Douglas McDougall

Good Morning lovely bloggers, it's me again!
This is my Just Inklined card for this week!

It's a little A6 card.
I used the sketch at  The Sweetest Thing

For my layout
The image is Douglas McDougall!
He's one grumpy Scotsman!
He's just realised, with all the fuss going on, that it's his Birthday!

He likes to pretend he's not a fan of birthdays but if you look at his face
you'll see he's actually a little bit pleased! lol
I coloured Douglas up with Promarkers
I think I'll need to practice colouring my Tartan but I'm sure you get the idea! lol
The Tartan design paper I have used is from Southfield Stationers

The sentiment say Nae  Anither Birthday (Not Another)
& I've added it to a fishtail & attached with foam tape for dimension.

I added some fluffy fibres & a button then some glass gems from my stash!
I used a paper trimmer for the bottom edge of the matt,
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed your visit!

I have to apologise for my dodgy photography!
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong at the moment??
Perhaps it's just the horrible weather we're having!

who they are by! The ribbon & brad are also from my sash!
I've had those brads forever & they never seem to go down in number!
I trimmed the paper edges with a paper trimmer to give the wavy edge.

Debut at The Crafting Cafe & A Freebie

Howdy do-day bloggers!
Have you heard about the brand new blog challenge?
Over at The Crafting Cafe things have been all of a hustle & a bustle
getting ready for the launch & for our first ever challenge!
We put out a DT call & had soooo many fantastic crafters apply!
Unfortunately we couldn't give everyone a place although we wished we could!
Anyhoo, lets get down to business!
Our challenge theme this month is a nice easy one to kick off with!
Here's what I've created!

A little scalloped rocker card. Cut using my Grand Nestabilities
Scalloped Circle Die. This card will fit nicely into a 6"x6" envelope!
The card-stock I have used is from Lidl! I love the weight of it!

The image I have used is Loving Embrace from

Who are kindly sponsoring this months challenge.
Lindsay is also a team leader at The Crafting Cafe
I coloured the loving couple up with Promarkers then cut out with a
circle nestie. I have to admit that my die slipped a bit when I was cutting &
my image is slightly off centre but I think I can just about get away with it! lol

The design paper is from Papermania & the sentiment was from a blog
called Sentiments 4 You sadly it's closed at the moment but I hope
that Lynne will open it up again soon!

I'm not sure who the flowers are by but I purchased them locally at
Southfield Stationers  & the lace came from a local haberdashers

Here's another view from the side.
I'm pleased with how this card turned out, as for once it was how I
imagined it would look!
Pop over to the challenge blog & check out the other DT creations!
They will be introducing themselves one by one over the course of the month.
I can't wait to see what you create for our

entries to our challenge, I noticed one entry which was sporting a
sentiment that I created a while back & offered as a freebie on my blog!

Just Inklined To Hop Out Of The Box

Good Morning Bloggers! I hope you're well!
Welcome to the February Just Inklined Blog Hop

Our host this month is the lovely Joyce who has chosen the theme
"Out Of The Box"
If you are already hopping, you'll have come via the beautiful & amazingly
talented Karen J. where I'm sure you were treated to something amazingly beautiful
Here's my creation!

I've gone for a super fun image called "Ringo"from Just Inklined
as you can see his forked tongue has been left
 "Out Of The Box"
I coloured Ringo up with Promarkers then cut him out with a nestie.
For those of you who don't know, it's Chinese New Year soon.
2013 is The Year Of The Snake.
I did a bit of research & discovered it can also be the
Black Snake & as black symbolises water, it's the year of
the Black Water Snake!
My  snake is in a tree above the swirly paper which symbolises water!
Now if you're in a hurry to hop on, your next stop is the awesomely talented
Tammy who I'm sure won't disappoint!
Before you do go though........ don't forget to leave some love at all the stops
as we have a prize for one or two lucky people who comment!

Here's a closer look!

I added some Chinese coin charms & twine from my stash

Here's the inside of my card! you can see the paper a bit better here!
It's by Papermania & is from the Licorice Sherbet Capsule Collection
Thanks for popping in! Always a pleasure to see you!
Now if you still need the link to hop on to Tammy, it's here
Don't forget that comment!

Watch Out Cupid's About

Good Morning Lovely Bloggers!
Long time no see!!!!
I've been busy doing a few behind the scenes things so I've
not had much time for crafting or blogging!
I'm hoping to get round all your lovely blogs soon!
Todays card is a Just Inklined sample!

The image is called Cupid You're Mine

Such a cute little Cupid & one very worried looking guy! lol
The paper I've used is from the British Paper Pad
available from Southfield Stationers. I got them
last year for all the Jubilee Celebrations etc!

I coloured the image with Promarkers then cut it out with a
X-Cut Heart Shaped Nesting Die. I had to use the largest die
so, to make a mat I drew around the outside of the die then cut it
out freehand. I did contemplate cutting all the scallops but......

I used the smallest die to cut out the red hearts then
sandwiched a red heart pin in the middle.
The red ribbon is from my stash!

I decorated the inside of the card too just for fun!
Thanks for stopping by!
Make sure you check out Just Inklined for
your Valentines day card images!

Feeling Tyred

Good Morning all!
It's Thursday & I have another little Just Inklined card
 to share with you today!

The image is called Feeling Tyred.
He's such a cute little guy don't you think, just swinging on his tyre!
I used Kraft Card-stock for the 6"x6" base & added papers from
Papermania "For Him" Colossal Paper Pack
(which I've had in my stash forever)

Here's a closer look at the image which I coloured with Promarkers.
I then distressed with a pair of scissors & a liquid chalk inkpad.
Next I cut him out with an oval nestie & matted onto a scalloped oval of Kraft
I used a sketch for the layout!

It from Willow Sketchie sadly I won't make that challenge!

I added a couple of buttons on a piece of twine. This was rescued from
a shop bought card my hubby received for his birthday.
The sentiment ticket is by The Crafty Pad Designs.
It was treated in the same way as the image.

Here you can see I've decorated the inside of the card using the
same layout but another paper from the "For Him" pad.

Buttons & Bows

Morning Blog Land!
Finally,I have a card to share with you today!
We have a new challenge for you over at

This time we want to see Buttons & Bows!

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo,

who kindly provided some image for the DT to work with!
I used the Stella Says Sketch #128 for the layout of my card.
Sadly I wont catch that challenge!

The image I have used is Girlz Present
I have paper pieced her outfit & the present & coloured with Promarkers.
I used a Circle Nestie to cut out the image & chalked the edges with a
Colourbox Cats Eye Chalk Inkpad.
I did the sentiment on the PC & edged it with the chalk too!
The papers are from a friends crafty clear out ages ago so
I have no idea where they are from.
