Sweet Valentine!

Here I am again with this weeks DT Card for
Digi's With Attitude! Challenge #16!
This weeks Challenge is a colour challenge!
"Use Red & White OR Pink & White!"

What else could I do but make a Valentine card considering the colours in the challenge & the time of year!
My dearly beloved might be lucky & get two cards this year!
On second thoughts, I might send one to myself!!!
It'll most likely be the only one I get!!! lol
The lovely image I used was the newsest "Tween" on the blog! She's none other than "Valentine Tween" & she soon to join all the other cute "Tweens With 'Tude" over in the Digi's With Attitude Store! Watch this space!
Don't forget there will soon be a new freebie in store too!
For the design of my card I followed the fab Saturday Sketch from Sweet Stampin
The DPs are from the "5 Valentine Rose Backing Papers " set over at Cardmaking Downloads
I punched both edges of the large heart paper to give it the scalloped effect!
As you can see I opted for Red & White! I cheated a bit with a little Pink & Green but I think I'll get away with that!

I coloured the image with my Promarkers & I used a white gel pen to highlight areas on the hearts & on her shoes.I used the blender pen on the flowers & on the bench to give them the pinky tinge! I cut the image
& matt out with my nesties!

The sentiment I used was simply a peel off coloured with the same promarker as the hearts & the dress & I cut the corners with a corner punch, just to give it a bit of shape!

The little hearts are brads, my great little bargain find on my recent visit to the Hobbycrafts 70% off sale!
Thanks sooo much for stopping by! I do hope you'll find the time to join us in the Challenge! I'm sure you're all making at least one project using Red & White or Pink & White!
Don't forget to check out the other DT members cards at Digi's With Attitude! Challenge Blog

The Rabbit

The Metal Rabbit, or white rabbit as it can also be called, is known for its refined, sensitive and gentle demeanor. Their own space is important for them. They can be quite clever when negotiating and working with others and also show a driven, ambitious nature. They give it all they've got and put their heart and soul into anything they've committed to, both in their business and personal lives. They can be very artistic. Although they might not be outwardly affectionate, they can make very intense lovers. Their determination, focus and a wry sense of humor make them popular. They can be extremely sensitive, and are often able to use that sensitivity to see beyond the surface. They make good friends and great partners in relationships.

I made a card as I always do for the family who run our local Chinese takeaway!

I cut out the image & a slightly bigger matt in red linen card using the old faithful nesties on the Big Shot!
With the rest of the red card I created an easel base. I matted the computer generated greeting on to the same red card & attached for the stop, with foam tape for a bit of height!
I added some detail with a few gold peel offs & that was pretty much it!
As I always do I ran it by my dearly beloved for a quality control check! At that point he asked if  it was for the girl who works in his office & who kindly looks after our cat when we go on holiday!
Eeeeek!! I didn't even think!!!
Now I feel terribly guilty so dash around getting some other bits to make her card!!!
Luckily I had printed off two images so that was simple enough!
I had this lovely oriental paper, which I think my mum gave me ages ago! I didn't want to put it on the card for the takeaway as I'm sure I've used it before so I used it for this one!
I didn't have a printed out sentiment as such but I had previously created a paper with "Gung Hay Fat Choy!" all over it. So I added a small section inside the folded bit of the easel & hey presto!!
Thanks for stopping by for a peek!

Monkey Business

Evening everyone! I've been having a play! I've made a card for my Brother's Birthday next week! He loves bright colours so this is what I came up with for him!

The image is Mikey Monkey from  Digi's With Attitude! I bought him ages ago & have used him a few times! I just love his cheeky little face!

I coloured him up with Promarkers & cut him out with the nesties on the Big Shot! The papers are from the Some Bunny collection over at Scrapbookingmad.I came across these when I was looking for something else, I think the colours are just fantastic! I followed the February sketch from Dude Time Doodles and matted everything on to bright orange lightweight card. The computer generated sentiments were attached with foam pads as was the image.
The buttons were from a Christmas set of Snowman button brads! I just love that fabric!
I hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!

ATCs For Ali's ATC Swap Stop

Hi all, just stopped by to share some ATC's with you!
These are for the December/ January swap over at
The Theme this month was Mystical/Fantasy!
To me there's nothing more mystical than some lovely little fairies!

These are my little lovelies! I used a variety of different coloured Moondust card, which I embossed using different Cuttlebug embossing folders in the Big shot!
I punched the edges of some super smooth paper, went round the edges with  promarkers & then my quickie glue pen! I then gave them a dusting of Diamond Sparkles!
I added different ribbons from my stash, then added the fairies (which were stickers from my stash, stuck onto cardstock & then cut out)!
To finish them off I added a few gems or pearls et voila!
Just excitedly waiting for the returns to come back now!
Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back to share something else soon!

