St Patrick's Day!

Thought I'd share this little St Patrick's Day card with you!

It's a little scalloped easel which I cut out using my nesties on the big shot.
It was super speedy to make!

The image was a freebie from My Grafico He's called
Cute Leprechaun & was designed by Tainted Sweets!

He's such a cutie don't you think?

Now I was doing this card in a hurry & forgot to check which paper was in the printer. It turned out to be matt photo paper. I'd never tried to colour an image with promarkers on this type of paper before so I ran with it! Don't think it's something I'd do again as it wasn't as successful as other papers I've tried & I think it takes a lot more ink!

As this card was small, I used lightweight card for the base. I then cut out smaller circles from DP's these were from Robyn's Fetish & the collection is called Coney Island Summers

The greeting was generated on the pc & cut out using a labels nestie.

I cut out the image & mounted him using foam tape & did the same for the greeting which is acting as the stop for the easel.

Black & White!

Thought I’d share this little set of ATCs with you today!

I made these for the monthly ATC swap over at the Cardmaking Downloads forum.

The swap is hosted by my good friend Ali!

You are required to make 3 ATCs related to a theme, which changes each month.

If you’d like to join in, head on over to the forum & find out all you need to know! If you haven’t made ATCs before, don’t worry, we’ll keep you right!You don’t have to take part every month, just when you want to!

I made these very simply using black card with punched corners as the base, then adding a white matt, which had the same punched corners. I used some die cut flowers (which I received as part of a blog candy from the lovely Ali herself for guessing something correctly on her blog) as the focal point & added some punched flourishes & leaves. I added some ribbon to one!

That was all there was to it!

I was actually rather pleased with the result after spending weeks trying to think of what to do! lol

Here It Is!

Hi everyone todays card is my first DT card for the Challenge over at My Grafico!

The Monthly Challenge theme as ever is anything goes!

The images I have used are from the Heart Fairies collection from Stockberry Studio!

 Available in the My Grafico Store.
Aren't they just the cutest little fairies! I have also added the little toadstools which were in my stash (from Digital Delights). I thought they fitted in just perfectly with these delightful little ladies!

I simply coloured the images using promarkers & highlighted the wings with my Sakura Clear Star Pen! No girl should be without one!!!
I then cut it out using a nestie on my Big Shot!
The DP I have used is from the Pastels callection at Southfield Stationers and I punched the corners with a Martha Stewart punch
The sentiment ticket is from Deborah Moore over at Cardmaking Downloads I mounted it using foam tape to give a bit of height to act as the stop for the easel section.

Can't remember where the round one came from I'm sorry!!
The shaped card mirrors the shape of the nestie just perfectly, I feel!
The ribbon & the little heart button were from my stash.

Oh La La Tres Chic!

Good morning all!!!

It's Friday!!!!! Which means this should have been a DT card for the
Digi's With Attitude Challenge Blog! I had my post all scheduled & ready to go, then I got the message to say....

.....unfortunately the team is no longer & will be taking a break for who knows how long! 

Hopefully it's not for too long & normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

I've had a great time working with the other girls on the DT & I'm sad to leave but there is good news too!!!

As I know some of you will be looking for a card today I let it run as planned!

The image I've used this week is Grumpy Gretchen, Tres Chic & you can find her here in the
Digi's With Attitude! store! The store I'm assured is still up & running!

I just love her & that posh Poodle!

My Mother-in-Law has had a couple of Standard Poodles for as long as I have known her!

This card design is known as a Pop Out Stepper & it's the first one  that I've made!

For the base card I used a template download, which was designed by the lovely Debbie Lauder over at Craftystash!

She is a very talented lady!
This was simple & quick to use! (Ideal for me as I'm often very slow at crafting.)

The template is printed onto one side of the card & the DP onto the other. (I chose to print my paper onto both sides!)
All the fold & cut lines are there to save you having to measure! There are also 2 sheets of topper elements to which you can add your own detail!

The Designer Papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs & the sentiments are from Digi's With Attitude!

The image was coloured with promarkers & to give the card a shabby chic feel I distressed the edges with an Ink It Up ink pad. I sponged the ink onto the background of the image too! Not sure if I got a bit too carried away there???

I  added a strip of ribbon down each side of the image & knotted some little bits of ribbon down each.
 I placed a little pearl on each of the ribbon knots, then a little hand tied bunch of flowers at either side of the front sentiment et voila!

