Happy Birthday

It's Christmas Eve! Yayyyy!!! Only one more sleep till Santa!
Thought I'd share this card I made recently for a friends Birthday!
I was clearly having a pink & girly moment!!!

I used an A5 card blank for the base & the DP I have used is
a digital freebie I got absolutely eons ago!
I've matted it onto plain pink craft paper.
I've actually used the same paper twice but printed it out in two different sizes,
I love the effect this gives!

by the very talented Tracey Malnofski.
Such a versatile image & I so love her little face!
I added the sentiment to the image before printing out.
I coloured her up with promarkers, added some ribbon detail & some
little pink photo corners!

I handmade the flowers using a patterned vellum & added some
little matching diecut  leaves !
I also added some touches of glamour dust for a bit of sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you like her!

The Snowman!

Happy Wednesday all!
We're almost there!! Yay!!!
It's time for a new challenge at
This week, we want to see a project inspired by
Your Favourite Christmas Movie!
Now, I was torn as I have so many favourites but.....

Yep, I love The Snowman!!!
I also love all the old Black & White movies!
I opted to go monochrome to reflect this!!!
The image I have used is called
he is of course from Dude Time Doodles
I've used him before on this card

I used a 5"x5" card blank
The layout was the sketch from

The DP I have used was courtesy of Jak Heath.
She added these freebies to her blog just as I was looking for a B&W paper!
Thanks Jak!!!
I coloured the snowman with Promarkers.
I liquid embossed the snowballs using Anita's 3D Gloss & some glittery bits
to the snow & the snowman with my Sakura Clear Star pen!
I cut him out with a nestie & also cut out a matt of
plain black to go behind him.
The only additional embellishments I added were 3 black self adhesive gems.

I decorated the inside of the card a little to tie in with the front.
I enjoy doing this as it's a change from adding inserts,
it helps to balance out the weight of the card too!
Thanks for looking & I hope you can find time to play in our latest challenge at

Hello Ducks!!

OMGoodness we're almost there EEEKKK!!!
Sunday already!! This time next week we'll be well in the throes of Christmas day!!!
Anyhoo, for now it's time for a new challenge at
 The Crafty Pad!
This week for challlenge #152 we'd like to see
Anything BUT Christmas!!!
Here's my card!

It;s actually a gift voucher holder for my niece & her new husband!
They got married earlier this year!
I made an A5 card by folding an A4 sheet of
Linen texture card in half.
I added 3 panels of  plain pink paper then topped those
with a very pretty pink floral DP which was part of a candy I won!

I think the colours I have used fit the Colour Q #115 Challenge
The image is Roshell Ducky & Eggward!
One of my many Crafty Pad Designs favourites!!
I have used this image before on  this card

This fits in with the challenge at
Make it Colourful, where you are required to recolour an image

The Hello Ducks! sentiment just came to mind when I looked at the card,
I printed it off in Sunshine Poppy font then added a matt of the pink paper!
Embellishment wise, I added a few buttons & a pink bow!

Inside the card,I very simply added two little strips of paper
adhered at either end to hold the gift vouchers in place!
I hope the recipient is happy with it! I kinda like it myself! lol
Don't forget to join in at The Crafty Pad this week for our
Most of all don't forget to check out the other DT projects they're really fab!

Cheap Valentine!

Ha ha!
It's Wednesday & the Dude Time Doodles, Dude & Dudettes officially have a day off but
as there is a  fab new image by Marlene AKA Marlooney
being showcased on the challenge blog,
a couple of us decided to join in & make a project!
How could we not!!!
Here's my card!

The image is called Cheap Valentine
& will be available in the store!
I love the expression on her face! Flowers & Chocolates AGAIN!
All she wanted to do was to go on a Romantic Cruise!
Don't you get caught out my lovelies!
Wait until the festive holday/Christmas rush is over &
send him a just because reminder card!!! lol
My base card is an A6 tent fold textured card.
My paper is snakeskin & I've been hoarding this but I felt it was perfect for this card!
I coloured the image with Promarkers then cut out with a nestie.
I've used colours to match the Colour Q Challenge #115 palette

The layout is the sketch from The Sweet Stop

I used a Travel design paper from Creat & Craft TV for my panel.