This Little Lady Definitely Has The 'Tude

Here I am back again with a card for
Please pop over & join us if you can! This weeks prize is a Digi's With Attitude! $10 gift certificate
Meet Cheerleader Tween, one of the newest Tweens on the block! She certainly loves life!
You can find her & all the other Tweens here in the Digi's With Attitude! store.
I coloured this little lady up with Promarkers. I then cut her out using my Nesties in the Big Shot, ran a Promarker around the edge of the scalloped circle to add a bit of colour and went round again with my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. I then added some Diamond Sparkles. I added some sparkle to her pom poms too! She most definitely had to be blonde because as they say, "Blondes have more Fun!"

As she is so bright, bold & sassy, I had to make the rest of the card the same, so I matted her onto some fluorescent yellow & pink card which I punched down one edge with my Martha Stewart punch. I trimmed the top & bottom using scalloped scissors and added to a 5in x 5in scalloped card.
The fluorescent card I used was in a goodie bag that I purchased from Southfield Stationers ages ago and I didn't think I'd ever use it but this card just had to be bright!

I couldn't find any flowers or embellishments bold enough to adorn this card so I made my own.  I made the flowers using two different sized daisy punches and the fluorescent card.  I ran a large embossing tool along the back of each the petals to give them a bit of shape then I used the embossing tool again in the centre on the front. I glued the two daisies together & attached them to the card using foam pads of varying depth.

The sentiment is a freebie from Sentiments 4 You I coloured it with Promarkers & treated it in the same way as I did the image! I attached it using foam pads. I've left the centre blank & will add glittery numbers when the time comes!
Thanks for looking!
Happy Crafting!

Here's One For The Boys

Hi all, I'm back with my latest offering, it's one for the boys & is a footballer card!

I was asked to make this for someone at work who's son will be 30 next week!
The only things he likes are football & computers!
I trawled the world wide web looking for a suitable image! I didn't want anything cute as I don't think this guy would really appreciate that. I eventually found exactly what I was looking for at Mo's Digital Pencil Too!
He's called Soccer Dude & until I put the pics up, I thought I'd done a good job of colouring him. As soon as you see them on the screen you see every little fault! I used promarkers for the image and chalks for the back of the net!!! I cut the image out roughly & mounted him foam pads!

The football pitch base & goal netting were part of a free design by Jan McFarlane over at  Card Making Downloads!
The footballer is wearing the  Heart's of Midlothian Away Kit (or it's supposed to look a bit like it!)
I had to use the away kit as until today I didn't own a Maroon pen!!! Typically, it arrived the day after I needed it!!!

The sentiments were from Sentiments 4 You.

I love these tickets & decided to large this one & use it for the stop. First I went over it with green chalk Then mounted it on to black card & cut out the corners. I attached it to the base card using foam tape.

The 30 sentiment was made up of two seperate images. I added the age to the centre of the Enjoy Your Day! I then cut this out using a nestie & mounted on to the same shape of black card!

Thanks for looking!

A Quick Make for Valentine's Day!

Hi all,
Happy Burns Night to you all! I hope you had haggis for your tea & addressed it properly!!!
Anyone who doesn't live in Scotland may well be wondering what on earth I'm talking about!
Today is the birthday of the famous Scottish Poet, Robbie Burns & we do like to celebrate his life & his work!
I just had a little bit of time to get this card together yesterday while my dearly beloved was out for the evening!

(Sorry about the pics, it looks squint in every one! I can assure you it isn't in real life!)
I used a Pyramage design sheet from Card Making Downloads. It was designed by Elaine Hayhoe & I love working with her designs for quick and simple cards!
The sheets generally include a matching backing paper or two which is always a bonus!!!
For speed I used a diamond top card template, created by the lovely Debbie Lauder, this is available on both Craftystash & Card Making Downloads it cuts out any need for measuring as it's all done for you!
I printed one of the backing papers on to the cardstock, returned it to the printer & printed the template on the other side! I then cut it out, scored, folded & went around the edges of the diamond top with some distress ink.
I placed a matt of silver star holographic card on to the diamond. then cut out the pyramage, inked the edges with the same ink and built it up using foam tape. (I tend to use only half of the sections provided!)
I then glued the pyramage on!
He's such a cute little dude don't you think?
Finally I glued the sentiment to the same star holographic card & mounted it at the bottom of the card again with foam tape! I added a few little hearts & a red, red rose.
Couldn't be without one on Burns Night now could we!

This card is my entry for the Card Making Downloads January Competitionpop on over & check it out!
Thanks for looking!