Something Different!

Good evening fellow bloggers!

I've got something a little different to show you today!

A while back I had a chat with Derek & Kim when I was in Southfield Stationers factory shop  & they very kindly offered me some bits  from their latest pastels range to play with!!! It took a while to get organised what with one thing & another but finally the stuff arrived just as I was getting ready to go my hols & all my crafty stuff was packed away!!! (Gotta stop the cat sitter playing with it!!! Don't want to be responsible for giving someone the bug!!)

There are a few sheets there but I made a start with these! The first card is made using a backing paper & one image from a whole sheet of toppers! I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with this but it made it's own mind up for me!!!  

It just had to be a little twisted easel card! I kept it simple as I didn't want to overshadow the  image. The base card as you can see is white cardstock! I cut a square from the backing paper, cut in half , inked the edges using a sponge & a distress inkpad, then added to the base & the folded over section. I did the same to the topper then added the image using foam pads for dimension. I'm not sure how well you can see but on the darker stripes of the egg, I doodled with my Sakura Clear Star pen to add a bit of detail! I think it lifted the image which would have been a bit flat otherwise. I added the butterfly which is a peel of simply stuck onto lightweight vellum & cut out, then attached with pinflair glue. ( A technique I originally picked up from a Southfields demo way back when!)

I wrapped a length of ribbon round the base & tied in a knot, added a few irridescent gems & used a button & ribbon flower as the stop!

The second card is made using a pyramage sheet & a coordinating backing paper! The sheet had Valentine sentiments on it but as Valentnes day is well past, I thought it would make an ideal birthday card an 18yr old who's just a bit goth!!! The black & pink colourway is great! It's just girly enough without being OTT. I used an A6 white card for the base. The fold is along the top. I then added a matt of lieghtweight black card with I had punched using a border punch along the bottom edge!

Next I added a matt of the coordinating backing paper which I tied a ribbon around & added a double bow. I added a strip of white card then the pyramage topper which was assembled using pinflair glue.

To finish off  I added a diecut 18 and some black irridescent gems irridescent gems irridescent gems 

 Southfield Staioners, "The Paper People" are the home of the Bits n pieces range which I'm sure many of you will have come across! You can check out the website here! They sell online as well as from their shop!
The shop runs regular events, deonstrations, drop in sessions etc. There is also a little cofee shop which serves great coffee!!! (That's coming from a bit of a coffee snob!!)

Well it's Friday again!!!

Time for Digi's With Attitude Challenge #20

The theme for this weeks challenge is
 "Use you favourite image"

We'd love to see any new project using YOUR favourite  image.

I did promise not to do a square card!!!

So here we have my favoutite Digi's With Attitude! Image, this is Grumpy Gretchen, Big Deal Birthday!

 If I'm honest, I have many favourites as I really enjoy working with all the images but, this is one of the first images I got from the store & I have had soooo much fun with her!

This card is for a friend who has just celebrated her 50th Birthday but as she was a bit sensitive about her age, I didn't mention it on the outside but died on the insert!

My image was coloured with promarkers & paper pieced! I tried to stick to a monochromatic colour scheme. This is my first attempt at paper pieceing & I have to say it was lot's of fun!

I used my Sakura clear star pen to add shimmer to her eyelids, her shoes, bits of the cake & the board that the cake is on!

I punched the corners to round them off & added a matt of dove grey light weight card to which I had done the same.

The lovely Design Papers I have used were a freebie, which I think was from Joanne Barsby, ages ago & I had never got round to using them until now ( although I have to say I admired them often!!) Sorry I can't find a link to them anywhere!

For the layout I used an A5 rectangle card, to which I added a matt of the dove grey card which was

punched along the bottom edge using my Martha Stewart Punch.

I added a rectangle of one of the DPs & then I added a strip of the grey card topped with the same DP just above the punched edge using foam tape to give it a bit of height.

I then added two different sized squares of coordinating DPs which were matted onto the grey card and stuck on the diagonal to one side! I then attached the image over these! I next added computer generated sentiments & paper roses. Next was the large layered flower with the rose at the centre

& finally the round sentiment

which is from Sentiments 4 You

and was cut out using a scalloped circle nestie!

I think that's everything!!!