I added some sisal mesh around the card & tied on an Anchor charm,
with some sisal ,to keep the Cruise theme going!
The sentiment is my own & I printed it out in Wacky Action BTN font
which you can find free here!

It's time for a new challenge at The Crafty Pad!
We've decided it's time to have a little break from Christmas so for
Challege #151 we want you to Send Someone A Smile
(But, No Christmas or Birthdays)

My Project this week is a gift voucher holder!
It will contain a voucher for a Spa Treatment! If that doesn't make someone smile.....
The image I have used is Penny Pamper from The Crafty Pad Designs,
just perfect for such an occasion.
For the base card I used a sheet of white A4 cardstock which I scored
to make a DL sized holder.
I also scored two decorative lines along the front.
I added two panels of purple Core'dinations Cardstock

I coloured Penny with Promarkers & added some
Glossy Accentsto the bubbles!
I matted onto some purple Core'dinations Cardstock then added
some lace trim!

Pick Up A Penguin!

Evening all!
Here's another little Christmas card I made!
I have made similar cards using similar images from
The Crafty Pad Designs,
This one is Penguin With Mug
But I just had to share this little penguin with you!
I used an A6 landscape card base this time around.
To make an A6 landscape card, fold an A4 piece of cardstock in half to give an A5 card blank then cut in half from the folded edge.

This is another simple little creation in traditional colours.
I added a peel off sentiment which was matted onto some green card.

I coloured the  image with promarkers & matted onto some mirror card.
I then added a matt of green card & some self adhesive gems
& a green bow!

I used Woodware Fluffy Stuff to give a bit of dimension to the
froth on the cup & the fur on the penguins hat!
I soooo love that stuff for Christmas cards! lol
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you're all having a fab Friday!
Now, I'd like to enter this card in a few little challenges if I may!

Christmas Cheer!

Hello all!
I'm going to bore you with some of the Christmas cards I made!
Don't worry, I won't show you all of them! lol
This is my first very simple little offering!
The image is Cheerleader Grumpy Gretchen from Digi's With Attitude!
Oh how I love those images!
As  you can see the colours are traditional but the image isn't!

I used a black A6 size card blank as the base.
The sentiment is hand written.

I coloured Gretchen with Promarkers & added lot's of glittery highlights with a
Sakura Clear Star glitter pen.
I cut her into a pennant shape & added a matt of red card behind!
I added a little parcel accent sticker at her feet.
Just perfect for the Cheerleader in your life for Christmas!

The holly leaves are also a little peel off accent sticker which  coloured with glitter pens
Thanks for looking! I'm glad you stopped by!

Love is In The Air

Morning all,
It's Wednesday already & that means it's time for a new challenge at
Yay!!!
This week we'd like you to

"Show us Your Holiday Spirit for December!"
Now you can interpret that anyway you  choose to!
Just make a card for a dude showing your holiday spirit!
Here's my card!

If any of you were on the ball, you may have caught this little freebie image
Bloodhound Christmas
which was on the Dude Time Doodles blog just the other day!
It's superb is it not?
If you missed it you can now buy it in the store!

Love is always in the air around Christmas time & I suspect
that is the case with this rather unusual couple!
Hence my sentiment! lol!!!
(I added the sentiment before I printed out the image.
The font  used is White Christmas & you can find it here free!)

I have a feeling that one of them may be a little more enthusiastic than the other!

This card is for a young man I know who is being pursued by a certain young lady!
I hope he see's the funny side!!!

I used the sketch from  Sketch Saturday for my layout

I loved the layout & just had to use it!
I wanted to keep the card simple so as not to detract from the image,
so I didn't add any other embellishments

The image was coloured with my trusty Promarkers
The papers are Papermania, the punched section is vellum & the
base card is made using red linen textured card.

Thanks for stopping by & don't forget to join in the Holiday Spirit challenge at
