor's for you

Who are offering the winner 3 digi's of their choice from their shop!

who are offering a whopping £20 to spend in their online store!

Now, before I go any further, can I share some very some exciting news!!!

Little Mermaid!

Here's a little card I made to cheer up a friend!
The image is from JW Illustrations but I'm not sure she's still available
I've had it printed out for ages but not coloured it up until now!
She was just perfect for what I wanted!
I apologise for the quality of the photos but they were taken at night & I had to
get this card sent off asap!

I coloured her up with promarkers, the layout was a sketch from
goodness knows where! I wish I could remember!
I edged the DCWV papers with distress ink & added some buttton &
punched butterfly embellishments!

The sentiment ticket is from The Crafty Pad
it's so versatile & can be used for so many occasions.
I added some glitz in the form of  Glamour Dust,
A Satin ribbon bow & a couple of stick pins

Here's a closer look at the glitz!

I decorated the inside of the card to match the outside!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you like my card!
I'd like to enter it in a few challenges as listed below!

Hey Lover Boy!

Is it Wednesday already????
I guess in that case, it must be time for a new challenge at
Woo Hoo!!!
Here's my card!

Fanny She Devil sure looks HOT! in her Valentine's outfit!
This Fanny & her sisters are available from Dude Time Doodles

This week we have a photo for your inspiration!

The theme is "Add a touch of Red" to your project!

I tried to keep some white space to tie in with the photo & I used the
Black White & Red colour combo for my card
with a touch of brown for Fanny's hair!
The base of my card was a 5"x5"  square black card blank.
I added a matt of the fabulous shimmery red glitter card.
I added a greeting to Fanny & printed her out then coloured with Promarkers.

Fanny She Devil usually wears spider earrings but for Valentines day she's
sporting some large padded glossy heart stickers.
I gave her tail the same treatment.
I cut one side with my Martha Stewart deep border punch,
inked the edges with distress ink & wrapped a ribbon round
I stuck the image to the glitter card using photo glue & I can see a couple of
areas where the glue hasn't quite dried, sorry about that!
Top Tip Tuesday are looking for Tips!
I guess the tip there is not to use wet glue on glitter card as it doesn't dry well!

Inside I added a panel of white card which I edged with a smaller
Martha Stewart border punch, edged with distress ink &
added a strip of glitter card behind.
I hope you like my card!
Don't forget to check in with the other Dude & Dudettes
& leave them a little love!
Please also welcome Mags our latest GDT!
Not sure if it was the beer, cider & margarita's but she's fitted right in!! lol
Right off you pop & get creating, you have just one week to upload your entry!
This week, to whet your appetite even more, we have a sponsor!

Updated with better photo's!
It's Sunday already & time for a new challenge at
Whoop  whoop!
This week for Challenge # 155 the theme is
The DT were given the adorable Love Birds Image to work with!
Debbie, the lovely boss has put all her New Release Images on special offer
& you can pick them up for a mere 59p at the moment!
Don't miss out these offers won't last for ever!!!
So, on with the business in hand!

 Here's my card!

I used an A6 tent fold card base.
I coloured the image using my trusty promarkers & cut it using the
Out Of The Box Technique & an oval nestie!
I then inked the edges with distress ink
You can find a great tuorial here for the Out Of The Box Technique.
The layout was a sketch

I've had to search but I eventually found it!

 .
The paper is from the Ad Lib Collection by Bo Bunny.
I edged the white panels & paper with distress ink also.

The lower white panel was edged with a heart border punch & backed with the red card.
The word love is a Papermania mulberry greeting which has been in my stash forever.
It originally said With Love but I chopped the With off!
The roses are from Sweetpeapollys Crafty Things & the  flourishes were
 cut using a Papermania punch.
I also added two lengths of ribbon, red & green. from my stash.
The little heat buttons in the top corners were from my stash too!
The inside of the card was decorated to match the from without the
image or embellishments.

I hope you like it & are inspired to take part it this weeks challenge

Enter The Dragon

Hi folks,
I have a little Chinese New Year card to share with you today!
I had to make a couple of these, but as they were for totally unrelated parties,
I was able to use the same design for both!
 A great time saver!

I trawled the internet looking for a suitable image to use but I just
couldn't find anything I liked.
Then I remembered Dilbert Dragon from The Crafty Pad Designs!
He's a cute little dragon is he not!!!
I didn't intend to go cute but there you have it!
I couldn't stop singing "Puff The Magic Dragon" as I was making these!
I made the sentiment up in my graphics programme
then added Dilbert to the centre.
The base card was cut using a Grand Scalloped Circle Nestie which I
then scored & folded in half!

I cut a smaller scalloped circle of gold mirror card with a regular nestie.
I cut Dilbert out using an Inverted Scallop nestie & inked the edges.
The image was coloured with Promarkers & I added a touch of Glamour Dust
to Dilberts wings &  horns!
I added a couple of Oriental Peel off's which are supposed to represent water,
also a feature of this Chinese New Year I am informed.
The numbers were die cut but I can't remember the name of the alphabet!
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm On Strike!

Good Morning all!
How's the weekend going???
I can't believe how hectic this year has been so far!
Still it's good to be busy, right???!!
So, how about getting busy with this weeks challenge over at
Here's my little card.

I only have one photo for you today but I think that shows all
you need to see!
The image the DT were given to work with this week is
This image is available at The Crafty Pad Designs
either coloured or uncoloured the choice is yours
for the princely sum of just 59p
Wowsers!!!
It's a great little image to work with & I went off on a little search
to find just the right papers to team it up with!
I actually found a Digital Scrapbooking Kit
It was a perfect match as far as I am concerned!
I used the papers & elements from the kit to make a card front
using my graphics programme. (A first for me!)
I printed this out A6 size (twice) & added a bit of decoupage for some dimension.
I then printed, coloured & cut out the ten pin image.
I attached to the card with foam dots for more dimesion.
The only embellishments I added were some silver Card Candi.
I hope you like it!
Hope on over to The Crafty Pad to check out the other DT projects!
It's always a surprise to see what different result are achieved with the same image!
I hope you can find the time to play along this week in our

Bingo!!!!!

Good Morning all,
It's Wednesday & that means it's time for a fab new challenge over at
This week we have a really fun challenge for you!
First of all here's my card!

The Challenge we have for you is Bingo!

I chose the diagonal, twine,step card,brads.

The image is Ted TightEnd
On the football field, he's a bit of a scary character but off the field,
he's a real pussycat!
I coloured him up with promarkers & fussy cut him out,
before mounting him on to the card with foam squares for dimension.

The card base was made using an A4 sheet of cardstock.
I used a Pop Out Step Card Template from
Debbie Lauder over at Craftystash
It's so simple to use & saved on waste too, as there is an elements sheet included!

The papers I have used were a freebie download by Shabby Princess
I think they are fantastic & they were just what I wanted for this card!
I printed the striped paper directly on to the card stock & printed
the template on the reverse.
I cut it out using a craft knife & ruler then embossed the fold lines
with an embossing tool & ruler.
I added the sentiment to the panels in my graphics programme.
The font I have used is called Collegiate & you can download it free from here!

I distressed all of the panels with a red inkpad before assembling the
card & added twine & brads from my stash.
I have to say I was really happy with the way this one turned out!
I hope you like him too! Thanks so much for stopping by!
